casting Scrambleverse in a webcam game is one of the most deranged things I've seen a magic player do, I love it
As much as I love the cedh content, casual edh seems to lend itself to showcasing guest so much better
For not doing casual content you guys do great casual content! I think that clear line you draw between what is casual and what is cedh balances your decks naturally which is something that isnt easy to do when people have mana crypts and rhystic studies in their casual decks.
And tutors and dockside and blah blah blah casual is lame
I watched Joe on NN for years, hearing about this Henzie deck, then started watching Play to Win about 3 months ago... this is the crossover I've been waiting for!
2:25 Visions of phyrexia (usually) makes a powerstone on end step the turn you play it!
love the mix of casual and competitive on this channel! i’d love to see more casual games occasionally
I LOVE that you’re giving Joe the much deserved exposure to his channel! This was such a blast to watch haha 😊
Rename this game to how many boardwipes can cedh players cast in a game?
No kidding. I actively avoid board wipes but I also play pretty casually. I swapped a board wipe for a Titanic Ultimatum in Atla Palani.
I've always told my more casual friends that Boardwipes are the King of casual commander. Resetting the board in your favor doesn't always win you the game but it usually makes you not lose the game. That is why Casual games tend to go so much longer since people are playing to win but also not to lose where cEDH is trying to win and win fast. cEDH doesn't have time for boardwipes that don't win the game. ie Cyclonic Rift
@@SvviftDeath agree completely. I've tried to really encourage my friends to focus more on cards that help them win the game and not just wipe the board. Living death, board wipes you can use to your favor (ones that care about enchanted creatures, ones with counters, etc), etc.
@@TheRDRipley This is my style as well. I will play boardwipes but only if they actively give me an advantage. The ones that come to mind are Tragic Arrogance, Cyclonic Rift, Winds of Abandon (sometimes), Culling Ritual, and Fire Covenant to name a few. I have been prioritizing cards like Heroic Intervention more because there are so many boardwipes that being able to protect your board when everyone else loses theirs is the same as playing a one sided boardwipe yourself. This is best in decks that want to keep open mana for interaction but is also important when you notice your opponents not adding threats to the board. Usually a tell that a sweeper is coming and not over extending allows you to hold mana for protection.
I love the initiative in casual. It can really let one player run away with a game if they're the only one built around it, but anytime someone else can also take the initiative things get really spicy. These games are fun and I wouldn't mind seeing more casual games on occasion.
2:25 Tyler you get a power stone on the first turn of Visions! Sweet game XD
I love it when my favorite casuals and my favorite CEDH folks play together
That game was gnarly as fuck, sooo much removal hahah
Great shit guys, some pretty explosive shit!
Thanks for a great video!
"We have bladewing death tyrant!"
"That doesn't sound good!"
I love your Casual games. The decks are always great and super fun to watch. Hope they happened more often
This was a refreshing take on casual magic content on youtube. Love to see fun lists piloted well, and a game kept salt free.
I think Cam forgot to take damage for targeting the terror of the peaks
My brain: "Oh its a casual game, so we're gonna see some off beat cards and goofy syne-"
>Scrambleverse
I would die on the spot.
I love the casual content for guest episodes, it seems to lead to a lot more banter and that's always a good thing!
Great video as always! Cam using our treasure token was the best easter egg for us. GG!
This was really fun to watch. I’d love to see more casual games sprinkled into the channel.
Nice to see the lads on some casual, I'm in for this!
I enjoy seeing you guys play casual. Definitely would like to see more on the channel!
I’d snap concede to a scrambleverse over webcam
That was a fun game! The initiative is my favorite mechanic right now
That was a fun change of pace in gameplay! So many wipes, so....many...
small sidenote, generous gift on terror of the peaks wouldve cost 3 more life (because terror of the peaks really needed the ward)
loved too see a more casual game from you guys very fun to watch
Finally getting ready to get into cedh with a Kinnan midrange deck. Been learning a lot on how decks play by watching all your videos and appreciate the great content
Absolutely loved this game! I love joe and would love to see more casual games, it really allows for cool synergies and splashy cards that you don’t often find in Cedh
Henzie recovers so easily after wiping the board. An insane engine deck for sure
also this is the only time i seen anyone resolve a scrambleverse via spell table & it was awesome lol
I appreciate that every time you play casual, it's demonstrative of the crazy mismatched power levels, impossibly stalled board states, and ludicrous decision making that comes from "playing for fun" 😂
I love cEDH but a casual game changes things up. Fantastic and enjoyable game everyone! I can't wait to see another EDH game!
I love the CEDH contect but this casual content is so silly, please keep it up lol.
Nice game! Always a pleasant surprise to see some casual.
I would have a Henzie deck, but I opted for Ziatora instead so that I could pick up my big creatures and chuck them at people. Hamletback Goliath and Ignition Team are nutso.
Surely Posty already got Cherries a cedh deck from his patreon subscription? 😂 nice game though, super wholesome to see you guys using the 'proper" edh mechanics
Pramikon on PtW. Even if it is casual chaos build, I'll take it wholeheartedly!
It was fun to see Joe play with you guys. Always great commentary
Im sad Tyler missed that you can "have your cake and eat it too" with Visions of Phyrexia. If it exiles an instant (like with Pongify) you can get the powerstone at beginning of end step but then still cast the spell
Awesome game of casual. So much interaction as well which was great to see.
It was so fun to watch this game, I missed joe and didnt knew he had a channel!
Henzie is my quintessential casual commander. It snubs the power creep almost all my builds see towards optimization due to also playing cedh. When I want a good fun honest game of magic where I kill all my friends by smacking them in the face with big durgens like Syr Richard Garfield intended, I play Henzie.
Tyler you maniac, running Scrambleverse in a spelltable game
there's a few cool things i've noticed one when dylan's creature couldn't block he put it upside down and two a few videos ago don't remember which one but a creature blinked they put it face dow then faced up something i never thought of doing just little things are interesting and cool gg by the way play to win could play checkers i'd watch it just love this group of ppl
awesome fellas. love seeing some more casual games in the mix. always fun to see wins that aren't oracle breach brain freeze lines
I love Henzie/Umori, my own version is gettting some new cards thanks to this video.
Gotta say I love the casual content. Keep it coming.
It’s fun to see a fast-paced game of lower power stuff, but still played with skill and optimally. Some edh games on TH-cam are so long and boring to watch….never you guys.
It's about time! Two of my fav channels crossing over
fist time i see joe playing! good game!
I'm glad you said how long the game took, I was curious because I know it didn't take less than 30 mins for casual 😂
Only two minutes in and already casting one of my favorite cards. White Plume Adventurer has won me so many games. I don't need any other Dungeon delving cards because I play it for both effects. Untapping even a single creature a turn nets me so much value in my Roon Deck.
Turn 3 both Monarch and initiative introduced, that's my kinda game!
Nice work putting the drop on that Apex announcement....I see you.
Rules question: do the spells exiled with Etali, Primal Conqueror all go on the stack as the ability resolves? If so, I think you can cast Tangled Florahedron first and then the wraths and end up with the florahedron at the end of it. Not 100% sure on this, would love an expert opinion.
MORE OF THESE PLEASE!
I'd like to see you invite Joe back however maybe tune his deck up to CEDH speed and see how it does?
You could in theory do this with your guest going forward and then generate a lot of views for that type of content
Dope crossover episode!!
I love seeing the casual content on here
Love the casual games, definitely love to see more :D
Tyler forgot to make a powerstone in the end step after he cast visions of phyrexia.😢
"Necron Deathmark kills Aragorn" Cardboard Crack is seething rn
What are your guys’s casual edh restrictions? Are combos and fast mana allowed in a small amount or not at all? Would love to know
The P2W crowd has come out and said they generally avoid combos because they're so dialed in on them in the c side of things they don't want to do them in their casual games
I’ve never really read Aragorn but he draws cards and helps u push through a lot of damage. I wonder if he could be a cedh stax commander
Aw man I love the Pramikon representation! Just a chill game overall
Here for cherries. Absolutely love them!
Very fun game to watch!
At 19:20 Cam attacks Dylan with Goblin Motivator, that Dylan Goaded, meaning it shouldn't have been able to attack him.
This is sick. What’s good joe!
I don't know how much it actually mattered, but at 15:45 Joe shouldn't have been able to attack Cameron for the monarchy, since Tyler's commander was out.
Tyler I never thought you would do something like that.
I love baulders commanders, check out Lulu holyphant + Guild artisan for sudo vigilant and ramp
Is the music y'all use a bunch of trademark free stuff. I love that little riff I heard at the beginning of the game
Damn dylan not to be that guy but those facials are epic. Also, imagine someone putting up friendship as an offer to get monarch like damn dude this is casual.
just 2 hours ago, planing maybe to build goad with boros and those commanders and the video poped up. a sign? lol, goad is amazing, love that mechanic.
Joe's deck was so sick
Tyler missed so many visions of Phyrexia triggers :( first turn you play it you get a powerstone since you don't cast a card from exile.
Joe never got his terror of the peaks back from palace jailer. R.i.p.
At 16:15, how were you able to sac the dark steel mutation? That should’ve fallen off a few turns prior right?
He sacced Pramikon to Braids, which was wearing the Mutation
Fun to see some casual gameplay. Do you all keep any casual decks sleeved up?
Tyler has some nice hand writing lol
it was a great game! so funny!
4:06 I love playing legacy in edh
Joe's deck is sick.
I think you guys should do more casual just slightly more frequent. Slightly
2:25 He didn’t cast a spell from exile so he should get a powerstone
Joe was such a cool guy to meet at CommandFest and we talked about this deck. It's awesome to see it in action and some gameplay with him on the channel!
Apex Devastator is a card I want to play but never find a deck for.
I can’t be the only one curious about Tyler’s QR codes right?
Henzie is a beast! It's one of my favorite decks.
Monarch is the best mechanic for EDH. It makes everyone look dumb.
Monarc is great to move along the game
The link to Joe's channel in the video description is broken FYI
Fixed now!
Yo, the music at the beginning was great! What's it from?
Do you guys have a spotify playlist with the music from the channel?
I'm sure you're dance card is pretty full for games, but I'd love to get involved on a casual or competitive game
We'd love to talk more in early 2024!
Fun game!
Love the casual not gonna lie
I feel like when cedh players play casual it’s a lot of jank and the casual player plays their best deck because they think it’s going to be competitive still. Joe played well not dogging on him but he def had the most powerful deck
Great fucking game! More casual please!
dylan sac'd an artifact to braids when it needed to be a creature, also cam got the monarch from dylan when tyler had the monarch from his court
Scrambleverse? The most major headache in Web-cam Commander. No thanks, I don't want to figure out what infini-Tokens everyone has and what they are. Lucky for me you all had to suffer through that.
