I have the Simplex Ultra and went out to my local park today and man that machine was just smacking on quarters, nickels, dimes and pennies. No silver but, it's just fun to get out there and hunt. Can't wait to upgrade to the Legend!
Just a note..practice pinpointing with a dime on the ground...also Accupoint needs to be turned on away from metal or it will chirp without a target at times..a quick hit on the pinpointer button will also reset it. Also always recheck your hole. My first silver necklace was in bottom of hole after I pulled out a pull tab (rang 33)..pinpointer found the necklace when i checked the hole (rang at 12 out of the hole..was invisible to the detector(Legend) since the pull tab dominated.
I hope you enjoy it. I've had mine out and put in a few hours now, and I think I'm learning it's language. I really like it's power and flexibility for the price. Now to just find a place with some cool old stuff to dig!@@drewflesner5739
What they said, but to be clear, when it stops, it means the target is in front of the front edge of the coil. So do short tight left-right sweeps to narrow down the target. Back away from the target with these narrow sweeps until it just barely goes away. The target should be in right in front of the front of the coil now.
also ty you for the painting video i have the legend too and that will help me also and if you are intrested they make a smaller coil called the lg24 if you can find it it is $135.00 it beats the lg30 cause it is to heavy it came with my pro pack works well but it is too heavy and they also mke a sniper coil little 6 inch coil good for hunting trashy areas just a little info for you to get you started thank you again your friend from hazelwood missouri.
glad you liked it. The plastic cover is actually for a simplex, but I had to cut the back of it to fit the Legend. Works fine so far, was found on amzn
I think you can buy all the parts separately if you ever want the carbon fiber or a different coil. I'm liking the LG30 coil that came on mine after a few hours use in a trashy park (working on that video now), but before this, I was thinking I might need to invest in a smaller coil.
New subscriber here. I’m a new Legend owner too so it will be interesting to follow along with you. Good luck and happy hunting.
Thanks! and I'll try to keep that in mind as I make content to help us all learn together.
The Legend is a beast of a detector. Good video Man.. Happy Hunting . Peace

Yes, I'm just learning mine, but they do love coins!

Thanks for the tips, helpful to many no doubt
I'm seriously considering moving from my trusted ETrak to a Legend. Your video of a real hunt was very helpful!
Thanks Dan, glad you found it so, and I'll try to show more as I too learn it.
I just bought a Legend to replace my Etrac. We’ll see who is supreme!

nice vdeo keep up the good work and the more you hunt the more you will learn, keep the videos coming you seem to be knowlegable.
Thanks John, that's the plan! Any tips as I learn?
Work your coil backwards until it quits. That should be the target.
I’d recommend the LG 24 coil also, since I bought it I’ve never used the LG 30
Thanks, and yes that lg24 has been calling to me...maybe if I get big enough on here they'll send me one to showcase!😂

Once you learn the back away technique you will almost never use the detector pinpointer.
Nice finds. Looks like a fun hobby!
Thanks. You're welcome to come along anytime. I have a detector for you
Nice hunt- hope you're still liking the legend!
Yes sir, and especially the more I get used to the new machine. Can't wait to find something even more cool with it.

Man, I really want an LG24, but I'm trying to hold back from spending the money and feel like I need to learn the stock Lg30 coil first
let's go let's go treasure and adventure ✌👵
I'm ready!
New subscriber enjoyed the hunt.
Thanks so much! More to come
When you locate a target, use the pin pointer on the machine first. Then use your AccuPoint and then cut a horse shoe plug.
Thanks, I'm learning!
What software version is on the detector, older versions have problem detecting coins near iron.Make some tests with rings also !!!
I'm running the latest version 1.13. And I'll do some testing and let's all see!
Hi from Australia new sub, I detect too and like finding treasure too😀
Welcome my friend. Or should I say mate!
Thanks for the enjoyable video. Where did you get the detector cover?

@@JoyofTreasureHunting Thank you. I like the one you have better than the covers made for the Legend.
Amazon also has a full clear cover for the legend and one that has red writing on it, I ordered the one with the writing on it@@JoyofTreasureHunting
Try the LG24 coil. To me it’s much better than the stock coil
If I get a new coil, that one is high on my list. Maybe someday when I get enough followers, some vendor will send me one! Haha

Hello and good choice on detectors. First thing is your sensitivity is way too low
Thanks. I'm learning as quick as I can and hope to help others along the way with this machine. I'm liking it a lot so far
What’s that your shadow or are you just excited to try your new detector?
😂 nice of you to notice
I'm am definitely subscribing! Nice video man!!
@@billbarry2984 thanks so much, and more to come!
