Thanks for the video. Everything went according to plan. 24.04 is so good. Only one minor issue I have found in running it for a week, when I download a program, when it is finished downloading, I can't open it from the Software Centre [unless a recent update has fixed it]. Of course I can use it and open it the normal way. Definitely worth giving it a go. Very stable in my use of it.

is it possible to upgrade to 24.04 from 23.04? it says "Can not upgrade. An upgrade from 'lunar' to 'noble' is not supported with this tool."

available from the latest supported release. There has to be a way to do it with 23.10.
yes it's. If you want to upgrade early, before upgrades are officially supported, you can pass the -d option when running update-manager.(sudo update-manager -d)
I am also still waiting for the official announcement of the update.

No. None of these commands worked for 24.0 I could only get 23.10 which I am installing to leapfrog into 24.0 which I was able to download as an iso but I’m fresh out of usb sticks or the money for them
i cant get sudo mode to work or find password it refuse to let me do anything like is there another way without sudo mode since i no understand that stuff
sudo needs to be installed. apt install sudo. If you are root user you do not need to use sudo in front of command. If sudo is installed and your account is member of sudo group then password is the account you are signed in. For more help lookup it in google, how to install sudo on Ubuntu.
If you have multiple user accounts and you do not know root password, the first user account after Ubuntu install is always sudo member

Same but I'm not using Update Manager and I'm on Kubuntu, it says no new Ubuntu update available
@@iamtheabdi iv tried it both ways in the terminal and the manager...both say no new LTS just 23.10. On Ubuntu Mate

@@blueshells50 wait for it, people said it'll take 2-4 weeks to push out a bug fix update which will also enable updating from existing versions. I myself have given up on it, I'll update it just before 24.10 comes out.
