Carrier rework is FANTASTIC. BB's can sink you in one salvo. DDs can torp you to port with one salvo. Carriers CANNOT do that, but they are now dealing out damage - the way it should be.
Agreed, people love to complain about carriers but they’re just annoying, not broken, the other classes are still stronger
Yes but you can avoid getting death struck by a BB by simply not being stupid and going broadside you can avoid DD torps by simply avoiding them. You cannot avoid carriers.
The problem is that with the spotting removed even more carrier noobs that can stay untouched over the entire match just spam their infinite amount of op buffed planes on BBs that they hardfocus for 15 minutes outright not helping the team😭

Also, small detail. Enterprise did not have an armored flight deck. Wooden flight deck. The advantage was easier/faster to repair on the fly, downside easier to damage and increases the danger with fire.
Thr British were big into armored flight decks on carriers.
If I remember correctly the Yorktown class and the Japanese early carriers did not have armored flight decks they were made of wood

She was the eighth ship named USS Wasp, and the sole ship of a class built to use up the remaining tonnage allowed to the U.S. for aircraft carriers under the treaties of the time. Wasp was initially employed in the Atlantic campaign, where Axis naval forces were perceived as less capable of inflicting decisive damage. As happy as I should be that the Big E is coming to Legends, I’m more so reminded and devastated that this monumental ship was not saved from the scrappers. Still, now she gets a new life in this game. I hope they add other premium CV’s into the game soon; here are my top choices besides Enterprise:

SBD was USN standard dive bomber in early part of the war. They are slowed and could be easily eaten by zero at the time. Lot of them were shot down on the mission. Those pilots were real hero.

USS Enterprise was a Yorktown-class Aircraft Carrier built in the 1930s.
She was also the first US warship to sink an enemy vessel when her aircraft engaged and sank the Japanese submarine I-70 on 10 December, 1941.
Other nicknames besides Big E are “Lucky E”, “The Grey Ghost “, and “The Galloping Ghost”.
It was dive bombers from Enterprise that disabled and sank Kaga and Akagi. A mixed squadron from both Enterprise and Yorktown engaged and sank the Hiryu and the following day Enterprise dive bombers sank the cruiser Mikuma.
She was also the first ever carrier to recieve an ‘N’ designation for Night Operations. Butch O’Hare, the Navy’s first fighter ace of WWII, helped pioneer night combat operations but was sadly killed in one such operation.

The Yorktown class of aircraft carriers was the second ground up carrier for the USN it was the Lexington class of aircraft carriers that were the conversions from battle to carriers.

I do agree, some ships that got nuked or were scrapt, should have been saved. Not just in the us.
Just earlier today i dove into the history of the us cannon class escort destroyers, one of the 2 or 3 destroyer classes that were mass produced( atleast over 50 ships in the class) with one survivor. And one of the few ship classes that sailed under other nations.
I hate giving WG money and don't think carriers should be in the game and even I admit I'd spend money for this ship.
Btw even though the CGI is really dated, I suggest anyone who wants to watch the story of the Enterprise watch the Battle 360 series. I think you can watch it for free right here.
It covers Enterprise's design and construction as a Yorktown-Class carrier and ends with Admiral Halsey's failed attempt to preserve her as a museum ship resulting in her being scrapped.
