This totally works, scary but worked. Playing single player on PS4 I did it with 112 Movement speed and a Scuba tank, had about 100 sec left on both food. Straight to the artifact and back. 10/21/20
I tried this out.. it technically works... but.. 1) Expect to die a few times until you get familiar with the cave. 2) You need to be directly above the cave when taking your soups because they only last about 10 minutes and it can take a few just to get down into the cave. 3) You cannot eat while swimming, so you need to get what you came for and then go to the land area to rebuff or gtfo of the cave. 4) The artifact area is still VERY tight depending on spawns. I got bit a few times. All in all, I think the crab method is better, and I would say supplement that using the Cactus Broth and Bug Repellant when you dismount. You can eat on a crab, so it works and nothing aggros except piranhas and occasionally the sea scorpions (but not always). Do NOT mess with the Jellies because they can dismount you from the crab and then you're done. BUT, the bottom line is, both water caves have the same loot table and the west cave is SO much easier. You can get the artifact easier on Ragnarok, Valguero, Crystal Isles, and transfer it. There is literally no good reason to go in there once you get the explorer notes.
@IOS- MENACE The game is built around the transfer system, AND designed around tribes. If you're solo you have to do what you can to get it done. Why do you think you get the best hazmat suits on Extinction? Why do you think Blue Sap and Red Sap even exist in the game? They WANT you to buy all the DLC's and transfer. If you can't understand that, I feel bad for you. If you're playing on official, then you're doing everything within the rules, not cheating. I don't know where you got that idea from. There's no rule (or intent) to do every single map from the ground up. That's why transfers exist. Not to mention that you still can't transfer element, so the best way to get element is to farm the bosses. If you're farming the bosses, it would be inefficient to do everything the most difficult way possible. If you want to set artificial limits for yourself, go ahead. But don't pretend they're the "right" way because you say so.
@IOS- MENACE That doesn't even make sense. Aberration is the hardest map, and getting a high level crab without killing it requires skill, resources, and a ton of time if you're playing on official and waiting for a spot to build a trap. To pretend that I can't do the hard water cave when I can survive on Aberration is baffling.
@IOS- MENACE Yes, it's already clear you're the best Ark player. Jesus. 12 year olds shouldn't be allowed on the internet. Enjoy telling everyone how much they suck.
Cave dinos are not set to wander in any cave. They only move when aggro'ed, otherwise they sit still. The cactus broth is keeping them from aggro, which is the whole point of the video.
The west water cave is far easier. This is the hard cave. Dunno what that other guy is talking about. West: ark.fandom.com/wiki/The_Caverns_of_Lost_Faith East: ark.fandom.com/wiki/The_Caverns_of_Lost_Hope
Just lost a Basilossaur lv 214, 34k Hp and 900% melee damage at entrance of cave. Shak alpha lvl 160, lots of sharks, dunkleosteus, medusas, etc. My fucking Basi died in 30 secs.
Rodrigo Hlatki how? I brought in a lvl 160 basilosaurus and I can shred lvl 200+ alpha megs. The key is to avoid the dunkies. If they aggro from the alpha meg you lure the megladon out of the cave and fight it there
That's a pretty subjective question. It depends on what you're looking for: ark.fandom.com/wiki/Loot_Tables/The_Island/Caves Personally, I think the water caves (which both have the same loot tables (run West Water cave with a Basil, its easier) have better loot because they have the rare boss dino saddles (Rex and Therizino) as a possible find in every level drop.
You've clearly never run a cave before. Cave dinos aren't on wander, so they don't move unless aggro'ed. Also, @ around 5 mins in, you can see a Shark moving around, which it would not do if he was using playersonly. Nice try.

i have this glitch where the dinos actually attack me
worked for me, took 5 artifact in 2 days, also this method works on all underwater cave, funny to see people complain without trying
gonna trying it tonight & see
I disconnected in here a few hours ago just after grabbing the artifact. Really enjoyed the experience...
This was the hardest thing I’ve done
nice and easy. the hardest part was to get to a scorthed earth server to get the cactus sap lol :D
Just tell me how make cactus broth on the island ?
Transfer to rag
Take you 10.mins
Take a flyer with you
Better use s+ industrial grinder from structure plus mod. it will convert Sap to cactus.
@@swapniltathehcl this is useful knowledge, I'm playing modded with s+ so knowing I can grind tree sap into cactus sap helps a lot! ty
@@SifArtorias Welcome!👍
You can get them from Scorched Earth. Transfer them over the obelisk.
Works like a charme. Died the first 2 times, cause there is a lot of dangerous stuff around. But if you'll be a bit carefull, it's just great. Thanks!
Thanks for the help.
I tried to use my enforcer but it doesn't climb underwater. I tryed to explore but couldn't find the shaft towards the artifct :)
thank you! worked perfectly!
Why those sharks don't aggro, in the open sea they have a very far aggro range. Is that a special limit to the cave sharks?
Cave dinos are not set to wander in any cave. They only move when aggro'ed, otherwise they sit still. The cactus broth is keeping them from aggro, which is the whole point of the video.
do you think this could be possible with 130 movement?
Get swamp fever it will make you faster and drink focal chili which will also make you faster or honestly just tame a dolphin its so eazy
Just some tips certain tames allow you to eat underwater Like the megalodon. This is the reason it's called artifact of the cunning.
I can honestly vouch and confirm this works. Thanks alot bro lol, I died like 7 times and lost so many tames trying to get to this artifact.
Nice video, thanks for the info
Doesn’t look like I can fit squidward in that bloo area. Shit.
is this also known as hard underwater cave?
no this is the easy 1
@@ytteioq4591 do you know the cords of hard underwater?
@@seamusomalley5085 its on the west, if u google the island underwater caves and click on the first one it will show u all the caves, obelisks, etc
@@ytteioq4591 thanks

Cactus food did it 👍
by the way this still works lol. 3 years later...
Did you use a cheat to make the Dino’s ignore you?
Just lost a Basilossaur lv 214, 34k Hp and 900% melee damage at entrance of cave. Shak alpha lvl 160, lots of sharks, dunkleosteus, medusas, etc. My fucking Basi died in 30 secs.

Fun fact of the day.... This is the server I play on in 2022 lol
Does thos cave give the best loot or is Ice Cave better?

About 5 mins in the video you can see he agrod some of them
Idk why everyone here is crying
This worked perfectly for me every time I did this
@IOS- MENACE huh ?
Easy it works! Thanks!
is this the only underwater artifact?
Toschi nope, a lot more
Agent double07 ok ty ^^ btw i cant find a vid for all underwater artifacts
Toschi there are two underwater artifacts for the island. Artifact of the cunning (this video) and the artifact of the brute.
Welp I'm mad
Thanks
no way your not getting aggro unless your in GCM mode
its official dawg 💀
Lmao he paused the dinos making it look so easy
Dude I said the same until about 5:18 you can see some of them getting agrod
Next time go straight for the artifact, don’t turn around mid video
I don’t understand y he doesn’t just use a scuba tank.... it would be so much less risky
To show that it works also without.
this doesnt work. after your stamina is gone....
use chair or something
we see that u used playersonly command so dinos cant move, its not actually that easy in the video.
You've clearly never run a cave before. Cave dinos aren't on wander, so they don't move unless aggro'ed. Also, @ around 5 mins in, you can see a Shark moving around, which it would not do if he was using playersonly. Nice try.
Stamina never drained, not official.
ark.gamepedia.com/Lazarus_Chowder
Lol
Lol =)))
Comment from a guy who doesnt know what Lazarus is.
Clearly can see that you used command that will freeze dinos...dude pls
lol.... this is official PVE, no cheats allowed, but ok, whatever... google cactus broth and you'll learn something new :P
At 5 mins in, there is a Shark clearly moving around in there. You people are amazing.
