- FULL OVERVIEW AND SENT🚀 finally got my Arrma Outcast EXB 8S put back together. This build started out in a box. This truck been sitting for a while now I slowly cleaned and polished every part the plastics I cleaned and oiled repeatedly until I got them to look almost brand new, if not brand new, it started out as an EXB and eventually turned into this beast It is now.

M2C UPGRADES chassis, Motor mount, ESC plate, suspension blocks and hinge pins, 7 mm shock shaft kit, overkill CVD's, 7075 teardrop ends on the tower to tower braces center shafts are also M2C

Geared 39/35 on 12s. Rolling on the new Arrma 8s backflips. The tires are just a little bigger and look the same as the 6s backflip just bigger. I was a little nervous they wouldn't hold 12s but they did quite well but time will tell I might try some different tires just to see how the handling would be, a stiffer tire will definitely hold the truck straighter when Full pinned in the grass and sand but on hard landings, I believe these backflips will be much better and give it a little more Kush on landing

Vitavon bulkheads front and rear and hubs in the front along with their steering links. This is not necessary for regular bashing, but hard hits out there 150 feet or farther tends to explode the composite parts.

Thanks so much man that’s the second motor mount. I have done that way from hard roof landings. We need to try to come up with something to hold them in place and still be able to move a little bit for when the chassis flexes, and it was my pleasure. I can’t get this truck right It’s not liking 12s Way too much power.
I’ve got it turned down to almost nothing I dropped down five teeth on the pinion and turned my punch settings all the way down to three and it’s still uncontrollable.
Broke 2 arms on her yesterday and 2 vitavon steering links snapped them right off on two different outings.
I felt like a kid just learning how to drive a high powered RC car for the first time.
that new G2 ESC is so unpredictable you have to ease into the throttle, and when the power band hits, the truck would just flip out of control. Anyway I’m gonna keep working on this truck and try to get it right. I’m hoping my 5S Lipo’s show up this week so I can try it on 10s if that don’t work I’m just gonna stick with 8s
I did run my K 12 yesterday and of course that truck is a monster no issues at all. I did break an arm but it didn’t stop the run. I kept beating the crap out of that truck, I’m guessing the longer wheelbase helps. Keep the truck on the ground and easier to handle 12s.

Hopefully I can fix it like I did on the K8 fingers crossed I think you could definitely get crazy with the gearing and make this truck absolutely insane but right now she feels kind of tame on 12s to be honest.

Yeah man they’re definitely nice and they’re holding up pretty decent to 12 S but I really didn’t push the truck that hard. Time will tell but they’re definitely an awesome upgrade for the new outcast

Thank you Dennis yes brother that is the default setting. I can’t remember if it’s a half second or a second delay but it’s definitely there and noticeable. I fixed it on the K8 I just need to get in there with the program box and reset the settings hopefully for tomorrow, I can get back out for a awesome session.

12S OUTCAST 🔥🔥🔥I broke the stock motor mount on a roof landing last year the motor wire pulled out as I hit the ramp and had no control 😂
Thanks Lil Bro I think I remember you telling me about that but that’s crazy. I’ve done this before myself. It’s gonna happen when you land that hard on the roof it just sucks because I tried to pull it back around and the power just wasn’t there.

Thanks man yeah I could definitely do that but I think I might’ve found a solution. I’ll just have to see if they hold up and if that doesn’t work I have a local guy here in town that makes them. I just need to get up with him and see if he can make the ones I need.

Just found your channel been out the RC world for 21yrs. And you just made me make my mind up to get back into RC’s been looking at this truck for a month now how much do you think ruffly the cost for this build?
That’s awesome dude it’s a great hobby to be a part of. I’m guessing the price of the truck another 1500 in upgrades and then anywhere from $600-$1000 for electronics depending on what you go with. It’s quite expensive but definitely helps the truck out if you’re sending them big like I do. if you’re not jumping but 50 or 60 feet then the stock truck will hold up for a long time unless you take a bad landing but even an upgraded truck then will break. That chit would drive me absolutely nuts. Can't wrap my brain around HW intentionally doing that in the factory settings 🤯. I'd probably stop right there until it was sorted. These rigs are too big and heavy not to have solid steering with reliable centering, and smooth power control. 12s looks great, but 10s might be perfect in the stunt truck wheelbase 🤔. Just waiting on parts from Jenny‘s ended up getting the wrong parts from them this last order for both my 12S trucks, so I’m on hold until they get the new parts sent out. but on the table she seems a lot more responsive I don’t get why they would do that delay like that either. It’s not so bad on the K 12 because the truck is longer much easier to control when the power hits but when the power hits on this little stunt truck. It just flips the truck out of control, looks like I did the very first day I ever drove one thanks again brother and have an awesome work week.

If you’re talking about the radioLink, it’s awesome no complaints. I’ve been using the spectrum rugged. That’s a nice radio to but the quality of the radioLink blows it out of the water. The glass is crystal clear in direct sunlight no problems for a blind man seeing it the reaction time is super super quick quicker than you need for a Basher but if you like nice things and you don’t want to spend the $700 Futaba price tag I would have to say this is your radio, I’m dropping a video tomorrow hopefully if not tomorrow Thursday with this same truck running that new radio Link transmitter

They’re probably great lipos, especially for speed runners or just all-around bashing, but for what I do, I need to keep them light and those jokers probably weigh quite a bit

It all depends on what you wanna do with the truck if you want it for stunting then Outcast 100% you want better handling all out going fast bashing and jumping then I would take the Kraton 8S me personally I like the Kraton the best it’s a little more controllable with a lot of power

Hi Aldo, do the overkill M2C drive shafts hold the power?
What’s happening. I used to have problems with the CVD’s when I was running RPM arms and not setting my truck up properly but once I started gearing right and got rid of the stutter and stopped using the RPM arms, I have not broke a single CVD’s from M2c but in the beginning, I can’t even remember how many I broke it was a lot. And to answer your question if you set up you’re truck properly yes they’ll hold the power

I using the max5 HV and the 650kv Motor Combo
@@Campino-c1r yes that’s the gearing I’m running. I went low with it so I could turn the punch up with that 800 KV every time I tried to turn the punch up it was spitting in sputtering and didn’t wanna go. I was at a 3934 gearing originally, but for some reason this truck didn’t like that

What’s up, man? I can try to give you some ideas, but I don’t run those set ups anymore and I haven’t tried the new G2 Max6 yet either but I would probably start with the stock spur with a 20t pinion and go up from there watch your temps and go up 2 teeth at a time. My guess you’ll probably be able to get away with 20 or 22 at most especially if you’re in hot temperatures.
Try out the basher bodies from garage life rc. Well, he never has him in stock If you can get one from him, get me one too, please iv been waiti g for months now 😅

Just my opinion. But your strap needs to be threaded thru and under the plastic buckle to lock it in. You probably knew that and we're just testing every one. Never had a battery fall out.
I’ve tried it both ways, and it doesn’t seem to matter when the lipos are that thick there’s just not enough lock down on the Velcro to hold them in place, but your opinion is spot on

Hey, how do you do the settings on that? Max 5 G2 if you're having to use the buttons, I can't even get it to go into the setting mode to change the settings
What’s up Kenny the new G2 series esc’s you have to have the new program card to set them. I don’t believe you can do it with the button anymore not on the max 5 anyway and if you have an old program box you can use that you just need the new sticker that goes on that program box because the settings are completely different.

I understand 100% thanks for the year following the channel much appreciated. I bash like this and build RC cars without TH-cam. I just felt like sharing with the world is why I started this channel of what I already do. I’m not trying to make any money off of this or sway anybody towards a certain brand just simply sharing what I like to do and I still enjoy it. Every time I go out which is about three or four times a week maybe one day it’ll get boring and I’ll do something different but I’m still trying to get over that fence.

What’s up man and thank you appreciate your time. Typically when you go from 8 to 12 S with the same motor, I would drop about four teeth and start there. You can always go up if you need to it also depends on what motor you’re running on a 800kv I usually run a 39 Spur and 35 pinion.
On the fans if you’re really sending them big, I would just gear to where you don’t overheat but if you do wanna run the fans, I would check out hyper flow fans hope this helps dude🚀💪✌️👊

Another great vid. I have the max 5 g2 and castle 800kv. Can you please tell me how to get rid of the delay? My 1st hobbywing and i hate it. I've tried different settings and still a bad delay. And 1 to 1 gearing. Aldo, PLEASE tell me how to get rid of delay?
Are you running it on 8s or 12s you have to go into the settings with a program card and turn the delay off? Also, it sounds like ya might be a little over geared especially if you’re running on 12 S.
@AldoLoyal running 12s. 41pinion 39spur. 6200mah cnhl lipos. My xlx2 800kv combo worked great on 8s. But I just can't seem to dial in and the hobbywing. Can you please share ur settings? I do have the hobbywing program card.

Thanks man much appreciated. That was a bad hit. I knew there was gonna be some bad damage before I even seen what happen lucky I had the spare parts I needed to get the truck up and running quickly. Now I just need to get the time to get back out. And those vitavon bulkheads Work real nice you don’t have to worry about the screws popping out and honestly they’re not that much heavier than the composite. I’m gonna put this truck on the scales today and post the weight on FB. And that 5687 is a powerhouse I’ve got a couple of those in some other trucks.💪💪🚀👍

Thanks man I don’t think ya would go wrong that’s for sure. The value between the two trucks it’s not even close what you get for 1000 bucks from arrma it’s all that. I’ve been running my outcast EXB for close to a year with very little damages and it’s set up just like the new RTR👍💪💪

I need those in my life. Sucks about the roof landing but she took it really well considering it was going that fast and that high.

Damn bro that outcast is taking flight. I bent my m2c motor mount like that on my kraton doing 60 mph into a damn pole. Its crazy how damn strong these m2c goodies are and how much it protects the car as a whole. Bash on brother.
