11:30 close. mobs require a solid surface on the top of a tile in order to spawn. bottom slabs don't provide this, since their top is in the middle of the tile, but top slabs (the ones your ceiling is made of) do.
I figured I had them upside-down for that. But I like the log accent too much to change it now 😂
