Then you can get stronger bigger without injury cheers Trog
For me, one of the best knives you tested was esse 5. But.. you didn't abuse it, not even half of the abuse of the Ak47. If you test again all the knves you tested so far with the same way, 70% will not make it pass the car test, and 98% not pass the el brico. Everyone, the way a knife breaks, tells us everything for the heat treatment. Compare ak vs bk7 breaking point, and you will understand a lot. For me, this is the best blade so far. Excellent review, excellent knife. Congrats to cold steel for the amazing heat treatment. Thank you bro for the reviews.😊
The abuse was not the same, the abuse on Ak was way more and held better. Yes the esse 5 broke with less abuse. This is what I said. Which one is better, tougher, you think? Ak or esse5
JoeX, I think we must all admit: without going into the water, something is missing. Good job, just please do not fall too hard and break the river. There are limits to the violence water can handle.

JoeX. Excellent video as always! Man it’s gorgeous where you live! Marlboro!! Cutting down trees with knives. Then batoning the trunk. Always badass. Rock vs. knife. Rock wins.
AK-47 did better than I expected...Awesome Job Joe!. I always thought the AK -47 blade with the old CS 3V Warcraft Tanto handle would have been an awesome knife...
I never tried the current Cold Steel Warcraft knives. My original 3V Warcraft 5” & 7” versions have handles very similar to the Cold Steel Recon 1 folder.
Always love your videos Joe. I really appreciate what you do. Before I buy a knife, I check to see if you have a video on it. Helps me out. Have a great weekend.
VERY fun entertainment, and superb test again 👍 Good knife, no? Weird handle. But expensive as sheit. Re-watching the vid, smoking cigar is more for me; i'm way to slow for live chat reacting :-) Have a great weekend Joe⚔️ 👋 from 🇳🇱, TW.
Decent knife with a really uncomfortable handle . Copying the handle from the AK-47 Folder , was a mistake . Too expensive for what you get. I've seen two different blade grind geometries from "CS". Which blade grind is the real Cold Steel ? Excellent video as usual JOEX.
Great destruction test Joe. It's good to see this knife doing so well, better than some so called tough survival knifes you've tested in the past...mentioning no names 😁
I'm curious about the blade vs handle survival here. The SR1 in s35 and g10 saw the blade tend to go first. The SR1 lite in aus8 clone and griv-ex tended to see the handle go first. 3v might be another for handle failure first. Edit: Oh, this isn't the folding one. Well that throws it all out.
I re-watched your "BARK RIVER BRAVO VORTEX - CPM 3V" video and it looks like the AK47 outperformed the Bravo with a thinner blade and a finer grain structure After watching this I'm going to pickup the Cold Steel 3V Master Hunter Really enjoyed your diving from the tree and of course the blood puking 👍
3V master hunter is a good medium sized knife, but the new version is really thick behind the edge unfortunately. Gives it strength but limits it's slicing ability. Good utility/survival knife, but not the greatest hunting knife with the thickness. I've got several and none of them came very sharp unfortunately. The blade edge benefits a lot from a convex edge if you can put one on it. The 3V SRK I got is one of the sharpest factory edge's I've ever received however.

Joe, I think the best blade you have ever tested is 4Max is Aus10A, was the only one that survived full round of abuse, is this correct? Keep up the amazing work!
This video shows very nicely that modern CPM steels are not much better in practice (if at all) than conventional steels, which are wrongly referred to as middle class. The material is partially over-alloyed and therefore tends to break out very quickly. This was also shown nicely. It confirms my opinion that conventional steels are absolutely top-notch and do not need to hide behind powder metallurgical steels.
The edge holding ability of 3V + it's toughness is really what makes it worthwhile. CS gives it a great heat treat that slightly favors toughness. It's not going to be as tough as a simple steel like 5160, but it will be better with all other attributes. Definitely more corrosion resistant, it's partially stainless.
JoeX, you should consider testing the KABAR D2 Extreme. It's still a "shit tang" like the other Kabars you tested, but D2 steel and fully hardened, so there should be no bending going on. Would be very curious to see how it compares to the original.

Is this a new version of the knife produced in Taiwan? I don't see exactly what the logo is. The screws securing the linings are clear, not black, which would indicate a new model. The new models have different cuts, in my opinion worse than the Italian version, the tip is more delicate. However, the most important thing is the correct heat treatment of steel. In the case of this knife, you can see that they put in the work and did it well. The knife has endured a lot.
