Sure... everyone likes compliments. However, imo, niche isn’t about acquiring compliments-it’s more about acquiring _interest_ in the wearer. If you ask me... “run-of-the-mill” has no place in the niche arena. If it’s commonplace, then it’s bad. Not bad-smelling... just bad for niche. This arena is not the place for “safe”. This is the arena of adventure. It’s the place for the man who has something deeper up his sleeve. For the Multidimensional Man or Woman. Not superficial at all. Like George Zaharoff said, “[y]ou don’t become the fragrance. The fragrance becomes you”. One shouldn’t think that niche is entitled to a high price point if the _class_ is absent.
I'm glad you kept it 100 lol. I thought this was pretty meh and uninteresting myself. Glad I only bought a 10ml. This, in my opinion is a hard pass. Especially at the price point. I'll stick to other similar scents that are blended better and are more reasonably priced (Ultra Male)

Honest reviewing, J 🙏🏻 I agree that for that kind of cash you’d usually expect something very original/creative, but I think Jeremy’s idea is, and always has been, to get compliments in whatever situation the fragrance is intended for. I guess that Jeremy would say that the test of this fragrance would be to wear it on a date, then if the girl compliments you and maybe moves in a little closer.... that would be worth the admission price. I have issues with Armaf some of them I think are very synthetic, few days ago I bought Armaf black Onyx and at the first sniff not too bad, but after a couple of minutes men I had a headache cuz it has something too strong. Yes!! I wore this on a date night with the Wife. We went to a comedy show several months ago. It was decent for the first hour, then it just became this chemical mess - and you were stuck with this loud/sharp chemical smell. Not pleasant.
I bought both Office and Date for 60% off. At those prices, they were a great deal. I like both fragrances, but I find Date to be a less intense version of Ultra Male.
Great and honest review, I bought Date for men and liked it very much. I did not get the same experience on the opening as you did, I do not know if having the regular fragrance bottle makes a different, but it has a very smooth opening. Yes, it does remind me of JPG Ultra male, but in a more mature way. For me it is a cool or cold weather fragrance that has gotten me complements. Price, I agree it is too high, but with the specials that are offered sometimes, I think it is worth it.
My thoughts when I smelled it were ultra male. I'd rather purchase ultra male again before I spend what jeremy is charging. I sold my ultra male though
in Australia its $365 dollars PLUS shipping. I just ordered Xerjoff 1888, also 100ml from New Zealand and the total including shipping costs was less than Date For Men's bottle alone. Look at the presentation?! It's worse that just about every single cheapy designer. Oud? Doubt it, Extrait? doubt it. I wouldn't support this fragrance in any capacity. It's a rip off. I'm getting back to trying new colognes. What do you think is the best way to test them. Is it on paper, your hand, arm? etc. I was not impressed with the sample of Creed Aventus I got.
Test on skin if you only have a small sample or are at department stores wear short sleeves. Spray where you can bring to your nose to smell dry down later. If you want to only test one, do the neck shoulders like in the video so you can see test for projection/reactions. Aventus is hyped and reviewers pay homage because its iconic it took the frangrance world by storm plus its a proven compliment getter over the years but nowadays many people don't love it look at all the women's blind rating of it.

I think that EDTs will typically have better projection. They will fill the space around you without you having to move around. Denser concentrations are heavier, and therefore will not project as much, but will still linger a lot more in the air around you as you move. That’s what I’m referring to as sillage.
I bought the 10 ml date ( my lady loves it ) I got 2 for the price of one I also have Layton de Marly and I challenge anyone to apply both to each wrist and not see the overwhelming similarities in the two Date initially is a bit more fruity but after ten mins there the same to our noses interested to know if it’s only me that thinks so 😉

Hi John, its hard for me to rate the compliment factor in that way. Ultra Male would not be my first choice for a hot day. I try to only wear it at night when its not so hot. As long as you don't wear too much, I think you'll definitely get compliments if you're around younger people and doing something fun.

The sole problem of Jeremys fragrance is its price. If Date is comparable to Ultra Male and that costs more than 50% less then go figure why all the hate. On the other hand Date is suppose to be a niche fragrance and it smells lesser compared to a designer so go figure some more. If Fragrance One smelling like they do were priced below 100$ mark then ok. But as things stand it looks to me like money out the windows for something that doesn't smell even close to niche.

I started following the frag comm about 1 year ago. I followed, Smelly, Carolina,Royl, GentScent, Beard, Robes08, Cuba, CJCiti, JC, Chaos, ImagineScent, Kevin Samuel, Bowtie, Joy Amin, and I watched a ton of Jeremys videos, I caught a 60% off full cart flash sale on his TH-cam story. Got both full bottles under $175(about $87.50 each). So I felt like I caught a steal. IMO he made these 2 inspirations for his followers, a scent for the office, a scent for dates, and then he enhanced the performance and projection on both. I have come to the conclusion that I personally do not like iris frags at all. So Creed GIT and Office are my go to office frags. With that said, i get tons of compliments on both Date and Office, actually, they both even win out on side by side versus battles with other popular designer fragrance (I'll try Date vs Ultra Male with my friends and fam next). Considering I got both on a steal, they both last a true 8-10, i have no doubts everyone can smell my fragrance when i decide to wear them and with all the hype they are one hell of a conversation piece, I've got to say I am pleased with my purchase. I can agree that both Date and Office are pretty linear. Like a popular song being played loud by a soloist, that every body knows, but has no riffs, no clever improvisations, no arpeggios, no trills, no crescendos, no staccato, etc and this is where the experienced noses in the frag comm call Jeremy out for BS. I totally get the dissapointment and negative reviews but for a guy that has a little coin to spend and wants Suavage, ADGProfumo, Dilan Blue type frag but wants to smell a little different and have conversation starter Office and Date kinda fit the bill. This maybe ironic but Jeremy may need to just come out with a Fragrance One "Niche" for men. That will evelove into 4 or 5 different smells over an 8 -10 hour window. If he pulls that off I'd like to see what the experienced noses have to say then. From a Birds eye view to see Jeremy go from an inspired fan, to TH-camr, Frag reviewer to #1 Influencer, to having your his own frags and pulling it off i gotta say is pretty impressive. He got the hot chicks doing the side by sides versus battles. Then dropped his own line. Jeremys original vids were for dudes who wanted the hot chicks to smell them and not spend $100+ bucks for a frag that only performed for 4‐6 hours dur to poor reformulations. So he found a lane and took advantage of it with his huge following. Cap Tip IMO.
Some really great points bro. I don't have a problem with Jeremy's hustle at all, which is why I didn't mention anything about him in my review (other than the fact that he is the mind behind his company). This fragrance doesn't represent him to me. I wish all the best for him, and that his products only continue to improve in quality.
Your face at the beginning cracked me up. I never smelled any of the Ultra Male fragrances except the original. I had a sample of it and I'm gonna be brutally honest. I hated it! Lol
Jeremy is not the same, he use to talk to his Subscribers and well was a people person, He's not that any more :( when first subbed to him he had 25k-60ksubs not sure any more but yeah he use to talk. any who he should have asked other Frag heads and reviewers to help finalize his scents, he had those resources back then but he did not use them... I miss the fragrance community back then
I have tried all fragrances from fragrance one, i think he shouldn t have done date & unisex personally . Date is too much like office and i don't get oud.. when you say it contains real oud from Laos 🇱🇦 you should expect an animalic oud, if there is, it's only there for perfomance & not the scent profile... and the price..... price/value proposition is not there man, even black tie. Black tie is very special but almost unwearable, i keep having to go wash it off, it gets me dizzy because it s too abrasive .

The stronger the concentration doesn't equate to sillage more to longevity and depth, edt usually have better sillage

The bottle you have and the performance of it’s atomizer remind me of Jovan Secret Amber which reminds me of the dollar store or old drugstore frags.
You should try Zara Gourmond Leather. Is a better performing Ultramale with a touch of leather. I bought 4 bottles it was that good.

The sole problem of Jeremys fragrance is its price. If Date is comparable to Ultra Male and that costs more than 50% less then go figure why all the hate. On the other hand Date is suppose to be a niche fragrance and it smells lesser compared to a designer so go figure some more. If Fragrance One smelling like they do were priced below 100$ mark then ok. But as things stand it looks to me like money out the windows for something that doesn't smell even close to niche.
The only reviewer I could travel to have a drink with and hear him talk ...

I prefer Icon Racing. But I can't really compare them that much, other than they're both sweet.

It may come across a little bit P.R. Who makes your t-shirts?
The first one is from Topman, the 2nd one is from Uniqlo.
I started following the frag comm about 1 year ago. I followed, Smelly, Carolina,Royl, GentScent, Beard, Robes08, Cuba, CJCiti, JC, Chaos, ImagineScent, Kevin Samuel, Bowtie, Joy Amin, and I watched a ton of Jeremys videos, I caught a 60% off full cart flash sale on his TH-cam story. Got both full bottles under $175(about $87.50 each). So I felt like I caught a steal. IMO he made these 2 inspirations for his followers, a scent for the office, a scent for dates, and then he enhanced the performance and projection on both. I have come to the conclusion that I personally do not like iris frags at all. So Creed GIT and Office are my go to office frags.
With that said, i get tons of compliments on both Date and Office, actually, they both even win out on side by side versus battles with other popular designer fragrance (I'll try Date vs Ultra Male with my friends and fam next). Considering I got both on a steal, they both last a true 8-10, i have no doubts everyone can smell my fragrance when i decide to wear them and with all the hype they are one hell of a conversation piece, I've got to say I am pleased with my purchase.
I can agree that both Date and Office are pretty linear. Like a popular song being played loud by a soloist, that every body knows, but has no riffs, no clever improvisations, no arpeggios, no trills, no crescendos, no staccato, etc and this is where the experienced noses in the frag comm call Jeremy out for BS.
I totally get the dissapointment and negative reviews but for a guy that has a little coin to spend and wants Suavage, ADGProfumo, Dilan Blue type frag but wants to smell a little different and have conversation starter Office and Date kinda fit the bill.
This maybe ironic but Jeremy may need to just come out with a Fragrance One "Niche" for men. That will evelove into 4 or 5 different smells over an 8 -10 hour window. If he pulls that off I'd like to see what the experienced noses have to say then.
From a Birds eye view to see Jeremy go from an inspired fan, to TH-camr, Frag reviewer to #1 Influencer, to having your his own frags and pulling it off i gotta say is pretty impressive. He got the hot chicks doing the side by sides versus battles. Then dropped his own line. Jeremys original vids were for dudes who wanted the hot chicks to smell them and not spend $100+ bucks for a frag that only performed for 4‐6 hours dur to poor reformulations. So he found a lane and took advantage of it with his huge following. Cap Tip IMO.
Some really great points bro. I don't have a problem with Jeremy's hustle at all, which is why I didn't mention anything about him in my review (other than the fact that he is the mind behind his company). This fragrance doesn't represent him to me. I wish all the best for him, and that his products only continue to improve in quality.

Jeremy is not the same, he use to talk to his Subscribers and well was a people person, He's not that any more :( when first subbed to him he had 25k-60ksubs not sure any more but yeah he use to talk. any who he should have asked other Frag heads and reviewers to help finalize his scents, he had those resources back then but he did not use them... I miss the fragrance community back then
I have tried all fragrances from fragrance one, i think he shouldn t have done date & unisex personally . Date is too much like office and i don't get oud.. when you say it contains real oud from Laos 🇱🇦 you should expect an animalic oud, if there is, it's only there for perfomance & not the scent profile... and the price..... price/value proposition is not there man, even black tie. Black tie is very special but almost unwearable, i keep having to go wash it off, it gets me dizzy because it s too abrasive .
