I bought my 1st. Sportsmen 1000 watt Inverter Generator about 8 years ago for $189.00. I don't use it a lot but it's always ready and raring to go ! I saw that they were On Sale at Tractor Supply a few months ago for $149.00... so I got myself another of these little Gems !
If it has a fuel shutoff. I always shut mine off and let the bowl run dry. Always starts up that way when it sits for awhile. Fuel will go bad in the carb in around a month if it sits
The carburetor on that generator does not have a float bowl. You can verify by noticing that the generator will shut down immediately when the fuel valve is closed.
