Ran mine for the first time today for about 5 hours, no load. Really excited about this thing. Ironically, the power went out this evening. But only for about 20 seconds. Just long enough for my wife to realize I truly am a walking, talking genius. 😂
Use a3 inch small windshield washer hose and push it on to the top of the spark plug then use it to finger start the spark plug. If it doesn’t go in easily then back it all the way out and try it again. Your chances of cross threading the plug is next to impossible. A thin film of nickel anti seize on the threads will help you the next time you change the plug. Be sure to keep the first couple of threads dry. This will prevent the anti seize from getting into the combustion chamber.
@@Suds649 I find that setting in place and then gently turn it in the "wrong" direction to feel the threads when the plug drops. That's when the threads are lined up. Then, carefully, turn it with my fingers to ensure I don't cross thread it. After it's fully seated, by hand, I then use a socket to fully set it.
Not me, I put a NGK in, oiled air filter, removed spark arrester, Installed a small, paper gas line filter between shut off and carb before ever starting my two 2020 model 3500's. Factory plug and spark arrester are zip tied inside unit if needed in the future. Great, reliable outfits if used as intended and not modified by people that don't know what they are doing. Don't make oiling air filter such a fuss. Simply place a few drops of oil on it and squeeze as B&S said in the 60's. The oil will migrate to all areas just fine. Good video.

you want to use traditional oil during the break in period to make sure the piston rings seat correctly. Synthetic is too slick and the engine wont break in properly. After a couple oil changes you can switch to synthetic.
@bansheerider619 I can oil every 25hrs till 100hr. Only standard 30w. Have over 3600hr on my 5000 HF . Had 1 with about same hours starter went out and slight oil burning no enough to add between oil change . HF ext. Warranty. Np
@ 5 or 10 it doesn’t matter. What’s important is that you use 30w. I’m using 10w30 non synthetic to break in the engine. After the break in period I will switch to 10w30 synthetic

I'm finally buying my first ever generator. Since i want to use a PC during an outage, i found out about these inverter types. This model is cheap enough and has great reviews. I read that it will run 18.2 hours under a 25% load on a full tank. "25% load" That's talking about 1/4 of it's total output? I have no math skills. How many hours will it run under a 100% load on a full tank? I'd just be guessing. Thanks to anyone who knows. Thanks
25% load is 975w (25% of 3900 running watts using gasoline). Another TH-camr did a gasoline and propane run test and got about the same for both fuels. He pulled about 1500w and got 12 hours on a tank of gasoline (~2gal) or about 12 hours on a 20lb propane tank.
The Predator 5000 is Recalled and out of stock. If anyone bought one, check out serial number and take it back if a bad unit. Many complaints that they shut off under substantial, but within specs, loads. Until they get this one correct, the Champion 4650 w/ dual fuel and remote start is the ticket. Just as quiet. No issues. If you really want a Predator 5000 they apparently will be restocking a 'fixed' unit Dec 21st.
Great video. Question as I'm not spark plug "knowledgable": Is the factory spark plug gapped smaller because it runs on propane, or does that make any difference given the less dense fuel? Thanks...just got one of these for our new NO-BO 20.3, so looking forward to getting it right the first time. GOD Bless

dont know why you think you need to oil the air filter , if dust can get through that foam you have a very bad filter , you dont need to oil the filter
lol yes you do need oil on the filter. Yes a dry filter will stop a lot of the dust particles but with oil on the filter for the dust to stick to does a lot better job
You should be putting filter oil on the air filter. Not motor oil. Filter oil will actually tac up and stop the dirt instead of motor oil being sucked into the intake because it never gets sticky...
That is absolutely not true. Engine oil works fine, I like many others have used it for years on foam filters it it does a fine job of stopping the dust, and if you are sucking the oil into the intake then you have put to much on it.
Today is August 27, 2024, bought mine on June 13, 2024 and it’s a piece of Junk! Ran good for the first month and then running the same load it would shut down because it was showing an overload. "Air Filter OIl " ? So where do ya find that Einstein? A few drops of oil on a foam type air filter has been done since at least the late 1950's by many engine manufacturers and it was always a few drops of the engine oil and squeeze out excess.
I must apologize as at 69 and working on engines all my life I never saw Air Filter oil in owners manuals or had anyone mention it. A simple Google search finds it. I just may look into it but only needing a few drops even a small botttle would last a lifetime.
What viscosity do you recommend for the air filter oil? I ONLY use Liquimoly, so I’m a real stickler for these things? Also, I noticed the date code on those tiny tires are a few years old.
