Guys if you are thinking about buying this bottle from them, DO NOT. They are having quality control issues with the tea infuser being screwed too tightly onto it where we can't unscrew it at all. If you try to unscrew it, you're risking the chances of bending their plastic cap or cheap metal infuser. I spent over an hour trying to unscrew it with no luck! I posted about their issue on their Facebook page and they blocked me! These guys can't take criticism for their defective product and even have it to where you can't post an HONEST rating on their official website. They are hiding all the bad feedbacks! Also do not pay extra specifically for package protection. They did not add any extra protection unless they talking about the air bag protecting the glass inside the box? That should already be a protection itself, why pay extra!
Nah dude, it's brutal lol. I have pretty strong hands and it's so stiff I'm worried it will bend a nail back! It moves easier after washing but I'll make a full review video soon so you can see. You should be getting yours soon, though!
I‘ve received mine aswell. They were sleeping a bit not to put a rubberised and texturized inlay into the cap of the „flat cap“ lid… however this is why kickstarters exist. To figure things like that out. Even if they seem obvious. Overall it‘s a decent product, however it doesn’t insulate too well because the glass insert could seal better with the plastic case.
Waited ages for this, after i got it looks like a cheap plastic bottle. And I was right, after 1-2 months of use the printed wording got smeared or peeled off. The black extension screws are not tight and easily get worned off and water starts to leak.The cap screws is more tighter then the extension screws like whenever i try to twist the cap screw the extension screw easily loosen up. Heck Im not even abusing the bottle, I took care of it and the screw is just easy to loosen up. Now I need to find a new freaking bottle. This is just another hype up scam product on Kickstarter.
Just got mine and like others, the lid was stuck. I managed to loosen mine by covering the lid strap notch with some soft cloth and giving it a few sharp taps with a hammer. The lid is clearly screwed on way too tight in the factory and just needs a few knocks to loosen it.
How is the quality? I've heard some report of some customers saying paint is peeling already after a short usage period. I'm on the fence and do they let you return it if its not up to standard? Given how much this thing costs I expect nothing less than 2-3 year warranty.
I'm not sure what paint could peel since the plastic is molded in solid color. I guess the lettering will eventually wear off? But that hasn't happened to mine.
Yeah, you removed that collar with no problem. Mine absolutely will not come off. It’s like it’s glued to the top cap. So pissed off to wait this long for something that doesn’t work.
Yea, I had the same problem. After watching this video, I just kept trying to unscrew the collar with as much grip strength as I could muster (while being careful not to break it). After several hours over the course of two days, I finally got the collar to unscrew. It was ridiculous (my hands hurt). I suspect somewhere in manufacturing or packaging process, the collar is screwed together in the assembly waaaaaaaay too hard. Keep trying. You can do it!
I tried hot water, heat gun, twisting all I could until my hands hurt. I had to loosen it with a hammer in the end, knocking the strap notch on the lid! Just make sure you cover it first with some cloth so you don't mark the plastic. Hope you managed to get yours off!
Nice, but a metal straw ?... even YETI dont make their straw from stainless steel. If you get a bump while holding that thing up to your face... absolutly no flex in it, unlike plastic.

People are saying that the flat cap is hard to open, but it seemed pretty easy for you haha. I can't wait for mine to arrive, its been SO long!

I got mine and can’t get the top off or the bottle broken down in to parts. Contacted them and no answer.
