in china, protest and freedom of speech is legal and always permitted by constitutional law, for protest, you just have to register with police beforehand, same as western countries, for critism of govertment, you can do that 24/7 at any time, go to weibo( chinese twitter) and go find yourself how many people are accusing govertment everyday, that famous writer Fang Fang, who is a famous anti Chinese government figure in china and she was reported thousand times by BBC and CNN, you go see her weibo account, she has 5 million followers and she critisize goverment everyday, if this were in USA, she would have been silenced by government long time ago and her weibo account would be shut , for protesting, averagely there are 302 thousands protesting taking place in china every year, according to voice of America, so if china does not allow protesting, how that number came from? it is total lie made by west to smear china, in china, you have every right to protest and speak , in jason's video, in hotel in GUIMING, there were people protesting, if that were in USA, there would have been hundreds of police there already,

I must say that after watching a few of your videos, you've altered my perception of how America's mockingbird media depicts China. I live in the USA NY Metro area and have worked in NYC and experienced the disgusting conditions of it's metro system and homeless conditions. I love America and strongly believe in its founders and the constitution. Somehow, over the years, it has been slowly degraded. Coming from the BabyBoomer generation, I'm truly saddened at what has become of America.

Well my girlfriend is from China, she loves the country but not the state,
everyone is escaping from CCCP because of the ignorance to the Human rights.
live with dignity but just basically safety.
We human are looking for changing. Lies can be the paints on wall, once the moist decayed inward, bricks will start to collapse.
always look up and finding out the brightness moral we born to own.
As a Chinese I can tell Chinese’s moral standards are so different from the democratic government due to the essences of our ruling is the loyalty to the government instead of the Laws itself. Therefore, Laws is rule by powerful people not the commonwealth, not the arch stone to develop.
The rapid growth in China is a gamble on grassroots future but none of us the normal can be winner. According to Teng Hsiao-Ping who is the paramount leader launching the Chinese Economic reform on 1989, He has a great foresee that he wanted to " Let some people get rich first". But the Truth is, China is in a dark Western Period just like American did. The only problem is, we are in the 2021 not frontier period. None of us can accept the unfair and unjustified events happening in my poor homeland.
Human is selfish and short-view, The Rich-First vested interest claim that they are on the wind because of the iron fist economic policy which is legally gained. However, we Chinese people all knew the dark side of the moon will never easily unfold.
Maybe everyone of you would impressed by the changing of China. Please, keep in mind that this government will never ever take care of any moral responsibility of you all took granted for.
      Dont Trust CCCP.

As someone who has lived in both China and the US for more than ten years, I can say that there is no such thing as absolute freedom, anywhere. Freedom is a relative term, and using the standard of freedom in one country to judge that of another is simply wrong. Societies are different in nature, just because China has >1B people, just because it has a different government system, and the government cares more about stability, does not mean that is has less freedom than America.

The difference in law & order between China and the U.S. now is really stark.
On a trip to California in the beginning of 2020, my companions and I noticed strange glass fragments in almost every carpark we went to.
On the last day of the trip, we finally realised what those fragments were from:
We parked the car we had rented outside San Francisco Botanical Gardens, and went for a walk in the gardens.
When we got back, we saw that the car's windows had been smashed and some of the belongings we had left in it were stolen (thankfully we still had our essentials like passports, wallets etc with us.)
Thinking back to the glass fragments we had seen earlier, we realised that this kind of smash-&-grab must have been a common occurrence there.
I had never seen such a situation anywhere else in the world (including China) that I've been to.
And I've been to more than one city (& countryside) in China.
A recurring thought I had after that night in San Francisco was: why the hell doesn't the local government do something about this ?!?!?!

"I'm starting to twitch!" Hilarious! If possible do a livestream on Opening Day. Try to be the first!
As for 'freedom' the best freedom to have is to 'feel and be safe'. Knowing that your family, wife, children are safe wherever they go reduces one's own worries. It opens the mind to think of other things and that is freedom... It makes a person more amiable within himself, toward one's neighbours and strangers and society at large. When the majority of people begin to feel that way the result is a peaceful and harmonious society...
This is what some western politicians want to destroy in China...

I have become accustomed to the "just go" life in China. I like to run outdoors late at night. I usually listen to music loudly with headphones and never worry about being behind me. I think I should not be able to adapt to living in a Western country. Fear and restrictions on going out will make me collapse.

@@balduccioliv 1989? i was 3 years old then ...I don't know much about China government of that time, but I will judge it through my own perspective and subjective experience. I live in a ex soviet country and Gorbachev's Perestroika kinda shaped my childhood, since 1990 the economy collapsed in all ex soviet countries, while west was celebrating honest people in these countries where strarving, living in fear because of extremely high rates of criminality, corrupt "democratic" officials (who later became billionaires) brought us a steady dégradation and colapse of infrastructure in less than 20 years. Believe me, the so called democratic revolution that we had in 1989 brought only misery to our country and a economical abyss! judging from my perspective and from what I've seen in China since after 2010 I can say that Chinese government did well for their people!
