I don't think she lied. I think it was reasonable to assume that supporting the characters in the new one could reboot the old one. The issue is- I guess it didn't work. The ones with the power to bring the original Teen Titans back are just refusing to do it for no real reason.(probably because the show was slightly skewed in favor of the female demographic 'who don't buy toys'... And because 95% of shows are made with the intention to sell toys... many superhero shows(Green lantern, young justice) get canceled if their female audience is larger than males.)
They aren't insulting the audience. They are insulting the fans that can't let it go about the old series. It got cancelled partially to the fans not giving it the love it deserved. Plus whether you like it or not, Teen Titans GO is actually enjoyable to watch 9 times out of 10 which was far from what could be said about Teen Titans. Teen Titans had great episodes but overall it wasn't a great series.
Me and my partner often take care of kids for our neighbors. In this example, two kids, both 8 years old, had no knowledge of Teen Titans, so I decided to do an experiment. I made the first kid watch a few episodes of Teen Titans with me. He loved the show, and days later he was still singing the intro song and reciting his favorite lines. I made the other kid watch a few episodes of Teen Titans Go with me. She hated everything about it, and days later remembered almost nothing, she even thought the show was a fever dream. Just goes to show that Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go have the same main characters and voice cast, but they are astronomically different shows.

i don't think i've ever seen a show with more confidence issues then TTGO despite channel fav it seems to be. the most air time, the high ratings and more then double the seasons the old show. the show radiates insecurity. it loves to lap shade how bad it is but also show its critics in negative light
Exactly. There was a time where the show only focused on its negative reception, all while giving the cold shoulder to their actual target audience. (Whatever it was at the time, since they keep changing who they try to market to.) They did a good job of making TTG seem more hated than it actually was, while at the same time giving more people reasons to dislike the show.

gonna be honest, after they watched TTG: Go to the Movies, I was actually gonna request they react to this because, while i do think the film is decent and definitely filled with meta jokes, there are definitely some choices that slowed the pacing of the movie for me, and that was mostly the middle (like the idea of Santa was a _bit_ funny but also a bit too unnecessary). but if you asked me to defend the movie in one aspect that I wouldn’t nitpick as much, it’s the opening theme with the mashup of the OG and GO theme songs. I’m willing to overlook that the animation in that sequence (after the voice actors credits) basically spoils like 90% of the movie, it’s just greatly orchestrated.
I mean Santa is actually a reoccurring TTG Antagonist so it's more like having a villain from one of the shows being there to have the Warlogog like (Insert OG Titan antagonist here)

tbh I will say the og was a lil.. depressing??? Not in the writing way, but with how things looked. They're very desaturated(?) and have a lot of muted colors in the original, not to mention the lack of citizens in the background. Arguably Teen Titans Go is a lot less depressing in terms of the city and stuff, they actually do a pretty damn good job at making it look lively and some place that's actually like California.

Don't get me wrong Teen Titans always had lackluster animation compared to contemporaneous super hero shows, so I think that makes it more embarrassing that the TTG Team can't even come close to measuring up to the original show's animation quality and the OG Titans look absolutely terrible both in still frames and in motion.
I mean the animation in TT wasn't that much better (In my opinion) It just looks much better because of the anime art style which is known and was built for more limited animation while TTG is in a style known for its more smoove animation. The OG Teen Titans still rock though

Yada yada yada the Scientists accidentally release Trigon using Raven’s brain, and Raven can’t beat him by herself, so she does the fusion dance with her clones to send him back in time, which ends up killing her sisters. Also, Raven gets adopted by a Christian family who don’t know she’s half demon.
I just hate how dirty Robin was done from TT to TTG. Dude used to be a giga-chad who had a cool and emotional plotline, he also pulled bitches, and then they just turned him into a mega simp who is just super annoying.

Yea robin kinda always gets possessed or manipulated I think its cuz he's close to batman(and has no real super powers). and lmao at robin's baby hands I will say thank teen titans go for introducing me to BER the Night Begins to Shine. Some of the music tracks in the earlier seasons were top notch.
