I like how you make this easily applicable; it's not like you just show us how it looks like, you show us how it's done.

I'm already used to punch a wall for practice, I need something body shaped or round soon before I break my wall. XD

Carlitos Martinez I'm not trying to break the wall, it's just the only thing I know for sure that it won't break

I love this conditioning drill, and I know exactly what he is talking about in regards to confidence. I had beginner students start doing this and they were terrified to even try it until they started easing into the drill. Thanks for sharing, there is a lot of insight and knowledge between the 3 of you. I enjoy your perspectives.

I love seeing various martial artists practice together! I can see their different chambers in their subconscious actions!

I related so much with that video because it's an exercise we used to do a lot while training and I remember getting back home with my arms with blue spots on it HAHA. Watching your videos gave me the motivation to get back on training man! I did tiger-style kung fu when was 13-15, sweet memories came to me and I'm definitely going back now!! Thanks a lot, bro!

We did this regularly in Shotokan. Eventually you learn to deflect (Not absorb the energy) If you don't; you're just bruising bone and the pain does not dissipate... but, your will to continue training does!

Here's what i remember from my wing chun training 20 years ago. this is called 'Gock ng sing' & when being performed correctly (not hating, just stating) the first move is Dai bohng sau..... like smashing two watch faces together. the second is Tan sau, each palm should be flat & facing upward. the third is Gahng sau.... low sweep/chop. the fourth is Jom sau.... high chop block. & the fifth is Woo sau..... chopping hand. atleast this is how i remember it, but i only achieved my first belt in chun lol. Thanks for the reminder guys.

We do this at my wing chun lessons and it is absolutely killer! 💪🏼☠️ loving the vids, great explanation and I like the different dynamic brought to these videos using a non Kung fu fighter.
Keep the wing chun Wednesdays coming, much love.

It's a great exercise!! One of my favorite!! It has a sequel too. After the garen sao you both make a bil sao, an inner jat sao and a lan sao. It's a little more complicated but its a good mental training.

Thank you for the lesson Phil! I've always wondered, what was the name of that final fantasy soundtrack you play at the end of some youtube videos, such as this one, I love it but can't find it D: - Thanks in advance!!

Yes of course. My background is Karate which consists of chops and palm heel kicks, but different from wing chun. I always stay active and I'm athletic by nature.

The arm bones hitting each other causes micro fractures that heal and give your bones more density. The human body is an awesome machine!

there are plenty of wing chun linages that do this, because it came from shaolin, but hung gar does this one especially, but you would probably get a simmiler effect from the dummy over time.

Jadita TV yes, and make you use to the feeling of a proper block. Small fractures in the bone heal up stronger then before.
