I recommend original and remastered (Definitive Edition) versions of "Engage the Enemy" to showcase the difference between the two versions of the soundtrack.
Xenoblade area themes are all so interesting and unique. Some other ones I would recomend are: Mechonis field, Satorl Marsh (Night), Tantal (Day and Night), and Mor Ardain.
Gaur Plain is a Xenoblade classic. It has a different feel, but Black Mountains - Prison Island (Night) is my favorite area theme of any game. The Great Sea Stirs and Mechonis Field are great too. The Great Sea Stirs is the most similar to Gaur Plain, but still different.
Gaur Plain is one of the songs that got remastered on the Nintendo Switch remake release of Xenoblade Chronicles (called Xenoblade Chronicles Defiitive Edition), you can also check that one out to see the difference. The remastered versions sound more real and less MIDI-ish. In Europe the fans got a collectors Edition which features a stamped vinyl with some of the remastered songs for the game, I managed to get one myself. The whole XC series (XC DE, XC Future Connected, XC2, XC2 Torna, XC3 and XC3 Future Redeemed) have stunning music, with XC3 music being nominated for the game soundtrack of the year in 2022 (yes, I still think God Of War stole it)
There's a distinct lack of Xenoblade X recommendations in here. Uncontrollable is a real wild one. Unfortunately most of the tracks from it are unpronouncible names.
I love hearing more Xenoblade music! Thanks for taking the time on these. I’ll second all the themes that parkervaness420 suggested and throw in one boss fight: The Power of Jin from XC2. You also might want to look at Theme X from XCX. Stylistically, it’s totally different, but very cool.
Three best memories of this game are all based around the music. The first time I heard "A friend on my mind", the first time night fell in satorl marsh, and the first time i entered gaur plain.

Yes, I like the definitive edition versions, sound a little better
I prefer the original mixes, the definive version sometimes are way over kill that it loses a bit harmony
I recommend"Four Limbed titan Gormott" from Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna the Golden Country

It definitely stole it

Day 6 of asking Rob to react to the song Battle of Award 42 from the game A Hat In Time

I love Gaur Plain. I'm not sure why they lowered the bass/drum volume in the remastered version but both are absolutely beautiful.
I suggest Future Awaits from the XC3 DLC Future redeemed,
