Can I help Phil? I have done various BMW ramair systems last years and sold my designs to about 50 countries and 45 states. I think there is very easy way to make the flow way better through the now closed ”grated" front lights surrounding trim piece, with it staying looking exactly the same but airflow getting massively better. If interested please let me know. Greetings from Finland.
Thanks man. This fixed the problem. It''s a pretty decent enclosed filter. I've got a plan to pull more air from the brake vent hole below, and actually have had an even bigger plan ever since I bought this car to build a modern DTM style central filter that sits above a leant back radiator. But for once I'm listening to the voice in my head that says 'it ain't broke, don't fix it' 😂
Hello Phil. I've watched your videos for years. My son and I were at Goodwood Retro Rides. It was amazing to watch (and hear) the car go round the track. It made the hairs on the back on my neck stand up. Was going to come and say hello, but thought you'd probably be up to your neck with random well-wishers, so didn't bother. Great car - well done.
That First Right is a 3rd or 4th Gear Corner,I Was at Revival in the Wet Jags and AC Cobras Were Spinning up after that Corner in Every Gear !!!All the Ex Touring Car Drivers ,They Were Nuts.
*Some of my best memories of my E30 M3 race car were at Goodwood. I only had 240+ bhp (the car itself was pretty light) but it was great fun all the same. Love this car though.*
I don't understand anything. But I know that 15+ years ago my English teacher told me that British English is a big deal. Like for the blue E30 drifting on a track. All the best. Cheers.
This is my fav car in your collection Phil, not only is it a stunning build but please never loose the 🔥🔥🔥🔥 , it just makes it even more of a weapon ! 👍🏽😎
When i heard it was lining up for afternoon session i swiftly pegged it to the standing platform above the pit straight and it looked and sounded fucking mental. it had Adam West era Batmobile sized flames coming out the back down the straight, then somebody said a marshal had extinguished the fire. thought maybe they weren't in the know about this E30's panchance for flamethrowing but seeing it now, can see they did the right thing! Love this track so much, was on the reserve list this year, so wasn't lucky to get on, but open pit track days are quite reasonable. Would like to see your M3 around thruxton sometime, that's scary fast!
I think the Flame tune is just fine, just need some longer Tail pipes🔥🔥😎 The car sounds amd looks incredible with Straight cut Gearbox with the Soulful V8 screaming. Love this Car😊
Guessing there was nothing documented from the Bicester event? Was great convoying over with you guys, I was in one of the blue S15s! By far the coolest convoy I've ever been in 😁
Don't even really need to, there's quite a few already on the market for the E30, there's even clear frosted headlight intake horns available so you can put LEDs around it to make it appear like you still have a headlight(same with clear "angel eye" ones), or, just high polished aluminum with the inside opening the same size as the main projector, that way at a glance, it literally looks like you have 4 lights still (obviously without one functioning). They also have ones where they'll have the typical intake horn, but in place of the headlight, is a circular piece of grille bars to make it look "phantom"(IMO, only good looking if you're running single separate headlights, not 2 + 1)....or if course, he could run a phantom grille completely and nobody would know he had on intake (definitely don't think he wants to do that) or could even mill/Dremel out the plastic itself between the stock grille bars around the headlights as they are in the center of the grille. Definitely one of if not thee easiest car for headlight intakes known to man 😅
Phil nneeds to lose a pound or two - its the easiest way to improve the power to weight ratio of a laden vehicle which in turn will make him go faster.

My god what a machine and what a piece of engineering! Just keeps getting better.
Cheers 🙏
I really need to get the dates of some of these events, really want to hear the sound of the M3 in person!

Hi Mark, glad you enjoyed seeing it. I'm just happy it made a couple of laps before setting on fire :D
@@driftworks Cheers Phil. The flames are part of the experience of the car, for me. I suppose the challenge is managing them so they're safe (ish).
Thanks for being so polite and stopping to chat Phil! Keep up the good work!

So good to see this car at speed on track again! That colour couldn't be any better 👌
Caught me at 14:30 there, hope the damage wasn't too bad to the bumper though.
Epic car though, and good to have chatted to you in person .
my oh my what a machine, absolutely love it
Good to meet you at Bicester Phil, sorry again for interrupting you in the catering queue!

Always love a good on track video from your selfs guys 👌
I enjoyed every second of that, considering you had no idea where you were going that was some pretty impressive driving.
Thanks man. Glad you enjoyed 👍
What a great video & what a lap 👏🏼
The car is smoking! Straight fire!
I'll see myself out please and thank you. 😅

It sound soo sweet [and run pretty well too!]
Lovely❤
Sorry if I held you up at one point 😂 car sounds sick flying past the back straight 👌

Came for the flames, saw the flames, left...

Love the Charlie Murphy reference 😂 👍🏻👍🏻
Not many people would have got that. Fairplay 😂

👋. The static events don't make good videos unfortunately. Great event though.
Looked great going round , how /why the flames?
Great video and great car
Thanks! 👍
The best e30 put there👏👏👏
This is pretty cool
What was that KP61 Starlet?
I wonder if thats Kevinfromdevon ? TH-cam channel.
Could you 3d print a headlight mount that's an intake around the light?

Just such a sexy car
Great stuff, was it Al Clark behind the camera? Oh and the M3 is incredible btw.
Cheers, yes it was.
I fkn love this car
What song did you use for the show off shots? It's so cool!
What rims are under this beast? Great fit❤
They are Work Wheels. Specifically MCO Racing, which they have unfortunately discontinued.
Nice Casio Jay

@@PatrickSwayzeOnDbolI was about to reply the same
You look like Jason Bourne without a hat and sunglasses on 😂
lol, that's a bizzarely common thing people have said to me for the past 20 years 😂
@@driftworks I personally think, you look like Suggs from madness 😉
Middle aged Jason Bourne 😘
Suggs is also a common thing. The last one is Griff Tannen from Back to the Future II 😂
@@driftworks LOL , yes !!!!
First 😂😂 love the way it chucks so many flames 🔥 out considering it’s a near on standard engine.
Dab of oppo 😎
That gearbox noise! Nnnnnnnngggg
V10 E46 M3!!!!! GIVE US!!!!
Could you not just swap out the FD in the diff and pull all the gears down?
You could but the drop gears are easier.
Ok that was a Volvo 940 mildly dressed as Ecto1?!?!
off topic, been watching for years. any chance my dream comes true of you building a FD? too small for you perhaps?
Hi, I love FD's. I've thought about buying one for many years, but I don't want one for anything in particular so could never justify it.
@@driftworks fair enough, thanks for the content all this time, really enjoy it
Put some long pukka DTM pipes on there.

Don't show us inside, show us that Stratos.
Bloody Bots everywhere!
Meh those bumpers are dirt cheap and easy to find anyway 👀🤣
tuning with Lambda is far superior to AFR and really not that hard to understand... even the Americans are using the new method.
Its the same...😂 is just like to say 1inch or 2,54cm or 25,4mm...etc
take the headlight out and stop playing
