Everyone wants a chrome lined barrel for there fantasy SHTF apocalypse rifle for when they get through years of fire fights in their rifle. They don’t want to need to do a barrel change
There are lots of gun enthusiasts out there that dream of having a HK much less a HK416 civi version. Many see themselves making their way through swamps, oceans, snow, and heavy enemy fire!!! They have been marketed chrome not even fully understanding why or how chrome applies to them much less the metallurgy of barrels. These “operators” from their couches, basements, and heaven only knows what other dwellings often don’t even think to realize that the 2 most important things on their AR are the trigger and the barrel. They should seek a trigger that won’t fall apart and meets their preference of feel for intended use. They also should be concerned with a barrel that provides accuracy and longevity. In all my years of using HK firearms I have never had to worry about my firearms reliably, accuracy, quality, or ability to be fixed should an issue arise with a lifetime warranty from a tier 1 manufacturer. I like other manufacturers as well but my name is Derek and I’m a HKaholic
Nope, I like chrome because it easier to clean & it’s more clone correct. there’s no way I’d spend anywhere close to 4K on one of these unless it was. A 1 for 1 416 clone
@@benjaminblackwood6486 I’m honestly curious as to why they should call it the MR416A4 as well as what benefit you perceive in the “exact” same barrel??? People say things and I never hear the reason behind the comments. For example, will a name change help you shoot better? Does a 416 barrel improve the commercial market consumer’s performance????? About the only gripe besides price I can really commiserate with is the semi carrier and auto bolt block as these make great uppers on registered MGs! I’ve shot the MR556 in hard competition use since its original release in approx 2010 and have had 0 malfunctions, won over 100 matches and many top 3’s, and have always experienced unparalleled accuracy even when comparing to my 416 uppers much less other top brands. I’m just looking for some real evidence behind your comment, thanks
@in a nutshell, it’s nice to have the closest possible commercial version of the MIL/LE gun. The SCAR 20S, SR25 and SP5 are good examples. They’re just proven. But for all I know if it were up to HK they would supply the military with non-chrome lined barrels because they believe they’re superior to chrome lined.
Replacement barrels sound great until you go to RMA and you’re without the gun for 3-5 months. OR (big emphasis on the or) you could put a CHF barrel in the 11” and shoot 1.5 MOA groups for 30k rounds. This shit isn’t a precision rifle.. that’s like DD putting an unlined barrel in the mk18 lol. 12k barrel life is sufficient for the average person but for people who shoot a lot (20k on both my sr15 and mk18) it can be an actual problem. If the gun was $1500 I’d say it is what it is, but $4000? LOL.
Only available in black? I've been looking to add another HK in the family and the AR is the one variant I don't see often nor have. Curious to see what options this comes in! Appreciate the upload and will watch the ones to come.
Best AR on the planet, next to the LMT R20 RAHE Estonia Reference Rifle. Although, I do think HK needs to go with a slimmer hand guard. That thing is gargantuan! 😂
The 556 priced at lmt .308 prices, or nearly two colt m7 rifles in .308. Previous comment was deleted by the algorithm, making me even more skeptical of this rifle. A colt advanced piston 6940p would be good competition.
To all those it isn’t chrome lined haters. I have an OG MR556A1 upper with zero malfunctions 15k rounds in and literally it still shoots sub moa. HK barrels are more bases than you’ll ever been. Gun gets hated on the internet. Never had any haters of it IRL at any ranges. Grow up.
PSA provides an excellent value product for the masses and is a tremendous sponsor of the shooting sports....thank god for companies like PSA....we all win, cheers
For $2,200 you can have the P.O.F. 415 EDGE piston driven rifle , and guess what it comes in either black or F.D.E. God forbid the people at H&K ever think of that. As the owner of the previous MR556 and the P.O.F. I find H&K frankly annoying, all the latest upgrades the MR556 A4 now comes with should of been on the previous version, they had plenty of years to do this. The lack of the F.D.E. finish and RAL8000 parts is just ridiculous and for some unknown reason it seems deliberate. H&K knows to well that the civilian market craves the RAL 8000 set up G28 look, some go to great lengths to mimic this. So why oh why does H&K not see and listen to customers. And I'm a H&K fan boy.
And don’t forget for $400 you can have a tan Aero rifle! I’m a fan of desert korps ral8000 as well as well as some of the recent HK color schemes in Germany. Hopefully we won’t be dead or decrepit before we see more options
I can admire this gun without spending 4k on it...and im someone who doesnt mind spending big money when it warrants the price, but for that money id get something else
I was thinking the same way BUT unlimited barrel replacements for free in my opinion is WAY better than a less accurate barrel that’ll have a ~2000 round longer life span. I don’t know of any manufacturer out there that says “we’re not willing to compromise the quality of our product by outsourcing so every 10,000 rounds send your gun in and we’ll put a new $750 barrel in it free of charge”
That thing is perfect.
Great rifles

❤HK logos are straight up 💪🏽 flex on the poors…i love ❤️ em
Great looking rifle!!! I hope they swapped the 7.62 magazines to more industry standard instead of proprietary....
the MR762 still uses the HK proprietary magazine and I personally love them!
Imagine of they put a big ass HK on side of a SP5.
In pink would be nice
I want one. But they should have called it MR416A4 and given us the exact same barrel

I would really like to know if the hand guards are interchangeable with 416 style quads

Ive heard of no other color plans at this time
RAL8000 would be nice
A3 whas way to heavy , how much is the weight of the A4 , 16.5 barrel ?
I address this in the next video

New hand guard is not gargantuan
@ Compared to the hand guard on the LMT and other modern rifles, yes, it is.
Any insight on the 11" making it to market? All I see is "coming soon" or out of stock.
Some are out there already
$4k is steep my guy! Can’t justify upgraded from the original MR556.

Yes, 11” pistol or this 16.5” version

If you base you purchase decisions on TH-cam algorithm censorship then I can’t provide much help to you! Good luck!
Where can I buy one?
Where will this be available at?
Interested to know where too

No it does not

NO
No sights, 4k. Cmon HK. I miss the original HK sights from 416s.
