We need to remember that he is out of the elements and has the sleeping bag to help preserve body temp. Sure, this could be a cold night, but one you could survive the night through. Dima, these videos are relaxing, and bring back memories of my younger days enjoying the great outdoors. Thank you Brother.
I haven't thought of bread rappers around your feet in Boots for some 50 years. Up north where I grew up we didn't have a lot of name brand stuff, but my mom made sure we were warm. Thanks for reminding me about the bread rappers. They sure did work. Now I live in Florida, but still home sick for my childhood home in New England.
We lived in Michigan when I was a youngster. Mynmom did the same thing with us. Bread wrappers helped hold in the heat and kept us very dry. Been long ago..
Negative comments need not be said most of you could not do what this man did I love watching him no doubt this man can survive if you put him in the middle of nowhere what a skill
So what. Most people could not even change their own tire. The point these people are making is that this shelter is just stupid. We all know he is just doing this for clicks. Let him make a shelter and survive 40 below without 3000 feet of plastic and a wood stove and then maybe we would be impressed. As it stands he basically made a tent and heated it with a store bought stove, and this impressed you to the point that your defending this garbage? Wtf?
@@brettbarce8563 Lol - Well my 'Mom' died 20 years ago. As to the skill level needed for this BS shelter, my 10 year old could do a better job ya jackass.
Maybe you have not done this before. Thanks for sharing your unique experience. No matter that others have experienced this. THIS IS YOIR TIME AND OURS. THANK YOU.
Fortunately for our main character, here, he doesn't have any wind to contend with. Adding wind-chill factor to this scenario makes the situation even more dangerous!
The Mr Rogers piano works well. The little stoves work well, but you gotta have a good sleeping bag or else you'll be having to feed it all night long. You just can't get big enough pieces of wood.
Kudos to you man. Adjectives do not exist to describe how much I would loathe every single second of that LOL. And before anyone says anything, I have lived in Quebec City, Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg and Calgary. I have spent many mornings waiting for a school bus at -40C (or Fahrenheit for that matter because at -40 they are equal).
In real survival situations, sleep is elusive...with most of the night tending to the fire, whether a stove or a camp fire. So you stay awake at night keeping warm and the boogeymen at bay, then sleep most of the day when survival is a bit easier. Homeless people living on the street do much the same. Survival is survival, no matter where or when.
That Rosie red stove pipe was almost to the melting point. How that tarp didn't go up in flames is beyond my. Be careful people. I wouldn't recommend this.
Were you able to get a temperature reading inside the encloser? Was wondering how warm, or cold, it was inside. Either way, I like your video and think it was interesting to see how you built it and use your stove too... Thumbs Up!
Ok... Something unique in this video. 26 minutes until the moment with the steak. This the only difference from the other thousands with EXACTLY the same topic.
Even with the right sleeping bag it wouldn't matter with that pad. Some emergency blankets would've been more useful with such a small stove. And the shrink wrap just looks like a freshness meat pack for any bear that may be up and about. It still looked like fun making the shelter and camping out.
I'm sure 60% of this video should be about what not to do, and 40%, you can pick out what you want. You certainly wouldn't catch me using a use once only, packing stretch wrap instead of a tarp. -40°C? I think not!
Useless when it's -40 and it's all you have I don't think you'll be saying it's useless then.also what do you want to do strap a hundred pound stove on your back you can not me
this one u can name it as a well prepared camping trip not a survival cus u have every thing in handy nd yur mini stove are brand new but by the way I did enjoy watching yur video have fun then 😶😶😶
Yeah I winter camp regularly. I keep a utility tarp in the bottom of my pack. Could have put three 10x 14 Harbor Freight tarps folded up would have taken up less room than two rolls of stretch wrap and been a hell of a lot lighter and a whole lot warmer

The saran wrap makes for a good story catch to this outdoor freezing adventure. I like it. Saran wrap!!! Who would have thought. Very enjoyable.❤
Beautiful simplicity. No extraneous verbalizations. Man against nature. Primeval, yet essential. Thank you.
When we were kids we put our feet into bread wrap then into boots to keep our feet warmer in winter and we stayed outside longer too
We used bread sacks too. Wore them inside our boots to keep our feet dry.
Same here😊
Haha thought I was the only one that use to do that, but yup it helped to keep the feet dry.

Yep. I love it. In situations like this you get to know "yourself."

There are a lot of places where you can do this a dozen feet of a logging road and have access to your vehicle if things go sour
I'll never understand packing stretch wrap into the woods, when one 10 x 14 harbor freight tarp would work better and could be re-used
Agree what a script😜
Shut up
True. But maybe just did it to try it. I don't know that though. Just a thought. 🤷👍

The down side of the shrink wrap is you have carry that out as trash when you’re done. Just get a lightweight hot tent, and use it over and over.

Great job of constructing that shelter in the freezing temperatures. When it comes to camping and survival in the woods he is the man.
Thank you Dima! I am there to share the experience. I can almost feel the cold..
I admire your skills of survival.
Muito legal seu acampamento amigo, ainda mais com esse inverno rigoroso que o hemisfério norte enfrenta. Felicitações . .
Dimas gets me hungry never fails his cooking looks so good well I guess tasty
What do you do with all that polythene (or whatever it’s called) when you finish?
🥶 That is too cold for me, but the snow is very beautiful.
Interesting survival concept. Well done!
That's a lot of snow!!!

Original. I enjoyed your video.
It was freezing, you went out and filmed this. It must have been tough on batteries, not to mention your body. Great Vlog. Warm Wishes.
Absolutely beyond belief! Excellent shelter! Bravo sir!!
That Rosie red stove pipe was almost to the melting point. How that tarp didn't go up in flames is beyond my. Be careful people. I wouldn't recommend this.
Reflective mylar (foiled) of aluminized plastic would be better choice -- so ya don't lose the radiant heat.
Has someone been watching dual survival 😅
My man went out in -40 with some crap from the pantry and managed to rustle up a steak and shelter. Sophisticated? No. An interesting challenge? Yes.
Yep, looks soooooo much simpler than a tent!
feliz camping desde Kentucky EE.UU.

Шикарное видео. Респект тебе бро.
Indoor Alcohhol fireplaces have a long burn time, all stainless steel
You know it's cold when you walk around and it sounds like you're walking around on styrofoam.
at the end you left out waking up every hour to tend the stove 😄
Ok... Something unique in this video. 26 minutes until the moment with the steak.

What kind of stove is that? Looking for one and that looks like a good one.
Awesome vlog ❤❤👌👌👏👏
Abrupt ending… did you give up and Got Home? Caus that was Way to cold!😮

An open flame in a plastic shelter?

I understand that such a solution can save your live in strong freezing but that stretch foil in the woods makes me icky.
Me dio gusto volverlo a encontrar 😅
Very intriguing…want to see more, so l subscribed
Where is he at?What Country?
Atleast in this deep forest plastic should be avoided.
Those mini camping stoves are useless. You are up all night stoking them every 20 minutes otherwise you freeze in the dark.
👏👏👏
Useless when it's -40 and it's all you have I don't think you'll be saying it's useless then.also what do you want to do strap a hundred pound stove on your back you can not me
That why I pay someone to that all night while I sleep
No nonsense get it hot and add bigger wood it will work .
Yall don’t know how to use them stoves! Learn the equipment before trying it for survival first time!
How many days was this filmed over?
Наша десантура объявилась😂

Great to watch and understand, but geez you need a electric saw 🪚 😊
But wouldn't condensation build up terribly in there. You'd wake up to an inside rain atorm
Back must be in bits in the morning.

Perhaps you meant plastic shelter…
Papier aluminium...à l intérieur..
So basically you people commenting can’t differentiate between fun and actual survival. This was a fun experiment. Try not to be weird!
Yep. Guess which types will pull through? In an extreme situation? Respect to him.
Helal olsun kardeşim
I don't think it's -40° out there, not even close.
I think there is a mistake. He want to write - 4*. There is one zero much in the title
Remember, they read Temps in Celsius, not Fahrenheit
Ah, the ancient survival question of: what if I had a roll of shrink wrap with me??
should have done the roof first with the plastic wrap to prevent it from leaking in case of rain
It is actually “should HAVE done”.
Won't he freeze to death going outside to take a pee or crap?
@it1988a,
Why...go outside ?
Warmer inside, cover with snow, freezes, no smell.
Think inside the box. ☆
I believe that one scene u put ur snow shoes on the wrong feet
hard to work in that cold

Are you crazy dude! If a bear or wolf came there, what could you do? Although you're brave man, congratulations!

Learn about nature / animals in Winter, you'll answer your own question.
"...bear or wolf..." lol. ☆
Bears ok,what about wolves my clever friend?
@@serhatun2005wolves avoid humans
No faking that cold crunching snow.
Not enough support for the roof
This isn’t bushcraft, you could make this shelter in a grocery store aisle. Also, can’t see pioneers 200 years ago carrying Saran Wrap.
If I was going to use plastic I would look at nylon string reinforced visqueen.
👍👍👍👍🎉🎉🎉❤️❤️
I don’t get it, takes a snow shovel, sleigh, a big duffle bag, glad wrap and firebox but no tent. 🇦🇺👍🍺
O air control on the stove
I can’t imagine what you have to go through just to pee in the middle of the night. Much less twice.
Tiger? Bear? Wolf?
Bear hibernate, wolf stays away from people, tiger not sure they are in his country
Why
I’m tired and I didn’t do anything!
Short term maybe.
Está muy mal,es super peligroso hacer eso con esas temperaturas
Had a tarp for a roof. Just bring a bigger tarp. Plastic is just not believable or necessary
but dimas is fast survival he can live in a cave he don't care
It's a crematorium! The northern lights have seen strange sights but the queerest they ever did see was that time I cremated Ssm McGee!
