- I recently made a batch of Ginger Bug fermented Ginger Beer. There is always some sediment in the bottom of ginger bug sodas, but this batch had more in the bottom than any previous batch I have made. So I thought it a good opportunity to talk about that layer of sludgy looking stuff in the bottom of the bottle when you make ginger bug fermented sodas.
Looks great Rach! I had a couple of bottles pop their tops at our old house, and the kitchen roof had a couple of dents in it lol. Keep cool over the next few days, it's gonna be a scorcher!! xx Cathi xx
Oops! I got lucky for such a long time... then a few months ago, one popped a lid in the fridge!
Thank you for this video. I was worried I’d have to throw my batch away. So glad I can still drink it. 😊
That is great to hear this has helped you Heather and you didn't throw it away 😀
My husband always used to make ginger beer but hasn't in the last 10 years.
Hopefully, this video is helpful if you are keen to give it a go to enjoy again.
Finding that cap must have been like trying to find a needle in a hay stack LOL. That drink looked so refreshing.
Hehe!! It was a real game of hide and seek! 😂
Hi love
I'm not good with computers, I did leave a message somewhere🤣
so I will do it again.
thiis has nothing to do with your soda, so please forgive me.
my question , where can I buy that double strength vinegar I think it's called Fehlbergs it's for canning.
I just did not know how to contact you hence butting in here 😅
I live in Queensland. kind regards Lynda.
All good. It was on the post I did about us going away 😀
We actually have a vid specifically on vinegars on our channel that may prove helpful. And you can now even get double strength in Woolies homebrand. Hope this helps 😀
Thank you so much for that my love,
have a wonderful day.
Great video.
Thanks for sharing the sediment trick.
My last batch at the last house did that. I actually had to go looking for all three of my lids. I had 3 flavours and wanted to taste them all. So I got them all out and opened them all they were all very fizzy lol😂
3 lids! Ouch! I had trouble finding just that one!!! 🤣
Thanks you are doing great job
That is lovely of you to say 😀
Hopefully this was the explanation for what you saw in your bottle.
@@Bush_Edge_Homesteading_Aus Yes , I have one question can we make apple cider vinegar in steel container/ jar
@IRPC2013 apple cider vinegar is something I haven't done a huge amount of personally. But I have seen glass recommended and that is what I am using. I don't have any experience with metal.
@@Bush_Edge_Homesteading_Aus For 5 liter apple cider vinegar how much apple quantity should be ?
@IRPC2013 as mentioned, we haven't really done a lot of apple cider. So really do not have answers I would be confident to give.
