You know there’s gonna be some clause in this at some point: “if you make something really cool with AI tool that we think will sell, EA can take it completely and make it our own”.
First of all , human beings will always have to do the final design, like buying a brand new home, the new owner adds the personal touches, in theory it should help studios make games faster cheaper and with fewer people, but the most important thing , any AI program will always be as good as the people making it and having the talent and resources to make it happen. , it is the reason we don't have windows os, Mac os and Linux os competitors or iOS and Android smartphone os competitor . one last thing going full AI will be very difficult to avoid copyright violations. I see AI as a tool not a replacement like using power tools to build a home like using a nail gun instead of using a hammer to nail every single nail.

something like "Ready Player One" movie idea. Hmm. maybee, but its stretch for aleast a decade or more. The Gaming complex would need a middle man I.e social space like the movie to tie-in the complex. Then gamers using Said AI to create their worlds based on the games they would already have paided n played n concured from outside developers to trade right there. Then gamers also could enter into new creations by gamers to play from right there , but if you die you lose everything and someone else takes the loot. The Gaming Complex could profit from the trades as well. Enter in sponsored Gamers . Side note: imagine battling with weapons from different games. Trades would be hot.
Imagine companies being so money pinching and not allowing or wanting to let the devs to make the game the people want. That they are just gonna give us ai and say make the game yourself. Like ?
If EA was to pull this off (they won't but) the load time is gonna take 30 minutes to an hour to render and there's no chance the co-op/online play works.

"AI" is just the latest grift by the tech bros who need to keep making the line go up. None of what they showed is AI and none of this is going to work.
you know they'll do stuff like "whatever you create with the AI is a possession of their company" a bit like what Blizzard tried with Warcraft 3 reforged in-game mods.
Basically what they are showing is an AI that takes advantage of procedural content generation (check PCG in Unreal Engine 5.4 for example, Sidefx Houdini has it also and maybe many in house game engines) and assets already created (the carboard box, the characters already rigged animated, the game mechanics scripts, basically everything that is in a game) and then the AI just shuffles them around making random stuff from what it has at it's disposal, it's not new it's just more easy to generate, but you still have to put in the work to create all the assets, the AI wont do that for you. It's all smoke and mirrors, trying to sell stuff to people who don't have a clue how everything works behind the scenes and what it takes to make a game and everyone is: "Wooooow, that is so out of the box! AI is going to break the game industry and bla bla bla. What is going to break the game industry are games like Black Myth Wukong and new interactions and new game mechanics and especially good games, not trash like Concord or Star Wars Outlaws. Stop devouring every piece of crap these "snake oil" salesman are putting on the market. Peace out!
That cardboard game was the most empty soulless thing I’ve seen ever. Even the dialogue was bland and ass. EA slowly becoming “Entertaining Artificial intelligence”

Its not even an actual AI , its a pre-made video thats not even using AI, just visualizing what EA *wants it to do someday.*
What would be awesome would if the *video game publisher* focused on, and just hear me out for a second, *making good videogames.*
They want the input to be able to generate more affective advertising. Consumer data is extremely valuable.
AI is a great tool to support your creative work, but will never reach the level of true creativity
AI kills jobs, nice try tho buddy
Probably but you can now augment 1 very creative person who can now do the job of a 200 person dev team.
@joeramsay6269 its naiive and childish to think tech advance wont advance bc it makes some ppl sad. Old jobs will be replaced by new jobs that will support new tech.
Taxi drivers shouted about uber. We still use uber.
Factory workers shouted about factory robotics, we're still using factory robotics.
Mail workers shouted about email technology, we still switched to digital messaging
Tech advancement is tech advancement, its supposed to happen
@@joeramsay6269 if your job can be automated then it will inevitable be replaced we use to dial operators for phone calls.
@@4newestaccoun Nah, it’s dumber to thinks this sort of technology is actually worth advancing. First of all is the same type of snake oil as NFTs. Second, their ethics are ass when it comes to “creating original content” aka plagiarism and impersonation.
I love that instead of paying artists the true inovation is having test monkeys smash ea properties together😢😢
Knocks companies for not making interactive AI characters, after demoing a non interactive canned AI game generator...
The expectations for the next battlefield are so low it might as well be dead on arrival.
They want to create the 1st Matrix and the Oasis, and then ads all over the place.
Roblox already does the user generated content thing . Really really well
We are walking closer and closer to the reality of Ready Player One.
This is just them trying to use AI to gain the benefits of a modding community while still profiting
This whole concept has no soul. I gaurantee you EA would make this subscription based since you will have to connect to their network to access AI, not much more than a digital key will be stored locally.
There's a pretty cool Skyrim mod where you can talk to your companion through the mic and she will respond ingame. From asking lore, to things to do in the area, asking her to sell things in town, it was pretty impressive to see it work in an existing game that you can download and try out right now. it was made by a modder combining several free AI services and making a local install with a script to make them interact and release the total package as a mod
Cross trying to understand AI is like a dog watching TV.
Never knew dogs understand tv
I'd rather have a human create my hardly working £70 slop than a robot
This program is going to turn into corn very fast like the first day it comes out
Completely depending on A.I. to make the game is As Lazy As Could Be. No Soul...
People said the same thing about artists who started to use all the electronic art programs that came about on computers and tablets. Yet now those same programs are standard use at art and animation studios around the world. AI is just another tool for artists to use and those who choose to not will fall behind. It's the wheel of progress that can't be stopped.
@@iownall2222 no they are not lmao. not a single professional artist dares to use ai generated content for anything close to professional work
@@adrianfr05 What you consider a professional artist isn't what they're talking about. If you know any graphic designers or artists working full-time for companies, you'd already know how prevalent it is to use generative AI to assist in the workflow. They use it to create and extend backgrounds, tweak environments, and many other things.
Of course, they manually tweak things because it's a whole process, but they absolutely use it for professional work.
@@adrianfr05 again. People said the SAME shit about all those art programs that are now standard practice around the world. So like I said, it's just another tool for artists to use. And those who don't learn it, will be replaced by those who do. The same way artists who learned how to use those art and animation programs replaced those who didn't and who used the argument you are.
@@iownall2222 flat out wrong here.
As far as the A.I thing adding depth, played modded Skyrim where A.I took over NPC conversations literally sat down and had a full conversation with some random NPC in a tavern about his life and what brought him to solitude conversation lasted about 45 mins it was pretty nuts
Id bet anything that the "ai generated" level that was "demoed" was 100% not generated by ai and some poor schmuck on one of the environment teams had to put aside actual work on whatever game the team was working on to crank out this crappy bit for an investor meeting.
I'm playing through FFVII:Re right now, and one thing that stands apart from the OG is how clearly multiple different groups worked on VII:Re compared to the singular vision of the original. FFVII:OG had a team of 150 people, FFVII:Re had a team of 2,500, it's impossible not to feel that.
After they ruined dead space series I gave up on ea
The remaster was fantastic. Then they forgot about it...
@@GathClipsCause it didn’t sell well. Shame cause I wanted the next two games to be remade into more horror games.
I’m sure the poor sales were a combination of both having been so long since Dead Space 3 people didn’t care anymore and the reception to Dead Space 3 still left a sour taste.
@route77productions those first 2 games were soo cool.
@@route77productionsa dead space 2 remake was my #1 wish list game ever hahah
@@GathClips yes it was AMAZING but they cut dead space 2 remake off the best dead space 😭and dead space 4 canceled could’ve been so good
I don't have a problem with developers using AI as a tool to decrease development times but not completely make a game using only AI.
The E3 game chat lives on
Sings in "Old McDonalds Farm":
EA-AI-O!
God i hope this isnt the basis of the new battlefield. Gun Models look updated for it too
The Z-mech is hilarious to see
Please review that "accidental discovery" of yours, I can not imagine what AI could possibly bring to the table for...that purpose.
No one is going to use this schlock, holy hell dude. How can they be this detached from reality, EA has lost their god damned minds
They want to make their “data set” a subscription service , while owning any rights to anything u make with it
The "interaction" with that AI version of a football(soccer) player was the generic answer ALL of them spew out in interviews at the side of the pitch. Wow so amazing and innervative 😅 Next one would be "oh we could have won, we played well but they played better" "yes I am happy we won. We played as a team"
I think the only time an AI version of a person would be accurate to that person would be if somehow some way we copied their conciseness to it but that's some like sci-fi level tech that might never exist
Dude, I've been playing anthem since launch and never get tire of it. I enjoy it, especially when the cataclysm event is up and play grandmaster story missions
We all thought the War between AI and humans would be fought with bombs and missiles. Instead it will be fought with awful generative dialogue and disproportionate motion.
WTF? That sounded nothing like Jude Bellingham. EA can't even mimic the voice and accent.
If this becomes easily accessible this will be the downfall of jobs for devs. The technology will either be easily accessible and a community will be made for all the games or it’ll be heavily pay wall and will have a monopoly.
I really don't give a shit how they make their games, as long as it's good.
something like "Ready Player One" movie idea. Hmm. maybee, but its stretch for aleast a decade or more.
If AI is so good we should replace executives with AI.
It’s very sad he feels the need to convince us the mechanics behind the graphics is what’s important. We should all have that perspective already.
With EA them making steps like this, it means that why will make sub par things thinking its cutting edge. Like apple " Oh we've made it be 'clear eyes pro' instead of 'clear eyes'"
Then they are saying "our players will make things, then steal what you made!!!" Itll be in the stipulations like adobee tried to out in
"AI" is just the latest grift by the tech bros who need to keep making the line go up. None of what they showed is AI and none of this is going to work.
In other words get rid of the developers, pay less money, make you build the game yourself and charge you more. Everybody wins !!
you know they'll do stuff like "whatever you create with the AI is a possession of their company" a bit like what Blizzard tried with Warcraft 3 reforged in-game mods.
“Make it more epic”
*Downloading 115GB now
Basically EA is now hiring people to talk to a program, you could easily hire a bum on the street to do this! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The talent is no more “you don’t even know how to code to do this” was the like that did it for me. Next WB and Ubisoft will adopt this and their games will just be made by robots. Goddamn greed and laziness are the perfect couple for these suits huh 🤔
This is why they can lay off employees
And some people wonder why we don't like EA anymore.
It will have its place in the industry. Still the games that are GOTY are works of art, not just AI.
