To Pass School & NREMT On Easy Mode.
(Without Complex, Boring Lectures & Without Struggling Through Textbooks)

Inside today's video, I breakdown three first trimester OBGYN emergencies that you need to know to pass EMT school and the NREMT exam.
As an EMT or Paramedic, you need to understand how these OBGYN emergencies present so that when they appear on an exam or on your next 911 call you are prepared.
For those of you in Paramedic school, this is a great review of your baseline EMT skills and basic life support skill base. Remember NREMT will test every student on OBGYN.

Hello I am currently in school and want to learn from your course but with everything in my personal life I can’t afford it what could I do?
Testing heads up: I just took my NREMT, and it was SUPER heavy on Placenta Previa, Abruptio Placenta, Gestational Diabetes, and Eclampsia (I assume because I was doing poorly on OB questions? I was dumb and didn't spend much time studying this topic...)
Same here. I take my NREMT for the third time tomorrow and just binged all of his videos and feel so much more prepared for it this time (thankfully, because I think we all know what happens if I fail it this time)
@@emilygeorgi8246 what happens if you fail the 3rd time is it just 24hr remedial training?
@@el_sancho935 yes
I swear it felt like a 3rd of my questions were about pregnancy.
Your a gangster for this
I had a tubal ectopic pregnancy. I was in the hospital when I exploded. I did not have PAIN. I was written in medical books. But I did bleed ALOT hemmiriage.. O.R. my blood flew 6'feet
when they opened me up. I have 1 live birth out of 7. 10 years of surgeries. In and out. Of hospital. We adopted two. So I had three daughters.
THANK GOD.. This is a great E.M.T. course.
I went to college for E.M.T... Loved it.
Hi Eva! I know this is 3 years later as of this comment but I'm wondering how are you and your family doing nowadays?
I'm getting ready for my NREMT. I've tried watching some of your videos before, but there was something about them that wasn't very helpful while I was going through the textbook. However, now that I'm studying for the NREMT exam, I can focus in on very specific topics, which is the best way for me to study. Thanks for that.
this is funny. I just went over OBGYN tonight in class. needed this
We must have ESP my friend lol, thanks for watching!
Same. Just went over in class today
These videos are so informative, I just passed my Nremt with the help of these.
Been struggling with OBGYN, taking my NREMT Wednesday, THANK YOU
Nice work!
I know someone else has already mentioned this but, BRAXTON HICKS happens throughout the entire pregnancy. They are not consistent. They are essentially “practice” contractions and are typically not felt, but when they are strong enough to feel they can be mild to very uncomfortable. Usually, if they are felt, the patient can try laying on their left side or drinking plenty of water. Being dehydrated can cause the Braxton hicks to display with very similar symptoms of true contractions including the consistent timing of close contractions.
Braxton Hicks occur mostly in the second and third trimesters. These videos are fascinating because they are often wrong about minor (sometimes not so minor) etiologies.
Like, it’s not THAT big of a deal that you said they occur in first trimester, because they might, but you said twice they *only* occur in the first trimester. That’s not right at all and it could easily lead to missed questions on NREMT. Appreciate your passions but some of the things you say are just wrong.
Exactly, BH contractions can happen at any time.
Glad I wasn’t the only one who picked up in that.
This came in at perfect timing, I have the nremt next Wednesday

I imagine a few patients might confuse the amenorrhea for period pain, good thing there's the differed pain to the shoulder.
When I first started I said no one dies or multiplies in back of the rig.... yeah that didn't last long
My rule is we don't allow Adding or Subtracting in the back
Thank you for sharing this information!! Hopefully someday I will be a paramedic ☺️
You are so welcome!
Braxton hicks can happen throughout the pregnancy
And typically later in pregnancy lol
looking forward to this one!
Can't wait!
Correction: Braxton hicks can happen in any trimester
