I understood that they were the only ones that refused, correct? All the others were doomed like in the movie Wishmaster, careful what you wish for. Sure, they got immortality of sorts, but now as monstrous beings without souls or free will.
The BIW is good. Now knowing who Tabitha is, she had to go out the window to get to Miranda's house, see the pics, get the story FOR HERSELF and Henry. The BIW learned from Christopher not to tell them things directly.....Also..side note..... The Ahnkooey kids are wearing white...dirty white. The BIW is wearing white too. Soooo who is he really.
The thing that pisses me off is no one will ever know how jim died to the man in yellow till current julie jumps to that moment n tries to save him again
7:40 I’ve heard other people mention this hit them in the feels but for me it was Kenny realizing he lost his Mom. That hit me hard on a personal level having lost my Mom fairly young.
Ricky He said when he was filming about Tian-Chen's death, he had just had a baby but also lost a family member. So his emotions at finding his mom to be dead upon coming back from the forest were basically real.
The only reason the monsters are immortal is that Season 5 murder jacket Rick Grimes isn’t in Fromville. If those monsters hurt one of Rick’s loved ones, they wouldn’t stay immortal for long.
Jade and tabitha didnt sacrifice their kid they were against it, and they didnt say everyone isnt reincarnated, just that their souls reincarnations keep being brought back to from because they failed to save the kids. Everyone in the show could be reincarnated but unless their souls been to from before it would be irrelevant. Reincarnation hasnt been said to be unique to tabitha and jade as of yet is what im trying to say. The monsters dont age or die they sacrificed kids for that, smiley was reborn in a mystical, sinister, and "unnatural" way, rebirth isnt equal to reincarnation here as they arent the same person who grows from baby to adult in 30 seconds like smiley did. Reincarnation may be a natural occurrence in the shows universe. The rebirth of smiley was because the monsters are promised immortality.
What a crazy finale! I was really expecting to get more info on BIW and the night of the massacre but I'm very satisfied with everything we got. Smiley being reborn was insane! Julie being a story walker! My theory on the man in yellow is either he is the BIW grown up (he was starting to change) or more likely he is older Ethan. BIW saved Victor from the massacre, he lost his memories, and originally didn't want anyone to leave the town...and I believe BIW saved Ethan in ep1 in the RV (same place man in yellow came out from) and now Ethan is becoming like Victor. Knows things about the town and is starting to forget Thomas. Maybe Ethan grows old here like Victor but becomes evil. There are so many connections with BiW , Victor and Ethan. I think it could be?
There's alot of clues in s1 and 2 , exspecially season one on rewatch. But now with all the new information eventually I'm going to go back and watch them all again LOL
Whether the show goes into the direction of reincarnation, aliens or anything else, these are all metaphors for the fact that if you did a deep dive psychoanalysis, it is absolutely clear the show is representing the patterns within the subconscious mind of a repressed person suffering trauma. But, that's the hidden knowledge, not necessarily the literal exoteric way the show has to go. The moment that seals it is the appearance of the man in Yellow. Also, the key word being "remember." In this case, everything has already happened. Every past archetype is just another failed cycle, the mind in a loop like the mobius strip. Jade and Christopher embody the magician archetype just like Tabitha and Miranda are the hero archetypes. The mind has been recreating archetypes to perform in front of the Big Other. Other characters, like Jim,are not an archetypes, they are complexes (Archetypes are from the collective unconscious and complexes are from the personal unconscious) The man in yellow is the superego, and Jim was the Oedipus complex. The superego did not emerge because of the music. He emerged because Tabitha remembered. That's why we have that flashback of Jim saying, "Sometimes I remember when it wasn't like this." When Tabitha remembered the truth, Jim (Oedipus complex) became irrelevant. The superego is a cruel, harsh, and prosecuting force. The superego also emerges as a defence mechanism to resolve the Oedipus complex and represses the complex's strong feelings. That is why the man in yellow (superego) kills Jim (Oedipus complex). For a comparison, just look at Lynch's Lost Highway. The man in black is the superego, and Mr. Eddy is the Oedipus complex. That's why it is the superego that shoots Mr Eddy while they are in Fred's subconscious (as he remembers the truth), and not the main character Fred killing Dick Laurent in real life. Because Mr. Eddy/Dick Laurent didn't really exist. It was the superego resolving the Oedipus complex.
James, bro...that Henry and Victor scene had me in the water works. Similar to your experience, although my dad's around still. Both my brother and I, actually and my brother passed, unexpectedly, 4 years ago. Got me thinking for sure. Thank you, brother!!
Miranda n Christopher were the only ones that never sacrificed they kid the town took her n sacrificed her n from what i understand its one of their children from one of their past lifes they keep failing to free
I’m thinking there’s the slight possibility that they aren’t the only ones, I can’t imagine they are the only ones that are reincarnations, but I’m open to being wrong. I was wondering if the aberration versions of Father Katri and Tom the Bartender that are talking to Boyd and Jade could also be reincarnations from before that didn’t fulfill there purpose fully in this timeline so they “stay” until they can be reincarnated. Could be one hundred percent wrong, I just don’t want to believe that everyone else in the town is meant to be canon fodder for the monsters. Jade and Tabitha came to town because they were destined to. The bus must have done the same - Randall, Marielle, Julie, and possibly Elgin are reincarnations. Boyd, Abby, or Ellis came in - I would assume Boyd is the reincarnation, but it could have also been Abby given she was being told something to do to get them home. There’s many more who came to town as well that either are reincarnations from the cycle or the beginning.
I got that wrong about Tabitha/Jade kid - thanks for the clarification - @hatintheswaghuh and I agree there should be more reincarnations @coryspaldingmusic?
I slightly felt bad for Elgin because of how afraid he was during the torture, but he also got what he deserved. He should have known better, but then again the voices pray on the weak. I really hope that we get a visual backstory of the monsters next season. Yes we know that they made an evil sacrifice to be eternal beings. If we’re talking generations of reincarnation, then they must go really far back, though it’s interesting the monsters remain in 1950’s clothing. We totally forgot that Boyd was supposed to catch a monster this season and make it talk. I hope they can revisit that plot and actually do it. But yea, rest in peace Jim. While i didn’t like Jim at times, we gotta give him credit to cracking the code as well all his previous efforts like the radio. James you were so right about Jim’s screen time. After Jim forshadowed his own death at the bar, I knew it was over for him at the RV wreck. Great job covering the show this season!
Hey thanks very much and thanks for watching! I thought there were several characters that were not going to die this season - but one I totally thought would is Kristie. But with Jim going - taking Kristie as well would have been crazy daisy. I hope we also get a visual backstory of the sacrifice times. I also wonder how far ahead in time Julie came from. The actress said in an interview she has no clue when or what is even happening with the character yet. It seems it would be hard to act without knowing - but they are good at it. Poor Elgin thought it was an angel. Donna's face when he said that....
I didn't like Jim but did at the same time - hated to see him go. Some things like Tilly and Jim getting more air time was the tell for both - and many on TWD and other similar shows. But the relationship was a distant past life of hers - with whoever Jade was at the time. I wonder if it was him drinking the blood from the skull?
@@lindacumberland7046 really good question - the way the monsters looked at Smiley while he died made me wonder if it ever happened before - so has anyone else killed one and how? - plausible since it seems there has been many cycles
I’m a little let down by the answers with Jade and Tabitha. But the reincarnation aspect is interesting and the questions are keeping me interested and the main mystery for me is why is Boyd so important and why the monsters are so invested in him
One of my questions for this show is: why didn't people go Medieval on those creatures? Make some sort of sword type of weapon and try decapitations, especially when 1-1 or 2-1 with the creatures. Unless they are like lizards and can quickly grow body parts (which was never shown at all), it should slow them down or just plain kill them. "You should have gone for the head" said a wise man once. ;D
@TWDExplained they will never find out if they don't try. In The Walking Dead, people figured out quite fast to go for the head. Granted, zombies are essentially dumb animals, but they aren't magical creatures and can die to human made weapons. Maybe the From creatures are supernatural and don't die by human made weapons. But then again, we never saw sharp or blunt weapons being used.
@@Lrdarucard I agree - after a while they should try more things like Boyd wanted to try and catch one. But it also seems the more they fight back, the more the town gets mad and hurts them.
@willievision9939 maybe but would definitely slow them down or at least scare them a bit. Didnt you see how confused they were when Smiley died? And all the trouble with Fátima just to rebirth one of them?
Now that we now wat we know, their visions from previous seasons should be re-examined more carefully. I have a feeling that the boy in white is either; 1. The incarnation of all the children’s wishes. Explaining why he wears white like them 2. The evil entity that is waking up from his slumber.
Ok so I’m confused with the ending. Is Jim’s death in the current timeline? Like is his death just after Tabitha remembered her past and asked to be alone? Because if it is , why would Julie be from the future when she’s in this very present when Jim’s death is happening????? I mean i could understand if she story walked a hour or 2 in the future to try to stop it but she literally has a whole new look. It’s just not connecting for me unless there’s a time jump after Tabitha’s and Jade’s revelations.

yes it seems like some time has passed but we are not sure how long - it could have been months or even a year or more. In interviews the actress for Julie said she does not even know yet.
