I may have said this before, but I’m going to say again, I really look forward to seeing your videos each and everyday! I don’t live to very far from you. And hope to some day to meet y’all. Your children are a blessing! I love their enthusiasm at helping in the gardening, and looking after the animals. They are living a good and healthy life. I hope they never forget it, and some day they can pass on to their children, this simple way of life. Modern technology can’t replace this!
Megan, you always starve me to death watching you cook! And I had just eaten 2 big bowls of Cheerios for breakfast and wasn't the least bit hungry. Yet when I saw you frying up those new taters and homemade mac and cheese (my favorite food), my mouth was watering! And then you fix that homegrown pulled pork. Law mercy, it just doesn't get any better than that!!!!!! Never mind topping that meal off with homemade chocolate ice cream. My goodness, all that is fit for a king! Delicious southern country cooking at its best!!!! Andy and your precious babies are so blessed having a wife and mom that knows how to feed her family good wholesome meals. I pity all those little children who are raised on McDonald's happy meals and never taste real food. What a blessing you are to your family!🙏❤ Can't wait to see what you trellis with that river cane! I'll be tuned in for the next one!
P.S. Let us see how your little pigsters are growing! Haven't seen them in a while, so I'd say they're doubled, if not tripled, in size!
When I was younger and we dug up the potatoes Dad made a game/contest for us.
He'd get everything he could find then had us each take a pail and had digger go over the bed as much as we wanted and pick up stragglers.
Whoever got the most got the "grand" prize of $5 everyone else got $3 .
It was fun
Sounds like good times.
Boy Jacob is sure getting tall! Playing in the creek sure brought back memories- we use to love doing that and catching minnows and crawdads for fishing! Good times!😊
I'm a Potato 🥔 Connoisseur too, Fried potatoes, Mashed potatoes, French Fries, Baked....yummy
My grand parents used to make ho.emade vanilla ice cream. It was cream , half & half, whole milk, 9 eggs, sugar, salt & vanilla. The eggs were never cooked. We've eaten alot of it. No one ever died or sick. Good stuff.
Love y'all , stay cool.
A deer got the head of my tallest sunflower. So I snipped off the edges and now my shortest sunflower has 4 blooms coming up faster than the rest! I'm excited.
Love those small potatoes in a pot of green beans ...with a bit -o-onion,& fat back .. and more tasty things to go with it ...😊
If people are worried about the eggs do what I do...
Gently heat 1 cup of your milk, pour some into the yolks to temper, then pour back into the hot milk, let cook a minute or 2 then strain and cool, add to your ice cream mixture
Nothing like homemade ice cream but making it with raw milk is a true treat! My dad loved homemade ice cream more than just about anything and he believed it was cure for anything that ailed ya, so my childhood memories include my sister and I taking turns sitting atop the hand cranked ice cream maker while he turned it. It was covered with an old rag rug and that little bit of weight on top helped keep the crank on and made the turning easier. 😀That's going back at least 65 years, but the recipe remains the same to this day and it includes raw eggs. Good stuff! Thanks for bringing us along on your daily adventures, they never disappoint. ❤❤
Morn'n Family from West Virginia. I've been praying that God blesses you all with a great abundance of a very healthy harvest for all your hard work in the gardens. Love your channel. 🙏❤
It is wonderful to see the involvement of your children the your gardens! Your easy going lifestyle is enjoying to watch. Blessings.
For those worried about adding egg into the icecream, if using store bought eggs, they could always temper them into the melted chocolate

Thank you for sharing your journey with us!! We love your videos and we’ve learned so much from y’all. You guys are amazing people and so inspiring to me and others, I’m sure. We live in Laurel, MS zone 8B-ish
There is nothing more rewarding than digging new potatoes!!
I don't know if You know how much you truly inspire some of us to go beyond what we are used to doing. Here is an example. I had a big roll of chicken wire from a project a couple of years ago. I decided to use it to support my tomatoes. It worked great until the tomatoes were smashing their branches up against it. I didn't want to take it all down so I ended up cutting "windows" in the chicken wire to let the branches stretch out. I have some happy tomatoes now. FYI I have also been praying that you get some rain.
♥️✝️🇺🇸 We are 💯% living on Gods time !
Love y’all. Enjoyed watching y’all!
I just figured out why I enjoy your channel so much. It's the honestly and willingness to say when you are wrong about something and you aren't afraid to say so.
Skippin rocks and chillin in the “crick”!! What a life!!
Yep I believe that the water felt good to Maggie she had to lay down in it lol 😂
Love new potatoes in creamed peas
Good morning!!
Ugh…I so wish I had that creek running through our land! So beautiful and refreshing! You guys live in a gorgeous part of the country! Love you guys!
So rich with family history your estate is...my mother inlaw didn't have much in life and we have five acres, barn and garden shed....she always called our place the estate. I loved the ring of that. What a beautiful life you have...you are to be admired for all your hard work.
Andy a man that has as many tractors as you don't need to be digging potatoes by hand. Pull you a middle buster through there. 😊
It's like Christmas when we harvest, lol. All of nature's gifts that we grow! Thank you for all you do!
"Done with no till." ME TOO! My ground is as hard as a rock and I've never had that problem before. I cant grow a carrot to save my life.
Love it yall from north Michigan
Love banana splits with chocolate ice cream and strawberry topping….
Absolutely love watching you
I just love the way y'all work together as a family, exciting harvest on the potatoes.
As efficient as it would be to keep a journal for all your gardens, it would take so much time. Kinda fun having surprises, anyway! I appreciate all the different things aspects of your life that you show us, and I love seeing Maggie and Jacob.
These are some of the best years of your lives.. Enjoy!!
I'm a retired RN
And enjoying gardening your kids are precious so helpful. I was like your daughter as a little girl being raised by my grandma, she grew and preserved all. I Learned
Y'all are the greatest inspiration on TH-cam when it comes to farming. I was sitting here after supper drinking some tea and watching y'all get up potatoes. About 8 minutes in after thinking about it, I went and watered my garden. That's not the first time one of your videos has inspired me to go do something in the garden. Y'all got quite a haul of potatoes out of that bed. Outstanding meal Meagan! Jacob and Maggie have the right idea about what to do when it's hot. Y'all have a great night.
Have had homemade ice cream with raw eggs all my life. Im almost 57.
Potato harvest has to be the most enjoyable job. Love from Ireland as always ❤
Maggie is so sweet with a little motor mouth, my great grand daughter is just like her. Willing to please. You are doing a great job as parents. 😊❤
Great video Megan, you all had a great time digging and gathering all those potatoes. That's some fine meals with all the different ways to prepare those new potatoes. Got a good mess of both types of potatoes from the plant and see what happens garden plot, waste not want not !! Enjoyed your culinary teachings too, looked like a great meal you prepared . It's even great after the company visits with you. We will see it when you share it with us. Stay safe and keep up the good works and videos. Fred.
Megan, years ago, my mother-in-love gave me a homemade ice cream recipe that called for eggs. I've always used store bought eggs and it's always been great. I know your farm fresh eggs are more delicious.
Megan you and Andy have the most positive attitude. Wish I had the chance to live your lifestyle.
I live in Missouri. We have what you're calling river cane! I've always told the kids it was bamboo. Wow. I learned something! My grandson asked me if Pandas lived by our creek! Lol.
My husband had a bad chainsaw accident yesterday . So I’m enjoying your video while he lays on the couch to recover.
Love your videos
I just dug 20-25 potato plants yesterday and got about a 5 gal bucket. It's looking like a good potato year. I may try to plant another batch for a fall harvest. My Grandma always used egg yolks in ice cream. Looks like some good food right there.
Skipping rock on moving water is a trick. Well done.
I could watch you all every day,7 days week❤
Me too!! ❤
Now that I’ve watched the video I want fried potatoes and ice cream 😂😂❤
I love the excitement in your daughter's voice about asking about the ice cream, so cute.

I dug my potatoes 🥔 this week also and they are delicious in some bacon grease 😂😂. Love y’all’s videos and enjoy watching!! Hope y’all have a great growing season!!❤️
My grandma used to cook the potatoes in with the green beans, then take them out and fry in bacon grease. Flavor was amazing!

As my Granny used to say, “Beats nothing a’tall!”
Omgosh, the chocolate ice cream looked heavenly! 😋 Nice potato harvest. Always a blessing to have fellowship w friends. Have a blessed week.😊
Years ago my Dad would make us a milkshake in blender and he always added an egg which made it so fluffy creamy😊
Megan I enjoy watching your videos so much to me it’s like I am there visiting with ya’ll and I love watching your kids help you in your garden and it tickled me to see Maggie lay down in your creek so funny 😅
I learned last year that potatoes need alot of water to get big. I have to plant later or raise the soil to prevent rainy spring rot here near Memphis. Digging potatoes is like opening gifts! 😊 that creek is a blessing in this heat! Y’all have fun
I live in Lansing at off 64 before Earle at I’m raising potato’s in a planter can’t wait to see what I’ve grown
@@roxannepruitt4024 it’s exciting!
Good luck! 😃
Do what my dad does we live up North cut up some of the hottest peppers you got seeds and all take a cup and soak them in a gallon of water for 24 hours then strain it and spray your bugs in the garden and hope it works for you and if you it works for us hope you all have a blessed day

Good friends aren't always going to be there and eating supper late is ok! For sure, the work is always going to be there!!! Enjoyed the video! God bless.
You leave us in suspense!! ❤
I grow them in an old galvanized wash tub just for a small batch. Kids used to think it was magical when they dug em up.
That looks like a great dinner. Yummy yum.
Enjoyed watching!
That ice cream had to be delicious made with fresh milk, cream and eggs. We love ice cream. You never know who you might meet over a cone of ice cream 😄 i like those small potatoes too, they're easy to cook. Your meals always look delicious.
Beautiful Potatoes, Food and Ice Cream. See ya next time.😊
Thanks for the video!
I planted potatoes before I planted anything. Everybody said I did it too early and the harvest is too early. But I've gotten some really nice potatoes.
We just call it cane and we would cut long ones and let them dry, fix them with fishing line and cork and hook and go cane pole fishing, some call it bank fishing! My mother inlaw loved to fish in our pond with a cane pole!! And my grandkids are just like your kids! When they are at their place in the country they will swim in the pond or creek!! Just good living!!
You have some
Good Little Helpers!🙂👍
Love the orange crew working together. Another great video ❤
Hey baby girl, I really love to watch you cook. Such awesome dishes
Will y’all adopt an old woman??😂😂 I just love watching y’all!! ❤
I laughed when yall wasn't sure of what you planted where. I was the same way. I started a garden ledger in 2018, and it helped me so much. Love yalls videos. Chuck from Arkansas .
Hey yall, wow your garden yielded alot of potatoes.
The homemade ice cream looked delicious. 😊❤🙏
Ms. Ruby
There is just nothing like eating what we grow .
Hello! The eggs make the "ice cream" Custard, it's wonderful, so rich. Best "ice cream" I ever tasted was a pistachio custard OMG, it was delicious. Thank you for sharing your family life. We just got home from visiting Western N.C. we took our grandkids to a swimming hole at the Fingerlake in Almond. Grandson had a blast on the rope swing, he didn't want to go 😊
Much love from Appalachia Kentucky. Love your family.
Another outstanding job guys 👍!😇!😇!😇!😇!
Love that little water hole
I save the green potatoes for seed potatoes for next year.
I love frying onions with my taters and put Italian seasoning on them while they're cooking. They're awesome!
It's 100 degrees in CT today. I would love to wade in that water. Reminds me of my childhood.😊
I have a few rivercane baskets made by the Cherokee. They’d split it and sue with walnut and blood root etc and weave baskets. It’s quite a time consuming process and is hard on your hands.
Beautiful potatoes!
Find you a good dry place under a shed get a table or frame with some chicken wire and put some dry straw on it and put you potatoes on it to keep, as long as they stay dry and get air they will keep unless you have a good dark cool root cellar
I grew up eating homemade ice cream made with eggs...it's the only way my grandma, aunts and mom ever made it. It seems a little wrong to me to make it any other way 😂
Mommy use to take them small ones and scrape them under running water then fry them . Not peel, just barely scrape.
