Yeah! Use this handle for other project! The old and very old wood have got a very interesting color!
You are right 😊 and they have a soul 😊
It is a professional work that is a product of practical intelligence, giving importance to aesthetics in what it does.
Thank you sir.
Appreciate you taking the time to explain what each step in the process you were taking, can be frustrating watching similar videos and not knowing what is being used or why.
Glad you like it. Cheers 👍
Great job dude , first time i saw somebody come up with proper detailing of chemical and other stuff used. thanks Man
Thank you very much!
Very well done! I’d like to recommend you consider carving the foot of the hatchet into an oxen hoof; it is an implement for hard work and I think it would raise the aesthetic value
That's sounds good. May try this
Good job
👍
wow that’s really cool my grandfather was from lankashier England what a small world
👍
Amazing restoration. Lots of effort and quality work. My only comment,
I would have gone with black instead of red.
Thanks
Love it !👌😀👍
Thanks
We always burned the old handles out of our tools on the farm. Maybe not the quickest way, but when you always have a fire going, it's an easy one.
That's something I may do in the future. Thanks for this tip :)
Thanks you 👍
Look I am going to be straight in the beginning I was like man get a life but at the end well done your work is awesome
Wow. Why you change your mind. 👍
Great work !!!!
Thanks a lot!
Bravo, bravo super perfect work and awesom video, respectful from old BG.
Thank you. All the best 👍
Great job on a fun project.

Central Camp classic treasure
it is :)
Nice job~! I especially like the little "keeper" strap idea and had never seen this done before.
Thanks for all the work you put in making this video for us to learn from.
Thanks. Appreciate your comment
I have one of those axes, great little lightweight tools
Indeed. Thanks
Thanks
A very good job ! Well done sir.
Thanks
Nice Fixing! 🪓👍🏻🎅🏻
Thanks 👍
Good Restoration
👍
Great job
👍
Beautiful job. Congrats !
Thanks
Great job!
👍
Lovely work but not sure the sharp pointy wedge with a screw in it is the best way to go. Sooner or later you’ll want to choke up on the handle and something is going to bite.
No.. its fine
Ótimo trabalho. Parabéns 👏🇧🇷
Thanks
Enjoying this video ... found a similar type axe head in my father's garage ... you have influenced me to.fix it properly
Good to hear!
Just a suggestion from personal experience, when removing the head I cut the handle off and then drill out The Handle left in the socket and then knock it out with a punch. Love the work 👍🏼
I thought of the same thing, but he said he would use the handle on other project, so cutting it wouldn't be too smart
Thanks for that
You are right on this
Thanks
Awesome informational educational video experience Y'alls
Glad you enjoyed it
Excelent Job congratulation.
Thank you
Swel-loc works well too
It would as well :)
Thank you for using wooden inserts on your bench vice!
👍
Excellent craftsmanship. Truly a work of art. But I can't understand why the metal wedge aswell as the wooden one though?
Thanks.
Metal wedge was just for fun. I alway try to do something different everytime. Challange myself.
Seems like many people expected a 'conservation' in stead of 'restoration' - which is what you did in my opinion. I really like your work and the fact that you gave this tool a new lease on life. Five stars :)
Thank you so much 👍
good work
Thanks👍
Good job, just struggling with the idea of painting it. An old ax like that is worthy of a shine and maybe bluing.
same. I liked it right up until that red paint hit and then my hear hurt
Paint is my choice
Yes, you are generous
👍
Hey man. Great job. You do know that you were trying to remove the old handle in the wrong direction. If a guy doesn’t look first. It’s easy to make that mistake. It looks awesome now.
Gñpppphñ
Thanks
Hi bro 👋👋👋good to see you 🤝🤝🤝 awesome restoration axe 🔥👍👍👍💣👌🏽✌🏻
Thanks 👍
I would saw the old handle off and drill a hole through first and then hit it out...easier that way...nice work on the restoration.
Thanks
When you used the wd40 at the beginning, aren’t you just swelling the wood with moisture?
Hmm... That's a good point ? Not really sure about that, however it did help slide the axe head out the handle.
Ficou muito bom o trabalho.
Thanks
Nice..
👍
You did an amazing job! Well done!
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice bro
Thanks
Very nice job in the refurbishing.

You're a great worker and your actions spoke of you, you're really charismatic! Have a good day, cheers!
Thank you kindly!
Next time instead of steel stick, get a small can of lab metal. Works better for that application. 👍🤠👌
Hi. Will definitely try this out. Thanks for the tip!
@@FALCON390Workshop You welcome. Love the videos. Keep em coming. 👍🤠👌
The anode used looks like a piece of armour plate from an aircraft.
Nice
Is there no other way to hold the wood by using the bandsaw, I mean holding the fingers wery near.
I'm an expert 👍
Use carbide dremel bits to get those welds cleaned up; they are cheap on ebay and are great for cleaning up welds. Great job regardless
Thanks for the tip!
😩
very good !
Thanks
Is the electric process to remove rust? Thought that mc 51 thing did that
Yes its called an electrolysis rust removal. Google it and you will find loads tutorial videos about it
I just about had an anxiety attack watching you spray paint over the top of your power tools lol.
Wow I feel you man
👍
Is mahogany a good choice for an axe handle??
not the best, but look good on my wall :)
👍
Love this one!👍
Thanks
Good feedback
From ebay
Next time, use a smaller plate and a puller to separate the axle head.
Thanks for feedback
What are the little pieces of cloth used for?
Just to showcase sharpnes
Perfeito
Thanks
Cheers
Do you know how old that axe head is because I have one just like it
Hi.
I don't know how old the axe is.
gluing the wedge how smart is that?
It's very smart
I think that is a ww2 axe because I have seen them before at a flea market
Quite possible
You clean up the eye before you "fit" the haft to it. If you are going to leave gaps between wood and steel at all then those will have to be filled with epoxy, easiest done when seating the axe for the final time by applying slowcuring epoxy to inside of the eye.
NECK BEARD CONFIRMED
👍
Excellent restoration!!!!
Many thanks!
Good luck keeping all those fingers.
Thanks
Nicely done... Thumbs Up!
Thanks
Why have the guard right where someone chokes up for fine carving tasks? Blisters in minutes.not a big fan of that but the rest 👍
It's just to try something different
Lol, unbelievable.
Why is that ?
Great job!
:-).
Thank you! Cheers!
Nicely done.
Thanks
Good job but the red messed up the looks and when you filled in thos holes.
I agree
You don't like pained tools ?
That handle is beautiful
Thank you
Great job mate. Turned out beautiful but still usable. 🇦🇺👍
Thanks 👍
Amazing Axe!!! I just subcribed to your Chanel and blessings to you and your family 😇
Thanks for subbing!

Thanks
Fantastic job!
Thank you very much!
What is the liquid in the tub?
Could you tell me what minute that tube appears ?
Fingers!
Will do, thanks
👌👍👌

What are you taking about ?
How old tihs axe is
Sorry. I don't know.
👍
