Visited Maligne Canyon in June 2015 and it is unbelievable how the scenery changes from one season to another. It looks such an amazing experience to visit in wintertime - a totally different perspective of the area, just could not have imagined it like this. Thank you for sharing your experience!

Born and raised in edmonton and spent a lot of time in the mountains in alberta and in BC. You'd have a hard time convincing me there are many places more beautiful than alberta and british columbia's mountains. I'm glad o see you've had so much fun!
My favorite was the ice castle. When you said Edmonton is famous for ice castles, I imagined some two to three foot ice sculptures of castles, not one you could walk through. Looks fun!

Loved seeing this part of the world (I'm from there but now living in New Zealand). But just want to let people know that the hotels you stayed in are terrifically expensive, and there are lots of good cheaper hotels in these beautiful areas, so don't let the prices stop you from going!

The hot springs pool takes me back. I grew up in the Rockies, and every winter we would go to a hot springs...so many good memories.

One of our favourite trips was Jasper to Banff and down to Yellowstone. Such an amazing place! This makes me want to go back in winter! Incredible!

I was there in 2002 working at Jasper Park Lodge. Such a wonderful place I have ever been. I still want to revisit the place.
