This dialogue sounds so foreign to me just cause I've never even heard it before. That's crazy. Also I like the expressive way you animated Eggman.

The animation is gorgeous, the voice acting is crispy, the music is in the perfect level, and the reflection of Rogue's eyes when Knuckles shaders the emerald is beautiful this should be a remake of sa2

Eggman's reaction to failing to procure the Master Emerald here made me realise how different his demeanor is nowadays than it used to be. To this Eggman, "it doesn't matter". He'll just look into it later. With current Eggman, I feel like he would have yelled and had a fit before spitting promises of his impending victory and flying away.
SA2's more chilled out Eggman was certainly more menacing thanks in-part to how he handled setbacks. I have nothing against current Eggman, this is just something I noticed.
Awesome animation, I am a big fan of how you changed the pacing of the scene by adding in pauses and wordless actions in-between the dialogue. I also like that you cut away from Knuckles explaining the Master Emerald to Rouge in order to establish that Eggman was nearby. It doesn't hurt the narrative since the Master Emerald's power gets explained again later in the game, and it helps the scene feel less random by establishing a question ("what is Eggman here for?) and then giving an answer ("he wants the Master Emerald").
There's a theory saying that Eggman has become crazier over the time since he's always being losing
@@cauaplays1331 Mike Pollock as certainly had fun with the role since then.
@@cauaplays1331 Oh, I know. I fully buy into that theory - it makes too much sense. A lot of his scenes and dialogue in modern games supports it: "Nasty little pin cushion! Just give up and die already!", "I'm sick of you getting in the way every... single... TIME!", and his maniacal laugh in the penultimate cutscene of Sonic Generations - this one really made him come off as more broken down and mad than he'd ever been.
It is interesting to compare how he used to act to how he acts nowadays. I prefer his SA2 portrayal, I'll be honest, but I do LOVE modern Eggman's high energy and wit.
@@amandaslough125 For sure. The energy he brings to Eggman is delightful in my opinion. It's always nice to get the impression that voice actors are having fun with their roles.
Am I the only one who gets Naraku vibes from Adventure era Eggman?
the voices are cut off a bit at the beginning, and I know that it's supposed to emulate the distance that Eggman is from them, but it just cuts out instead of fading, but other than that, it's amazing!

Their movements are a bit stiff especially their idle poses but the expression on their faces are really good and I think everything about eggman looked great
The shot where we see the reflection of the pieces of the master emerald in Rouge’s eyes at 1:12 is beautiful. That’s my favorite shot

@@tntsonic7482 Yeah, Generations cutscenes weren’t horrible. But they still felt pretty lifeless overall compared to previous entries outside of maybe 06. They’re still the most tolerable out of the Grontac era games. I just hope we get something better in the future.

I love Knuckles's model and his facial animations so much in this. It portrays him the way he should've been from the get go but he's been so mistreated by Sega these days

I remember when Knuckles sounded like a cool dude instead of a meat head.
It's kinda funny because in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity he refers to Storm as a meathead and it's ironic to watch that scene now knowing what Knuckles has become :|
I love how Eggmans moustache has its own separate animation. Not too mention the lowkey sass of eggmans body language.

I wish they did what crash did and just remake the big three (sa1,sa2,sonic heroes) thats all i wish for, sa2 is mediocre, but memorable, heroes is no doubt on of the best and sa1 still holds up to this day.

This is only the second time I've seen someone remake a scene of SA2 and its glorious. Really makes me pine for a true remake of the earlier 3D titles. Subscribed and looking forward to more!

This is amazing and you did my boy KTE justice and I can't wait for more of these videos.
My only criticism is when Knuckles runs, it looks so choppy, despite that I appreciate the effort you put into this, I also like how Knuckles and Rouge have textures.

My only problems with this are that the lip sync is kinda bad at times especially at 0:23. And the animation is stiff at times too. But aside from that the models and lighting are GREAT. Keep on animating, dude.
Edit: I forgot to mention that you also fixed the voice acting problems with this cutscene. Once again, good job.

I absolutely love how knuckles goes "blah blah blah" in the distance. Makes the scene way funnier and more memorable.

But I think the poses should be fixed a little to look more "dynamic", but the movements themselves look pretty good

As someone who has beaten this game like hundreds of time growing from age 6-27 now, you did a very well job here!
What I like:
The change on the dialogue you did made the conversation flow better
That cut off you did with Knuckles was very interesting. I know what he says during that
exchange, but it gives the audience (to those who havent played)a way to think for themselves on what he says
How you made knuckles break the emerald. For how strong he is, it's more believable for the emerald pieces to spread out
compared to the original where he looked like he did a breaststroke to break the damn thing xD
You took out that AWKWARD AS ALL HELL Scream out that Rougue does and just does the yelp when she falls off the platform
during the fight between her and knuckles.
Besides a few phase issues (The echo that happens when knuckles starts talking), you did an AWESOME JOB! If you plan on doing more of
these, I can't wait! :)
