Yea honestly it just depends. I think if they made it with more of a modern feel in both looks and gameplay I’d love it. I’ll always prefer an official game to private servers, that’s just the way I am.

I would say that the rewritten team has modernized and restored Toontown better than Disney ever would have themselves. I like the private servers more for this reason
Yea, don't get me wrong, TTR and TTCC are leagues better than TTO, but I have always been someone that has preferred an official game server rather than a private one. Not for the enjoyability of it, but simply because its legit. I don't know if that makes sense. It's probably just my ocd brain or something that makes me feel that way. I'd love a toontown 2 with an updated, more modern combat and plenty of content. I can hit 115 laff in ttr in like 3-4 weeks. Less if I could play nonestop. TT2 could have extra side content to keep us engaged. Anywho, sorry for the long reply lmho @@natebailey1122
This was a really cool video! The joy from playing Clash after many years of playing Rewritten is what eventually led me to join the team as one of their video editors over a year ago now. I am glad that the word of clash is getting around and more people get to experience this game!
To me, CorpClash is very much.. the Ducktales 2017 of MMOs. More complexity, more worldbuilding- clearly with love for the original and going in new directions. And it's surprising because I grew up with other MMOs. Club Penguin, Jumpstart, Poptropica, etc. So CorpClash feels like an anomaly in how it was beginner friendly.
The main reason people tend to gravitate towards Toontown rewritten is because it's a more simple and chill game overall. It has fewer confusing mechanics for players who tend to be more casual gamers. Also, the fact that it's really similar to the original is the major selling points to returning players. While clash is definitely a great game and does offer more in terms of mechanics and gameplay overall which I myself do like it's just not something who the audience of Toontown as whole is looking for in general. There definitely is an audience for the game that's evident in the player base. I myself enjoy both for completely different reasons (I am maxed in both) Overall, I'm glad both servers exist they are both the best at what they do. TTR offering a more traditional Toontown experience and casual fun time, and Clash offering amazing new gameplay graphics and mechanics.
I got back into Corporate Clash a few weeks ago. first time playing it was a few years back, but I only got to the docks on two different characters. Forgot why I'd even make two when I tend to usually have one in any game I play. Being that long since I last played I made a new one and boy, seeing how much they added and changed since then blew my mind! I even got a couple of friends to give it a try. Currently at Ye Old Toontoon and I love how for a completely new area how much care was put into it, and I don't see that passion going away any time soon. It's like you said, it's great if you want Toontown with a more modern spin to it, and it's nice to be able to play these if you're like me and was only able to play the free portion of Toontown back then.
Always good to see clash recommended. I was on the team for a tiny bit of time, but a new job took up too much of my dev time. I won't spill any of the jellybeans, but dang if the stuff they have planned isn't hugely exciting!
@TrainerLuxu I'd be lying if I had any clue, it was like 2 years ago at this point, and many things were concept phase. Just saying that there is without a doubt even more in store!
As someone who played Ttr just like you back when we had to set a time slot in order to play the game I completely agree that while I love Ttr, corporate clash takes the cake. I started playing the first week of june this year and just 2 weeks ago I played non-stop to the point where I reached the maximum laff (160 days from 15 to 150) and im still playing the game near every day. something you didn't mention but I thought it would be nice for you to know is that the corporate clash streaming community is so kind and awesome and if you want to stop by and visit one you will see just how much fun you can have with a lot of friends!

corporate clash really is what I wanted toontown to be as a kid. I had always wanted a new type of gag, a new type of cog, a new playground, and that’s where my list mainly ended. But the ttcc crew has been able to bring toontown to life in a way that i genuinely don’t think anyone could have imagined back in 2013. It’s a good thing Disney’s toontown shutdown in 2013, and although it was a bit of a dark age for a while, it opened the doors for two amazing servers. It really really feels like the cogs closed down toontown in 2013, and now it’s in the toons hands, which… is kinda cringy af I’ll admit, BUT WHAT, I LOVE AND GREW UP WITH THIS GAME….. aaNNNyways, yup. I really love this game, hopefully Disney stays away from it.
Yea Toontown is honestly amazing and im glad it still lives. Although I wouldnt hate it if disney made toontown 2, as long as they didnt just shut it down as soon as sales dipped down even slightly
I would say clash isn’t really what Toontown 2 would be, it’s more like a modern version of Toontown that kept on updating instead of running out of steam halfway through its lifespan. I would say event horizon is closer to Toontown 2 since it’s essentially a full on sequel to the original Toontown, plus it has a space theme which I think was something Toontown 2 was going for judging by the doodle minigame from it. Either way Clash is peak Toontown. Oh and you can still play the original toontown through sunrise games and toontown archive since those are servers that are literally builds of the game through its lifespan.
Yea I mean it’s definitely personal opinion. I don’t mean that corporate clash is toontown 2 in the sense that it’s a sequel, more that it has a lot of the gameplay elements I had thought up when dreaming about toontown 2
I’d love to help. Idk anything about programming, but I also really want Toontown 2.0 to exist… or maybe a 3.0. I need it to exist. The real dream is to get the original Disney characters back on board. It feels empty without them walking around.
I prefer Corporate Clash because the other ones have dead servers. Thats because they have a crap ton of servers open, that we are all dispersed around & its limited to a small amount of players per server. Corporate Clash has like, a few servers and it seems like we are all in one server.
