Is there a point to Velocidrome, Gendrome, Iodrome and Giadrome being in the game? The devs don't necessarily need a point to making a monster or subspecies that's almost identical to another. I personally like the idea of a rookie hunter battling a Basarios, only for him to meet it years later when he's a veteran, as a Gravios, at which point they finally settle things. You can argue it serves more of a world-building purpose than a variety purpose.
@@zuu3180 one thing I noticed when he said he ran out of time when the purple ludroth was weak enough to retreat to its sleeping section, bruh, that's why you should always bring traps just in case something like that happens, you don't always have to kill each new monster you fight.

If, for example, I had to make Black Gravios WAAAAAAAAAAAY different from the original Gravios, was that a Gravios anymore? I think not! A Subspecies is characterized for similarities in both fisical aspect and behaviour, but some attack patterns are different, for example: regular Gravios lacks the super heat ray of the Black, A.Naja and regular have different use of the scales, Pink Rathian uses the tail more and has the bite-swipe attack and jumping tailswipe from the ground. Gold Rathian has different staggers, more reactivity when replacing and tailswiping, and can perform the explosive fireball three times iin a row instead of 1. Kirin and Oroshi Kirin is self-explanatory. Also the Emerald Congalala that he criticized farts more than the regular one, both when he slam dunks or when he gets up after the series of claw swipes. You can't say it's just copy pasting around, i picked just monsters from 4U for making the example, but it can be applied also to the other games of the lore.
I started watching this video again cause I forgot what his picks were, found my comment and am now re-commenting on it cause I'm an idiot😂😂. Hopefully, this guy can find the enjoyment of fighting these "bad" subspecies. I can understand why he doesn't like these monsters and all cause I felt fairly similar about most, if not all of them, but I gotta say, in a year or so, I've fought and succesfuly killed all the subs he's mentioned here and I gotta say, just because I subspecies is what it is, doesn't mean it'll be stronger, better looking, or at all more intertaining, you gotta understand that there are mosnters that are gonna make you hate EVERY SINGLE THING ABOUT THEM, but that thise fights along with the monsters themselves are suppoused to he ranked in their own way, not in comparison to their regular species fights. Yes, we all hate the Red Khezu and how it has no theme or how it doesn't really have any new moves, I won't take away from that one😂. LOVE your videos man, continue making things like these please😅😅😂😂
I actually like how Barioth and Sand Barioth reflect early humans. Humans were split in two different areas, Deserts and Antarctica. Those who were in Antarctica, a place where food was plentiful, didn't have to be very smart and were able to resort to simple brute force and raw animal instinct to hunt an survive. However, people in the desert, a place where food and water was scarce, had to be more resourceful and a lot more intelligent with how they went on about doing things. This is reflected beautifully in Barioth. Regular Barioth, found in the frozen tundra, uses more brute strength attacks like the shoulder bash and is much faster and stronger. Likewise, Sand Barioth, found in the desert, uses more technical attacks such as the tornado, in addition to being much slower and having less physical attack. I have no idea if this was intentional but I thought it seemed interesting.
Umm I love his reasons for hating basarios. "It's a clone of gravios" Erm....basarios is the baby form of gravios. So yes it moves, acts like gravios is because it is gravios....just a baby
Does anyone find it funny that he curses like a sailor in his streams but censors himself in videos? Also, you should've used clips from the stream for No. 1. That fight was glorious ("the poison! the poison is FUUUCK").
Short summary of the list in my eyes and my opinion: 10: I agree that the Ruby Basarios is a bad subspecies, and that it adds little to no detail to the fight, except the poison. However, it is the baby, less matured version of the Gravios, so its behavior makes sense. 9: I can see why you dont like the Rathian and the Rathalos, but it doesnt mean they're entirely BAD monsters. I actually like the Pink Rathian in MHW, and its poison weapons are very good in the game. 8: Likewise to 9, I can see why you dont like the Sand Barrioth, and it can be a frustrating fight. However, I do like the Sand Barrioth because it's a very good subspecies, and it adds a lot to the fight. 7: I HIGHLY prefer Baleful Gigganox than the original, and even then it's still kind of a pain in the ass. It's a lot more fun than the original, but I can agree that it still kind of sucks. 6: Three things about this one. First off, I agree that this subspecies is very lazy, and that it's almost a copy and paste of the original. Second, I dont like the purple all that much either, but the Gypciros is more of a grey-blue color. Third off, good for you that you like the original, because I have a very hard time liking it all that much. 5: I agree 100% about this one. Although I dont hate nor love the regular Duramboros, I DESPISE the Rust Duramboros, especially solo. Its bulkier than the original, and it adds little to no differences to the original. 4: Hands down, the Green Plesioth is the worst and most annoying subspecies period. I think this should've been number one, but I love the Plesioth's weapons and armor. Its WAY worse than the original, and it's the worst water monster period. 3: I wont say much about this one, but I do hate the Red Qhezu quite a bit too. I think that this monster does indeed suck, but I kinda disagree with it only having one new attack, as I noticed at least one or two of them. 2: You're right about the Emerald Congolala taking the right step when it comes to using blast as a new way of attack, but I also agree about the placement of this monster on the list. It does indeed suck, and the color really does look terrible on it. I also agree that it farts and burps more, but at least it took ONE step in the right direction, rather than the opposite. 1: Not what I was expecting, but I can see why you hate it. Yes, it isnt purple. It's a darker pink than anything else, and the idea of it using poison in ALMOST every attack can be very tideous, but it isnt the outright worst thing ever. I think that it is one of the most boring subspecies and one of the least creative, but it isnt the worst. Like I said, that would belong to the Green Plesioth.
bosarios is not a clone, it's the baby version of Gravios, do your research, the reason the two fight the same, is because they're the same monster in different points in life
_'A large wyvern found in volcanic areas. They are the __*__juvenile_*_ form of the Gravios. They have a rock-like carapace that requires powerful weapons to crack. It emits poisonous gases.'_ SRSLY BRA... check your facts, before making a fool of yourself.... [ monsterhunter.wikia.com/wiki/Basarios_Ecology ]
Um, yeah, I have a few nitpicks with this video: 1. The Emerald Congalala, once it eats its mushroom, gets fire breath (inflicting, obviously, Fireblight) and an explosive fart that inflicts Bomb-blight. It also now throws 3 turds at a time instead of just one. 2. The Red Khezu has more than 1 new move. In fact, you can see it in your footage: I dunno about you, but I'm pretty sure regular Khezus can't launch a thunderball onto the ground that erupts into a thunder burst. 3. If you've read what the wiki has to say about Basarios, then you should know that Basarios are baby Gravios. The hell were you expecting them to be like!? 4. Regular Gypceros is more of a blue color. So no, Purple Gypceros most definitely has a noticeable color difference. 5. NEGATE POISON MOTHERFUCKER, DO YOU USE IT!? 6. Have you not heard of the Blue Yian Kut-Ku? It is LITERALLY just a Yian Kut-Ku except blue. In fact, I just call it the Yian Kut-Blue.
RogueOmega actually the blue yian kut ku gets a new attack where it jumps into the air and smashes its beak into the ground multiple times. other than that, yeah, you're right
i kinda like the emerald congalala. He brings a new threat, and a sort of different attack pattern. His mushroom eating mechanic bring a new challenge, its a well thought attack and i really like it. its a different challenge than the congalala. i think its an okay subspecies. my only complaint is that it dies too easily
I only dislike him bc he's a congalala, I would say weaker bc with full gog armor and great sword fully upgraded it took 2 tries on a high rank normal congalala, but emerald I did with worse and MUDERED HIS ASS
basarios isnt a ripe off of gravios..... its a juvenile gravios....... of course they'll fight the same BECAUSE THEY ARE THE SAME MONSTER JUST A BABY VERSION OF THE GRAVIOS.
This was stupid from him. But in the other Hand, I must ask, is it even necressary too put a weaker Version into the Game? I guess its because Gravios is very strong and one of the biggest normal Monsters. So making a weaker Version hypes him too be a real thread. Is it enough, and did it work? I think he is fine. He can hide himselfe, whats cute.
@@Sunaki1000 the armor is good (as I remember) and he has the feeling of yian kut-ku and yian garuga, the basarios it's more cute and fun to look at his attacks meanwhile gravios it's giant, menacing and powerful
I know it's your opinion, but this is basically based off real life. IRL, animals and insects evolve to develop new and different traits, all of which are to help it survive. While most of these evolutions are not massive, game changing differences, it evolved in that specific way just to let it live in the areas that they inhabit. These monsters that have the "Basarios syndrome" are no different.
Deviants are monster that involve and change based on their environment and previous battles. Subspecies are are different type of monster all together. For example, there a tons of different types of spiders. Each one of these different types of spiders are subspecies.
Deviants are monsters that changed in life, subspecies are monsters that evolved there is a stark difference what kin is saying is that monsters that are evolutions of other monsters in real life would be similar to the others not completely different
@@RedLeopardVideos If I remember correctly the Japanese Name of Deviants are "Veterans". Older Monsters who survived Fights whit Hunters, malformations, ore attacks from Predators, and grow from the experience.
I apologize for asking, but what armor set were you wearing in the first reenactment kill of the sand Barioth and the purple Ludroth fight? :> (I apologize again, please be more gentle with your arguments...)
I know a lot of people don't like the Khezu, but I find it kinda interesting, honestly. It's got an almost sci-fi horror vibe to it when it hangs from the ceuling and tries to eat you. Like yeah, mechanically it can be a pain in the ass, but just _watching_ how it functions and how it conducts electricity with its tail is cool to me. I dunno. I feel like Capcom totally nailed its design.
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't red khezu originaly have a strechier neck? Wasn't it originaly the only version of this monster that had the super long neck attack? Maybe that was just my luck in FU but I don't think I've ever seen a standard khezu do that in that game.
I actually have an unpopular opinion on Basarios, I actually really like it's fight compared to Gravios (because I genuinely hate the sleep ailment, poison just let's me keep fighting with a 50-50 chance that I'll live through it therefore making the fight more intense.) And I think Ruby Basarios is good to because of that falling rock attack. Plus both monsters mainly appear in the exhibition quest in 4U, which I actually like those to because you get exclusive monsters to it, AND rare armor peices and weapons, it's a mode I wish they brought back for future games.
I don't care about Basarios, like the Ruby looks and the Rise Basarios. I HATE Gravios and its ssp, boring and annoying. So yea, Basarios still better than Gravios. Uragaan as stone monster in a volcano is much better.
i guess he does not know that there was once a time when the subspecies only differed in appearance and damage output ,talking about MHF unite : Pink rathian was a total push over back then and had no different moves the same goes for purple Gypceros
Actually if you pay close attention the Red Khezu is twice as spammy with it's moveset as the regular Khezu, differently than the normal one when he jumps back he'll spit a ball of lightning at you which will explode after a few seconds he also shoots 3 lightning projectiles while he's on the ceiling as opposed to just one (like the regular Khezu) which is incredibly cheap and he can do his lightning energize while moving so he does add a few new things but none of it is any good and just comes off as frustrating lazy and infuriatingly annoying
I was anticipating the royal ludroth the entire time because i watched your top 10 worst monster hunter monsters video! I was even getting a little worried...and for once, I can actually agree with somebody's opinion! Nice vid bro!👍👌
Poor Red Khezu, it deserve more love. Personally I didn't like it untill I red a theory about why it is red... and it made a lot of sense... enough sense to forgive it. About Green Plesioth... I like only the fact that its DS have good sleep element... that's enough for me to forgive it. Personally the worst subspecies is Blue Yan Kut Ku... Anyway just my opinions, nice videos ;) Edit: sources confirms that Red Khezu is the original one, the White regular one is an albin.
ThatGuyWithTheTripod Well it is a little bit long with proofs and stuff like that. But I'll sum up it. The Red Khezu is an albin. The theory suggest that Khezu's skin is like our eyes; an albin has red eyes because there isn't anymore the colour and we see the blood. Same thing for Red Khezu... without its white colour we can see its blood beneath its skin. + it explain why its gameplay is almost litteraly the same... It is just a normal albin khezu.
I hate them all! I'm a hammer main and I like to get a bit proud of myself. So I look back at other monsters I fought. I don't remember a single time while I was fighting a Khezu that a konchu knocked me over while I had fully charged my attack about to do spinny boi move and was knocked over by Konchu and it sends me into a blind rage so I go on a Konchu killing spree
I like the way your list is so different from mine because of the weapons we use xD as a gunner we have different problems which shows how diverse MH can be just from the weapons
Subspecies are suposed to be challenging twists to throw you off in battle such as basarios expecting sleep so you bring energy drinks just to be poisoned. Subspecies are called SUB SPECIES not COMPLETELY DIFFERENT MONSTER. on sand barioth you said you hate it because it uses projectiles more even though you said subspecies shouldnt be really similar to the original.
You say there's practically none or almost nothing that's different with the subspecies... the looks mean nothing, the important thing that the subspecies give is different armour skills
I thought of that, but I decided that I didn't want to base a subspecies on being good or bad based off of its weapons and armor. I want it to solely be based off of how different its fight is compared to the original.
Gravios is my secound favourite Monster in the series :3 Still prefer the looks of the normal one. But about the lore: Where do they originate from? Im curios now...
TheMisticSlayer for what reason? As soon as world comes out in January he'd have to make another video, and then when the next spinoff game like double cross comes out he'd have to update it again
Wait till a current game is out like world then ask him to do that. Also it would help to specify which game although it's pointless for him to do 3u, 4u, and gen with world so close.
Am I the only person who absolutely loves how Ryan gives his own opinions and doesn't care? I hold immense amounts of respect for any TH-camr like that. Not just going along with what's socially accepted as popular is a sure-fire way to earn a sub from me. I probably should have written a comment like this back when I did sub to him instead of now, but eh, I was feeling lazy. Gonna keep watching out for those MHGen livestreams, Ryan! Still anxiously waiting to actually get into the hub. Also, I personally would place Rathalos as one of my favorite monsters. Not high on the list, but still there. That's just me though I think it's really cool.
Whenever I make these videos, I don't want to make a list that everyone else makes, meaning pretty much have all the same monsters that someone else has or put monsters on there that I don't think deserve to be on there, even if they are monsters that everyone hate. I really appreciate that you my videos and my live streams. That means a lot to me and I hope that you will enjoy the videos to come! Also what do you like about the rathalos? Just curious
That's what I love about your videos. I watch Pokemon top 10's a lot, and whether its favorite Pokemon or least favorite Pokemon, most of them have either a lot or a handful of the same Pokemon. Even if it's only a handful, though, it's still really tiring hearing about the same ones over and over. So whenever I find a TH-camr with unique opinions, it makes me very happy. As for Rathalos, it's kind of personal reasons I suppose? I'm a very creative person who enjoys writing, and most of my writing is done with either fanfictions or on this one online role-playing site. My main RP character is a half-dragon woman (actually where I get my username from; her name's Rain Tanaka) who's covered in red scales and works with magic that has the elements of fire and poison. She was created before I got into Monster Hunter, so when I found out there was a monster that was a red dragon that used fire and poison, I just thought it was really neat. On top of that, I just like its design. I can agree that Rathalos can get rather annoying to fight though. I don't know how many times I've been caught by a roar then blasted with fire before I could recover enough to get out of the way.
TheMisticSlayer seems like you main hammer a lot. Maybe that's why some fights are harder because of the hammers disadvantages. you might need to use different weapons for different fights.
Try bringing Honey and combine with your Potions when you run out of Mega Potions. If you still think you'll need more healing bring an Herb and Blue Mushroom to create Potions. From my experience the moment you are combining for Potions the monster is usually ready to die. Maybe even substitute Herb for Antidote Herb if you think you need more Antidotes.
Cheap attacks is one reason you might hate a monster, but if one thing is for sure, you hate a monster even more than the one you talk about more than likely because you triple-cart and run outta time
kinda wondering if if that was just a reference or if it was a hit a game theory? Also I'd comment more on the video but I usually get too into it and leave you with 3 paragraphs to read so I'll keep it simple this time around. #1 I liked the video first when I saw Sand Barioth on this list cus I can relate so much to that. #2 your #1 story sounds almost exactly how I felt when first coming into high in 4U and had to deal with the f***ing Hermituar, I personally talk to you about that later. #3 I never thought someone would describe #1's color scheme exactly like me after all these years! Thank you and awesome list Ryan, I can especially respect that you put some of these here for more personal reasons this time around. Also thank you for actually pointing out that there's actually a piss poor difference between the congalas
I am glad that you enjoyed the list! And I will let you guess if I was referencing or bashing Game Theory. And yeah that pisses me off so much that it is called Purple Ludroth, when it is clearly pink.
I hate all the Rathalos subspecies. Fuck them all. Azure Rathalos should had never been a thing. Ruby Gravios I can definitely agree with and you can tell Capcom got lazy with this one.
+The Grave Departure What kind of logic is that? That's like saying if nobody liked the Tigrex and wasn't really that well-received of a monster by fans, Capcom should stop the series. Sales determine that not a flagship monster.
Good list but just one complaint. You say the the Gyperos is has no change in it's color scheme by saying that it is already purple. The thing is that the Gypseros uses grayish-blues and orange while the Purple Gypseros is more purple and green.
I'm confused or just completely stupid but he said giving them a different look and new moveset doesn't make them a subspecies? Well wat do u want them to do make a new species?
Why dose everyone forgett about the Clusterfuck what is named Blue Yian Kut ku? 4:30 I think the Crystalattack is a nice implimitation. And Basarios isnt a ripp of, its a Baby. It was ment too make Gravios more intimidating. 12:00 I was thinking about Plesioth in General, and come too a solution. The Guy is annoying, because he had not enough Moves. If you give him more Moves, he will stop spamming Hipchecks, and Tailswipes. This can be realy interesting. Maybe a tribble Sleepbite, ore a slow Whaterbeam, what swipes over the entire Area. A weaker Whaterbeam, what didnt change directions, a normal Bite, whitout Sleep, but a little more range, and a Charge, what isnt a Fishstruggle. 26:50 realy nothing? Because I fought the G-Rank Version right after the normal, also a G-Rank Version, and his Fight feels a lot different. Hes more aggressive, his Electric Field didnt expand, after the second Attack, like Khezus, and he fires his Electric Ball under him, instead of his Front. Also I love the Idea, of his Visual Bloodstreams.
There is actually a good reason to Red Khezu being just like normal Khezu. Its actually the normal color of Khezu but unlike most animals in our qorld were albino is a rare trait, for Khezu its actually very common so finding a Khezu that is its natural color of red is rare. Yes Khezu and Red Khezu are the same just one is albino.
I think you may have reverse colourblindness. Regular Gypceros isn't purple, it's grey. I mean, Purple Gypceros does look very similar to normal Gypceros, but that's because it's a greyish sort of purple. But good list. To be honest I think my own least favourite subspecies is either Silver Rathalos, Furious Rajang (technically a variant but whatever) or Red Khezu. Brute Tigrex is awful too, which is a shame because I really like regular and Molten Tigrex.
Complained that the Plesioth (a fish) doesn't come outta the water, while it's clearly made to be an underwater fight.... like Lagiacrus. "Oh noes, the poison! Oh noes, it's hard to fight! Oh noes, I can't lure this monster to a place, where I can fight it easier!" Yeah, I think I've seen enough of this channel... xD Oh yeah... poison resisting skills are a thing in this games for a good reason.
Also normal Poison isnt what big of a deal. Most of the Time, I didnt even bother whit Antidore. Sure if you had enough space too heal saft, you sould bring Antidotes, but still. Fight, go and heal, and fight. This works well.
You didn't mention that the purple gypceros can also feign being slept, and exhausted (that might not be accurate, and I think there's one other thing it can feign). And, just to point out something you may not have known, is that you can get armor that completely negates poison.
He is just bad, I legit didn’t even eat, and beat the purple Ludroth without getting poisoned, it’s not a monster that should be hated it’s a good monster
Lagi personally the purple ludroth looks way better than the normal one and it resembles a proteus and he was really fun to fight because he was the transition monster from low rank to high rank
I make it my duty to let you know I think rathalos doesn't deserve the treatment you give it......even though it's your opinion , I feel like some monsters on this list aren't as bad as silver , but otherwise great video and it's well put together
Here's a way to pass time: Look at the comments and count how many people whine about the Basarios/Gravios mention. It takes a special person to see how many comments already mention Basarios/Gravios and STILL decide to comment about it
It really confused me how you didn't put a Rathalos subspecies on here. Maybe Azure and Silver did something the original didn't. Am I missing something?
I don’t understand the hate for plesioth, in all fights I’ve ever had with them, including the ones in 3U, it was a challenging fight but didn’t show any unfairness, rarely went into the water, had a good fighting pattern, and most importantly I never was a victim of the apparent horrendous hit box. Does that make me lucky or something?
Can't wait for the top ten deviants, however I'm not sure if were getting Monster Hunter Double Cross for the west (fingers crossed), I think there worth talking about because there guarantied to be different from the original. (Although I'm sure you'll HATE Dreadqueen Rathian and Dreadking Rathalos because of your top ten least favorite monsters list). I only fought Redhelm Arzuros and Hellblade Glavenus so far and got my ass kick. Not so much from Redhelm, but the timer ran out just when it was limping (why is there a timer anyway?) and with Hellblade Glavenus I knew from going in to the fight I knew I would get my ass kicked, but I lasted fifteen minuets against it. Not bad for my first try.
Uhh... It's pretty easy to tell which Poison Spin that Rathian does. She sort of twists her body when she does the figure 8 spin which she doesn't do with the normal spin
Okay, I'm just going to say that, having only fought each monster in 3U around 4-6 times, the Duramboros is the easiest Brute Wyvern fight. It has really obvious tells, and doesn't deal a ton of damage unless it hits you with the jump-- which it should never hit you with if you have a reaction time better than a potato. It can't combo you like a Flying Wyvern could, and it's health pool isn't as massive as you're making it seem. My fights with it never lasted more than 25 minutes.
Calling Basarios a ripoff Gravios isn't fair; Basarios is a literally a baby Gravios, so of course it'll act similar.

Short summary of the list in my eyes and my opinion:
10: I agree that the Ruby Basarios is a bad subspecies, and that it adds little to no detail to the fight, except the poison.
When it comes to his number 1, I just think to myself "Get good and it won't be the worst" since it isn't the worst, not good but not the worst.
bosarios is not a clone, it's the baby version of Gravios, do your research, the reason the two fight the same, is because they're the same monster in different points in life
True. And I prefer Basarios over Gravios, and Ruby B. is a lame subspecies, but Black G. really SUCKS
The pronunciation on Rathian bothers me.
Sounds like he’s saying “rethiaan”
Jaxon all of his pronounciations are horrible, yeah.
I agree
I used to say it like that lol
Ah yes “Wraithian”
Basarios is literally baby gravios
Sep651 he’s too fucking stupid to notice
second that... the baby Basarios part I mean
... not the insulting people because they apparently don't want to accept the 'Baby Gravios' fact part
It’s the female version of gravios
Stupids
_'A large wyvern found in volcanic areas. They are the __*__juvenile_*_ form of the Gravios. They have a rock-like carapace that requires powerful weapons to crack. It emits poisonous gases.'_
SRSLY BRA... check your facts, before making a fool of yourself....
[ monsterhunter.wikia.com/wiki/Basarios_Ecology ]
Um, yeah, I have a few nitpicks with this video:
RogueOmega actually the blue yian kut ku gets a new attack where it jumps into the air and smashes its beak into the ground multiple times. other than that, yeah, you're right
Really? I can SWEAR I had the regular Kut-Ku use that same attack on me in G-rank Expeditions...
Samuel L. Jackson reference in the comment?
Doesn't blue yian also use kochu as bowling balls?
Z.D.F From what I remember yeah. That was pretty funny.
i kinda like the emerald congalala. He brings a new threat, and a sort of different attack pattern. His mushroom eating mechanic bring a new challenge, its a well thought attack and i really like it. its a different challenge than the congalala. i think its an okay subspecies. my only complaint is that it dies too easily
WhyYouReading MyUserName???
to add another positive thing, it has different elemental weakness... if I remember well.
@Mattia Berti so has red khezu and almost nobody likes him
Infernalicon
sad but true... Well almost true... I like it, it is in my top 10 subspecies.
WhyYouReading MyUserName???
I only dislike him bc he's a congalala, I would say weaker bc with full gog armor and great sword fully upgraded it took 2 tries on a high rank normal congalala, but emerald I did with worse and MUDERED HIS ASS
Well isn't Basarios a juvenile Gravios?
Rektious Gaming yup
Indeed.
You complain about Basarios (Ruby) but not black gravios. You do know that the Basarios is a young Gravios right?
Its like Gravios, but whit more Laser. And he use constantly his Firedust when he uses Missils.
Realy annoying Fight in G-Rank.
Sunaki1000 he doesn’t have missiles or a lava beam, wtf r u talking about...
@@rbrachy2518 he has both. I think one is grank exclusive. Did you fight gravios?
Tyler yeah
Wait we’re talking about basarios right
The way he says rathian makes me want to die also how he doesn't know the difference between a subspecies and a variant like gravios and basarios
Couldn’t he just use armor that makes you immune to poison, when dealing with the purple ludroth?
Wait, isn't purple gypceros actually purple unlike normal which is a grey version?
Never mind, seems like future monster hunter fucked the colour palette
In Red Khezu’s defense my Red Khezu in MH stories saved my life so many times
Isn't basoriors a young gravious? I've heard that before.
Corey Gourley yeah it's the baby!
basarios isnt a ripe off of gravios..... its a juvenile gravios....... of course they'll fight the same BECAUSE THEY ARE THE SAME MONSTER JUST A BABY VERSION OF THE GRAVIOS.
The dude doesn’t do his homework we all know this
This was stupid from him.
Ever since mid low rank, I never had trouble with poison, because I made the wroggi armor.
It is a fanastic armor for low and high rank.
Redleapard: duramboros is a pain to fight
Cotten: so you have chosen death
I know it's your opinion, but this is basically based off real life. IRL, animals and insects evolve to develop new and different traits, all of which are to help it survive. While most of these evolutions are not massive, game changing differences, it evolved in that specific way just to let it live in the areas that they inhabit. These monsters that have the "Basarios syndrome" are no different.
Deviants are monster that involve and change based on their environment and previous battles. Subspecies are are different type of monster all together. For example, there a tons of different types of spiders. Each one of these different types of spiders are subspecies.
Kin he's right about that
Deviants are monsters that changed in life, subspecies are monsters that evolved there is a stark difference what kin is saying is that monsters that are evolutions of other monsters in real life would be similar to the others not completely different
@@RedLeopardVideos If I remember correctly the Japanese Name of Deviants are "Veterans". Older Monsters who survived Fights whit Hunters, malformations, ore attacks from Predators, and grow from the experience.
I, on the other hand, LOVED the purple Ludroth.
but yes, it is pink.
Purple ludroth é muito lindo
wait a second, that clip of the green plesioth is invalid, you can fight it in water
I apologize for asking, but what armor set were you wearing in the first reenactment kill of the sand Barioth and the purple Ludroth fight?
:>
(I apologize again, please be more gentle with your arguments...)
Also, gotta love those broken plesioth hipchecks :D.
Seems these are the monster that got you seeing "red" eh Leopard?
purple* XD
Infernalicon fucktard
No. We don't do puns about annoying MH monsters
I've been waiting for this one, also for number 8 i had seen that monster before and had been wondering what that was.
I dunno. I feel like Capcom totally nailed its design.
my thoery is a khezu is a de-feathered, beheaded, electrocuted chicken that came back alive off the factory line.
Just one problem....THEY DIDNT ADD A THEME I MEAN EVEN GIGGINOX HAS ONE....I think
I like khezu tbh 😂 it's like my 2nd fave monster
i think they left out a music theme for khezu so it could creep up on people and shriek at them!
Well I actually love the khezu
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't red khezu originaly have a strechier neck? Wasn't it originaly the only version of this monster that had the super long neck attack? Maybe that was just my luck in FU but I don't think I've ever seen a standard khezu do that in that game.
I love how he says this list is not based on difficulty and then starts saying how he hates sand bariot attack
An annoying does not equal a hard one
“Raythian” god, this aged well.
I still read it as “Raythian” and then have to correct myself lol.
Ruby Basarios is one of the prettiest, loveliest subspecies ever!
You actually know that Basarios are young gravios, right?
No I didn't
I don’t think he knows that the giggonox and Khezu are meant to be ugly
i guess he does not know that there was once a time when the subspecies only differed in appearance and damage output ,talking about MHF unite : Pink rathian was a total push over back then and had no different moves the same goes for purple Gypceros
I really Really REALLY like the baleful gigginox!!!!! I find the right fun but I understand why you don't like him.
I was anticipating the royal ludroth the entire time because i watched your top 10 worst monster hunter monsters video! I was even getting a little worried...and for once, I can actually agree with somebody's opinion! Nice vid bro!👍👌
*after listening to sand barioth rant.
Just git gud
If the purple ludroth keeps giving you poison problems, just get the negate poison ability
Anyway just my opinions, nice videos ;)
Edit: sources confirms that Red Khezu is the original one, the White regular one is an albin.
Yes I thought Blue kutku was number 1 but I chose Ludroth instead.
if you fight blue yian kutku in mh4u g rank it is actually pretty fun...Kind of unpredictable moves but not as cheap as garuga beak spam
Infernalicon
never said it wasn't fun to fight... simply I don't like it as a subspecies.
What was the Red Khezu theory?
ThatGuyWithTheTripod Well it is a little bit long with proofs and stuff like that.
But I'll sum up it.
The Red Khezu is an albin.
The theory suggest that Khezu's skin is like our eyes; an albin has red eyes because there isn't anymore the colour and we see the blood.
Same thing for Red Khezu... without its white colour we can see its blood beneath its skin.
+ it explain why its gameplay is almost litteraly the same... It is just a normal albin khezu.
I like the red khezu personally as I like the moves where you have to watch your surroundings it makes it feel that much more real
Konchu should be number 1
HappiestSadGuy I was fighting kecha watcha and konchus swarmed me and I failed the mission, now I hate both the kecha watcha and the konchu
HappiestSadGuy I want you to read the title of the video then decide on whether your comment belongs here or not
One note about the rock boi from the first entry, he’s much better in rise and its armor is incredible. Like I’m still using it in late game
but why do you hate Purple Ludroth so much? You have its armor and your favourite colour is Purple
He hates the fight. Cmon look at it. Its not purple. Its pink.
Aku ! no its purple possible velvet but not pink
Afu Fawu Because one of his subscribers made him farm purple ludroth
I know that, I saw the stream when Chase donated 100$
because its more dumb than a sack of rocks
I like the way your list is so different from mine because of the weapons we use xD as a gunner we have different problems which shows how diverse MH can be just from the weapons
Subspecies are suposed to be challenging twists to throw you off in battle such as basarios expecting sleep so you bring energy drinks just to be poisoned.
Subspecies are called SUB SPECIES not COMPLETELY DIFFERENT MONSTER.
on sand barioth you said you hate it because it uses projectiles more even though you said subspecies shouldnt be really similar to the original.
Agreed
He is pretty damn hippocritical
Don Andersen Hypocritical*
You say there's practically none or almost nothing that's different with the subspecies... the looks mean nothing, the important thing that the subspecies give is different armour skills
I thought of that, but I decided that I didn't want to base a subspecies on being good or bad based off of its weapons and armor. I want it to solely be based off of how different its fight is compared to the original.
i kinda did miss the black gravios /:
Isaac nobel
yeah... I love that big black thing; especially its lore.
Same here honestly.
there are worse things than black gravios....like steel uragaan
agree that stupid effect that it uses
Gravios is my secound favourite Monster in the series :3
Still prefer the looks of the normal one.
But about the lore: Where do they originate from? Im curios now...
THANK YOU FOR INCLUDING BARIOTH I HATE BOTH VERSIONS!!!!!
Red Leapord plz make top ten hammers like if u agree
TheMisticSlayer for what reason? As soon as world comes out in January he'd have to make another video, and then when the next spinoff game like double cross comes out he'd have to update it again
Wait till a current game is out like world then ask him to do that. Also it would help to specify which game although it's pointless for him to do 3u, 4u, and gen with world so close.
TheMisticSlayer I guess it would be good if he made one😏
TheMisticSlayer i
Seltas Crimson Fatalis and Brachydios. The Rest is not worth mentioning.
You said rathian wrong
Basarios is fought before Gravios in Monster Hunter 1 so Gravios is actually the clone bro
Oh ryan! This monster is a joke! I can solo it in 3 minutes!
Ryan! You probably hate this monster because you suck at Monster Hunter!!!
dude. its a joke. did you even finish the video???
WhyYouReading MyUsername??? Dont listen to this fangirl, little kid didn't even finish the video talking shit.
Thanks bro
TheAmazingDoge's Memes instant death
you know the purple gypceros has a different secondary color scheme being green on its neck.
Fire Baroth, Steel Duramboros, Emerald Basorios? Like if you disagree. I hope RedLeapord Likes
There is your like
thx bro
TheMisticSlayer How about Diamond Basarios
Isn't there a basarios in the desert?
TheMisticSlayer seems like you main hammer a lot. Maybe that's why some fights are harder because of the hammers disadvantages. you might need to use different weapons for different fights.
Try bringing Honey and combine with your Potions when you run out of Mega Potions.
If you still think you'll need more healing bring an Herb and Blue Mushroom to create Potions.
From my experience the moment you are combining for Potions the monster is usually ready to die.
Maybe even substitute Herb for Antidote Herb if you think you need more Antidotes.
for all of you plesioth haters here's a tip, GET A GUN AND USE THUNDER S or whatever it's weak to.
Thunder dual blades, long sword, greatsword, lance and sns (along with ranged weapons) make the plesioth a joke
Normal 3 obliterates anything underwater, Plesioth especially, becomes sushi pretty much instantly.
You can only hate plesioth if you use Hammer, his complaints of this Monster for me arent valid
What's the music that plays during the Purple Ludroth
Cheap attacks is one reason you might hate a monster, but if one thing is for sure, you hate a monster even more than the one you talk about more than likely because you triple-cart and run outta time
Hello Savage Deviljho.
kinda wondering if if that was just a reference or if it was a hit a game theory?
Well at least it's not "Emerald"
Uhm the purple gypsaros has a green tail and neck and is a different shade of purple and shiny giengar is now more of a light blue silver
it makes NO difference (- _ -)
Purple ludroth is bae ✊️✊️💦🍆 plus lots of its attacks aren't poisoning
I hate all the Rathalos subspecies. Fuck them all. Azure Rathalos should had never been a thing. Ruby Gravios I can definitely agree with and you can tell Capcom got lazy with this one.
Azure Rathalos was the flagship monster of MHG so if Azure didn't happen, the other games probably wouldn't.
+The Grave Departure What kind of logic is that? That's like saying if nobody liked the Tigrex and wasn't really that well-received of a monster by fans, Capcom should stop the series. Sales determine that not a flagship monster.
Its MH logic... WTF am I talking about?
But yeah anyways, they should have made Yian Garuga the flagship instead.
Don't forget dreadking rathalos... that thing is disgusting haha
Good list but just one complaint.
You say the the Gyperos is has no change in it's color scheme by saying that it is already purple. The thing is that the Gypseros uses grayish-blues and orange while the Purple Gypseros is more purple and green.
But of course Red Khezu is in the thumbnail
I'm confused or just completely stupid but he said giving them a different look and new moveset doesn't make them a subspecies? Well wat do u want them to do make a new species?
the khezu does have a theme
Marc Davidson look up a glint in the eye
Glint in the eye is the spotted theme.
no I dose NOT
Why dose everyone forgett about the Clusterfuck what is named Blue Yian Kut ku?
Man you better stop making those top lists because you get a lot of hates I know it because I do most of them
Yes he got 10 hates
lol
I thought you were going to put the Oroshi Kirin on the list :/ (It's quite cool looking though, i want to fight it :O)
i love the fight music against red khezu such good music in mh4u
Edit: its a joke
I mean you're not wrong
There's music?
MaractusThe Caucus no man that's the joke
husky 247 I honestly look up Khezu theme all the time
Please put me on r/wooosh please.
Why did I watch this video 3 times?
GGA 0 because you have short memorie
sad to be a fish
Avaricos...wait did I watch this video 3 times?
Oh noes, I can't lure this monster to a place, where I can fight it easier!"
Yeah, I think I've seen enough of this channel... xD
Oh yeah... poison resisting skills are a thing in this games for a good reason.
Purple Ludroth beat his ass so he calls it bad design;)
it is a bad design
no it's not
He is just bad, I legit didn’t even eat, and beat the purple Ludroth without getting poisoned, it’s not a monster that should be hated it’s a good monster
Lagi personally the purple ludroth looks way better than the normal one and it resembles a proteus and he was really fun to fight because he was the transition monster from low rank to high rank
we've waited so long for this. thanks ryan
I make it my duty to let you know I think rathalos doesn't deserve the treatment you give it......even though it's your opinion , I feel like some monsters on this list aren't as bad as silver , but otherwise great video and it's well put together
Thank you. I know that a lot of people really enjoy the Rathalos, but I still think that it is a really annoying monsters.
RedLeopardVideos I understand
fisher jamin probably because you neex to carry a million flashes or it wont stop flying and thats a nightmare for a hammer user
Derpy Derp while I don't main hammer anymore , purse bop + was bae in mhfu and rath became a peace of cake , rathian was a joke too
Here's a way to pass time:
Look at the comments and count how many people whine about the Basarios/Gravios mention.
It takes a special person to see how many comments already mention Basarios/Gravios and STILL decide to comment about it
Great Mama Jagras ikr
I actually really like duramboros.
It really confused me how you didn't put a Rathalos subspecies on here. Maybe Azure and Silver did something the original didn't. Am I missing something?
casey helm Silver was easy, but azure was a pain in the rear. Not waiting for the gold and silver update on World...
Khezu=BEST THEME EVER!😂
Hell yeah
Totally not sarcastic
Original joke, is original :v
The Baleful Gigginox is pure evil
Also, the pigment in the Normal Gypceros hide is not purple, it's Grey.
I killed the purple gypceros by my self it was challenging but i killed it
I kinda like the purple gypceros
Demon Pikachu congratulations, now go to mhfu and Hunt 3 of this fuckers at the Same Time in g-rank
What is the armor that your wearing, the black dog one
Dr. Bowser MD. Goldbeard Ceadeus
14:54 I think the gigganox is related to khezu so that’s why gigganox has a electric subspecies
Anyone know what armor Ryan is using when he was fighting Emerald Congalala?
Tiddy armor
I could tear you to shreds with facts about these different subspecies
7:19 you really didn't face dreadqueen rathian
He couldnt even reach that level of play
What about ashen lao-shan lung? Its exactly the same monster just in a blue-grey colour
