(the wolf killed me). the camera spins and zooms out when you die and found out i was playing as a human. my point is, if what you said actually happens then it would mean to me an old dream come true (even if it would probably never happen, as you said).

For the concept of playing as a Monster, it may very obviously never happen for the entire risk of screwing over the series when it just became popular world wide. I like the idea that we're hunting the males becasue it's mating season and the males get viscious to ward off competitors. Basically; we blue-ball them.
Honestly to this day my favorite monster in both design, fight, and music is Valstrax hands down. The monster looks absolutely gorgeous in that metalic silver with the hints of black and red throughout its body and when broken the flaming dragon element face just adds to its level of anger. The fight itself feels like dance at times dodging its attacks, plus the level of creativity with its wings acting both as swords and gun hands for the dragon, and most importantly the red comet attack....seeing it launch up into the sky, circle, then dive bomb you at mach 2 just felt amazing (plus the minor detail of the music becoming muted with a ringing sound when it lands for a moment). Lastly the music...god i love that track, there's such an air of epic to it where it swells to this large point making you feel absolutely empowered with that large choir moment (and it feels absolutely amazing when that part kicks in during the red comet attack).
Honestly I hated it because I was a dumbass kid not knowing what builds are and used the rathalos set... you know the set that has like negative 15 dragon resist. Thankfully I barely beat it because rathalos sword and shield is fire ailment.
Yan Garuga was my bane and my favourite monster in MHF. I had to make it retreat 7 times before I was able to kill it. Because it was tied to some mythological deamon in folklore ^^ still my favourite armour design and weapons. Next to fatalis
Personally I prefer Gore Magala to Shagaru. Mainly for the design, the cape, the colour scheme, and the fact that it reminds me of Alien, one of my favourite movies. In terms of my favourite creature design, few creatures can match the sheer depth of Vaal Hazak and Zinogre imo. Overall though, my favourite monster across the board has to be Deviljho.
To me nothing can rival Gogmazios as my favorite monster from it's fight to it's build up to it's music, armor, legend, and design just checks all of my boxes for a perfect monster hunter "quarrel" and final boss monster. Also great video QG.
A neat detail that wasn't noted is that Mizutsune are usually peaceful creature, you're just fighting males caught up in the frenzy of mating season which, like with most creatures, has them become very territorial and aggressive. Edit: Misspelled 'males'.

They did it with several characters afterall, not just Ridley. The Rathalos in Ultimate is too big sure but Small Crown Rathalos are a thing so... it's possible I'd say.

My favorite has to be the Ahtal-Ka. She’s a giant golden mantis themed after an Egyptian pharaoh. It lives in the remains of stolen human fortresses and it’s the first insect final boss. What makes it so special is how it fights. It can throw webbing to ensnare you or grab a makeshift weapon from the scrapyard surrounding it. However that’s only phase one. The real meat of the battle comes when it pulls the rubble together to make a GIANT MECHA made out of stolen fortifications! No seriously!

Frontier has gauntlets and they're called tonfas. Not for us westerners sadly. But I'd be lying if I said they weren't satisfying as Hell to watch in action
I thought the bleed status drained your health if you so much as moved, not only when you use stamina. Also, has anyone else noticed that the Seregios actually has a fighting style and behavior that resembles the monster hunters themselves? A creature that goes after the apex predators of an area despite not being as tough as a lot of toehr monsters, and has an evasive fighting style where it wears down its prey over time with a whole lot of blades and ranged attacks.
I personally think the reason nergigante is also so successful with the gore magala formula is because to me nergi just feels like a more feral and beastly version of gore and by extension shagaru and not to mention I think they both have similar if not identical animation skeletons and they are also the closest to story recurring rivals in the specific story their in. This is before iceborne, in iceborne ruiner is easily tied with shagaru and gore as my favorite monsters, their just so badass
Watching these countdowns for Monster Hunter made me interested in Monster Hunter. and started Monster Hunter World two or one years ago and I didn't regret it! Monster Hunter ended being one of my new favorite game series and I'm looking foward to trying the other games in the future. Thanks for helping me get into the series 👍✌️
A trivia fact about Mizutsune for The Dime Man (joke name), that "soap" is mucus that it uses to create bubbles and (soulseer deviant) make its arms and tail softer while also making it able to give you bubbleblight with said soaped up arms and tail.
My most favorite monster is the Zinogre aka the "Super Saiyan Lightning Wolf" please let Tigrex's return in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne be a sign that the Zinogre will be coming back.
Hey quarter guy just wanted to let you know that there is such a weapon that are like gauntlets. You can have seen them in Monster Hunter Generations ultimate and they are called Pokke Mitts and they are dual blades. This weapon has the ice element and the cool thing is when you draw them out it sounds like a boxing bell. So now you CAN go toe-to-toe with the brachidios
I like Gammoth. They’re very underrated and I love their eye pattern and cyclops design, having that giant ivory shield on her head like an eye, like how when people first found Mammoth skeletons we thought the trunk hole was an eye socket. They’re bloody massive and I want to ride one around in Monster Hunter Stories 2. She’s got a decent theme and I’m biased because I like snow.

Well scythes are terrible weapons. Gaunlets on the other hand are easily great weapons if done correctly since hell you can grab the damn monsters horns from behind and potentially break them.
Gore magala is still my favorite flagship monster overall just in terms of it's overall presence, impact, fight, mechanics etc. I DO love the mizutsune as well, but more in the "can we please shrink it down and turn it into a pet?"
I remember the first time i did the gore magala: saving the elite hunters and going «wow, it's still so strong! Which monster will i ger to farm to up my gear enough?» and the next quest comes in, and i'm just here like «i'm not ready for this»

I remember battling the Jhen Monrah for the first time. It was so epic to me, and rare because in monster hunter tri everyone was a douchebag and nobody wanted to help.
Most of my friends and I have played MH at some point or other, and I can honestly say that Zinogre appears in all of our top tens. Sure, some of us like it more than others (personally it's in my top 3), but not one of us has a problem with it. Weird.

My two most favorite subspecies are the Stygian Zinogre cause what's better then an "SSJ Lightning Wolf" a "SSJ4 Lightning Wolf" and the Abyssal Lagacrius this jet-black female only subspecies to 3: Ultimate's flagship monster according to the lore is bigger and stronger then her male cousins basically making them look like little lizards there's a reason why she has the in-game lore nickname of Queen of the Deep and the fan-given nickname of Queen Abyss.
I think my favorite is either the dalamadur just for the sheer sense of scale and difficulty and my second favorite is the gigginox because it just looks cool it the simplest in appearance but it works.

It's funny that if you just run right around nergi with a light bow gun with no recoil, he can never hit you. Even the dive bomb misses without any effort

Would love another explosive element monster with Bazelgeuse. 4: Oh my, this guy is scary 3: Found Vaal Hazak to be my easiest elder dragon fight thanks to a fully upgraded Odogaron dual blades. 2: This beast is the asshole I did a presentation on how to beat it for my public speaking class. Remember there is a Arch Tempered version of the beast. 1: This guy is easily at my top 5
Seregios is pretty cool because it fights similarly to the hunters themselves. A relatively weaker creature that takes down apex predators through blades and long-range attacks that whittle down the enemy's health and stamina over time while evading attacks directed at it.

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate didn't introduce many new monsters (most were Deviants if anything), but I'd bet you'd love Valstrax and Ahtal-Ka. Valstrax, to quote ragegaming, is a rocket powered elder dragon, using a special fluid as fuel to allow it to fly at supersonic speeds. (And use dragon element attacks) It's fast and punishing, but I find it a pretty fair fight overall. Ahtal-Ka on the other hand is a *bug* that uses gathered materials to make a giant mech it uses as a throne. I will give one hint with Ahtal-Ka for your fight: the mech is one giant treasure trove, bring *LOTS* of pickaxes and prepare to go an a treasure hunt. Mining points everywhere when it's toppled. When the time comes for you to fight those two, I wish you the best of luck. Happy hunting! (I'd offer my help, but I have no reliable way of contact. :p)
I just started playing monster hunter 3 portable and got to say i fell in love again world got a little boring with its realism so going back to experience the old world was amazing. By the way playing switch axe any tips for what upgrade path til zino. Have a bone axe +.
I think they may not want to do gauntlets because Tokiden already beat them to it, and it may just seem like copying, but monster hunter has many clones of it, so who says Capcom can’t have “influenced” weapons with varied mechanics to the ones that they inspired. Only about 4 weapons are truly unique to monster hunter and those weapons are gunlance, insect glaive, switch axe, and charge blade.
Bro nergigante brings the balance to the ecosystem. He is literally natures checks and balanced, he helped zorah to get to xeno so he could blow that abomination up.

Frontier has gauntlets and they're called tonfas. Not for us westerners sadly. But I'd be lying if I said they weren't satisfying as Hell to watch in action

Also, has anyone else noticed that the Seregios actually has a fighting style and behavior that resembles the monster hunters themselves?
A creature that goes after the apex predators of an area despite not being as tough as a lot of toehr monsters, and has an evasive fighting style where it wears down its prey over time with a whole lot of blades and ranged attacks.
I personally think the reason nergigante is also so successful with the gore magala formula is because to me nergi just feels like a more feral and beastly version of gore and by extension shagaru and not to mention I think they both have similar if not identical animation skeletons and they are also the closest to story recurring rivals in the specific story their in. This is before iceborne, in iceborne ruiner is easily tied with shagaru and gore as my favorite monsters, their just so badass

Watching these countdowns for Monster Hunter made me interested in Monster Hunter. and started Monster Hunter World two or one years ago and I didn't regret it! A trivia fact about Mizutsune for The Dime Man (joke name), that "soap" is mucus that it uses to create bubbles and (soulseer deviant) make its arms and tail softer while also making it able to give you bubbleblight with said soaped up arms and tail.

Hey quarter guy just wanted to let you know that there is such a weapon that are like gauntlets. You can have seen them in Monster Hunter Generations ultimate and they are called Pokke Mitts and they are dual blades. This weapon has the ice element and the cool thing is when you draw them out it sounds like a boxing bell. So now you CAN go toe-to-toe with the brachidios

I like Gammoth. They’re very underrated and I love their eye pattern and cyclops design, having that giant ivory shield on her head like an eye, like how when people first found Mammoth skeletons we thought the trunk hole was an eye socket. They’re bloody massive and I want to ride one around in Monster Hunter Stories 2. She’s got a decent theme and I’m biased because I like snow.
Monster Hunter sorta has gauntlets in Tonfas but those are Japanese exclusive

Shargaru/gore magala is also my favorite monster with the rivalry that grows with you, and the beast, giving the ending such a bitter sweet feeling

Well scythes are terrible weapons.
Gaunlets on the other hand are easily great weapons if done correctly since hell you can grab the damn monsters horns from behind and potentially break them.

Gore magala is still my favorite flagship monster overall just in terms of it's overall presence, impact, fight, mechanics etc. I DO love the mizutsune as well, but more in the "can we please shrink it down and turn it into a pet?"

I remember the first time i did the gore magala: saving the elite hunters and going «wow, it's still so strong! Which monster will i ger to farm to up my gear enough?» and the next quest comes in, and i'm just here like «i'm not ready for this»

Most of my friends and I have played MH at some point or other, and I can honestly say that Zinogre appears in all of our top tens. Sure, some of us like it more than others (personally it's in my top 3), but not one of us has a problem with it. Weird.
10:47 believe it or not, quarterguy, Bandai Namco almost beat capcom to the punch in god eater three as the heavy moon weapon was going to be gauntlets for the god eaters. That is until they scrapped the idea and put in the ring weapon that can become an chainsaw axe instead.

That expansion can't come sooner. And I hope the weapon and armor storage cap gets significantly increased in said expansion. That's my biggest gripe with World. The weapon and armor storage is too small.

My two most favorite subspecies are the Stygian Zinogre cause what's better then an "SSJ Lightning Wolf" a "SSJ4 Lightning Wolf" and the Abyssal Lagacrius this jet-black female only subspecies to 3: Ultimate's flagship monster according to the lore is bigger and stronger then her male cousins basically making them look like little lizards there's a reason why she has the in-game lore nickname of Queen of the Deep and the fan-given nickname of Queen Abyss.

I think my favorite is either the dalamadur just for the sheer sense of scale and difficulty and my second favorite is the gigginox because it just looks cool it the simplest in appearance but it works.

Oh hey The Quarter Guy just to let you know on a sidenote the Nergigante maybe an Elder Dragon that literally eats other Elder Dragons but an interesting note on this Extinction Dragon from Iceborn is that it's like The Legendary Godzilla it's the Agent of Balance maintaining order of the new world & keeping other Elder Dragons & Monsters in check if one of them goes rouge.

I was hoping the Plague Dragon would make it on the list and I am over joyed to see it made number one! As the flagship monster of my first MH game, I hold the dragon close to my heart. I love him.
It's funny that if you just run right around nergi with a light bow gun with no recoil, he can never hit you. Even the dive bomb misses without any effort

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate didn't introduce many new monsters (most were Deviants if anything), but I'd bet you'd love Valstrax and Ahtal-Ka.
Valstrax, to quote ragegaming, is a rocket powered elder dragon, using a special fluid as fuel to allow it to fly at supersonic speeds. (And use dragon element attacks) It's fast and punishing, but I find it a pretty fair fight overall.
Ahtal-Ka on the other hand is a *bug* that uses gathered materials to make a giant mech it uses as a throne. I will give one hint with Ahtal-Ka for your fight: the mech is one giant treasure trove, bring *LOTS* of pickaxes and prepare to go an a treasure hunt. Mining points everywhere when it's toppled.

No joke, It wasn't for a long time that i learned the mizutsune had a water cannon. you could imagine my reaction when it nearly killed me.
I just started playing monster hunter 3 portable and got to say i fell in love again world got a little boring with its realism so going back to experience the old world was amazing. By the way playing switch axe any tips for what upgrade path til zino. Have a bone axe +.
I think they may not want to do gauntlets because Tokiden already beat them to it, and it may just seem like copying, but monster hunter has many clones of it, so who says Capcom can’t have “influenced” weapons with varied mechanics to the ones that they inspired. Only about 4 weapons are truly unique to monster hunter and those weapons are gunlance, insect glaive, switch axe, and charge blade.
Bro nergigante brings the balance to the ecosystem. He is literally natures checks and balanced, he helped zorah to get to xeno so he could blow that abomination up.
