This is a Steelheart song, from their third album I think (post-accident). The original version is slower and more melodic, while this version was made more catchy and aggressive to fit the style of the movie band; I gotta say both versions are amazing, each one with its own charm. Also, this was recorded by the band itself, cause in the movie Steel Dragon are played by Zakk Wylde, Jason Bonham and Jeff Pilson. They recorded the Dragon songs written specifically for the film (like Stand up and shout, written by your cousin Sammy) and did covers of other songs like Long live rock and roll by Ronnie James Dio. Jeff Scott Soto and Matijevic did the vocals for their parts (Soto sang for the original vocalist of Steel Dragon who got replaced by Mark Wahlberg's character).
