Hi! I discovered your channel by mistake and ended up listening to your video at lunch time while I was setting up my study planner for the rest of the week! haha I'm looking forward to your seeing more of your language endeavors while you're in China! This must definitely be making studying Chinese more exciting for you :)
Wow, you have a lot of exciting travel coming up! Best of luck with all of your goals! (even though selfishly I'm sad to see Korean go 😆) I agree that putting videos out there is a great way to give yourself accountability, as well as to build a community of people who also enjoy learning languages ☺ Having a place to talk about these things makes it much easier to stay motivated
Being able to read at a high level is a major achievement. There’s a difference between sounding out words in Korean and understanding the text. I don’t agree that listening is more important. They’re just as important. I find they build off of each other as well.
3:32 I do recommend you to start watching kdrama if u don't in the meantime while u delay the learning process, cuz it helps so much to get familiar with the language and also to understand easily and quickly the daily talks and expressions like asking for food or simple talks
Great idea! I’m definitely going to try to film when I’m there a little (almost wondering if this channel could benefit from like a travel vlog/linguist progress mashup video), but I’m not sure how easy it’ll be to upload WHILE there? Will give it a go 😊

Korean will be back when I can give it the attention it deserves! (I’m sad too lol 😫) you’re totally right

I don’t know if this is feasible, but it would interesting to film a language goals discuss/update in China when you’re there.
