Very wise Man . And Jojo is still learning . And that is why he grows and keeps us inspired and keeps the Flame alive . Wonderful Artist

Not scripted, one question and he answers for what? 10 minutes or more. This is Jojo in nutshell. He wants to share as he knows that sharing and explaining is very good for the student as well as for the teacher, as the teacher learns tenfold from this.

I don't understand why people were on their cell phone while Jojo is playing. My eyes would be so glued to what he's doing. Jojo is so memorizing to watch.

I sometimes think Jojo turns to look at his drums when he's been asked a question like the kit is going to give him an answer - maybe it does....

From 14:45 mins... I think the best drum playing I have ever seen.. Incredible groove, fabulous kit sound. Unique, genius at work. He's playing fast but he has so much time seems easy.

Jojo and Benny have the best sounding kits so punchy and the snare have so much pop to it.

It's Sonor , man. They make amazing drums. Gavin Harrison also plays Sonor and his kit always sounds distinguishable.

Love Jojo and because I'm such a fan and devoid of his imagination (or his talent), I've set up my kit in a very similar fashion. It also works (the set up) for jazz, which is what I mostly play, but I also play his Nerve tunes and other EDM and works for me. But...I noticed that in 2019 he's raised his cymbals waaaay high like he has in this clinic. Does anyone know or has anyone heard him talk about why he raised them so high? Just wondering what his philosophy is. They seem waaay out of the way.

It feels more ergonomic imo, sometimes it just feels good to reach your arm a little more. Though, them being higher helps your shoulders sit evenly, as well as reducing cymbal bleed on any mics underneath them.

@@MegaMareQ thanks bruv! Study with one of JoJo's old teachers so I've found a lot of similarities between us lmao. (ofc no one is anyone but themselves, but man JoJo just speaks to me on a deep level.)

@@nosfy sounds like a real adventure. JoJo's understanding of life itself is so profound.. He just goes really deep, it's like from quantum world to the edge of the cosmos. and then he can alter so many things while playing a simple beat

I know this is a two year old comment, but this is something I started doing a while ago and wanted to share why from my perspective. I found when my cymbal was lower I my arm was going to where it wanted to go, then I had to move it down to meet the crash. I found I was losing power and using more energy than I really needed to make crash hits. So I moved it up a bit and now I'm hitting the crash at the sweet spot.
