I love doing handywork myself but I usually don't see too many women that do it. Most women I know can't even hang a picture or use a hammer. I'm so impressed by you because not only are you handy but your beautiful too. Your videos are so good. God bless you and continued success.

Omg! Thank you so much for your kind words! Really means a lot! I still have lots to learn when it comes to handiwork and other home repair, but everyday is a learning opportunity and I still love it! Anyway, thanks for stopping by!

I got a flat tire this week too, crazy. On my car the spare is under the car and theres a nut you unscrew to lower it. Took me like a half hour to bust it free because of the rust. Retighten the lugnuts after you drive for a bit

Woof, that does not sound easy to access. Hopefully I’ll remember to tighten again next time I get a flat lol. I’m praying I won’t have to worry about getting a flat for a while from now since I had to get all new tires again.

Nice video. I recently started a irrigation job and that stuff is absolutely brutal …. Pays out though

Idk anything about that stuff. Do you have to do a lot of digging?

Next time, go to the aisle with the tow straps etc. They have much beefier hardware items that would work for your swing project. The items in particular are for installing on trailers to secure cargo. They list the weight rating, with some being plenty sufficient for what you need. Also, I suggest using structural screws rather than carriage screws, as the latter are a much softer metal and the heads can sheer off easily. I have snapped the heads off when tightening them down, causing a nightmare job trying to extract the shaft. Spax is a brand at HD that have structural screws ( in the screw aisle).

Ohhhh good to know! I was stocking up on some 2” screws and picked up these nice gray ones in that green box. I was wondering why they were such good quality. Thank you! I’ll have to remember to check out that other section for more heavy duty hardware.

When I worked at home Depot many moons ago, I just randomly directed customers into aisles that didn't have what they needed just for kicks.
    True story.

Hahahahah that’s messed up! I’ve done that not on purpose but they usually never come back.

Heavy-Duty Wire Ring by husky. I used these, but smaller ones for hanging outdoor string lights. You can’t break them, but for swings I would consider blocking.

Ohhhh I just looked that up. That’s definitely better than one eyelet. Thank you!

If the joists are exposed you should use an eye lid lag bolt through the joist parallel with the floor. With a nut

Good to know! I ended up mounting it outside on a beam so I didn’t have to worry about finding a ceiling joist thankfully.

I've had to patch my tires 5 times in the last 3 months. I feel like a pro at it at this point.

I bet, god dang, that’s a lot of patches. Is it the tire that’s the problem, or the area you keep having to drive to?

Tv mounting is hard sometimes. Do you have someone help put it up once it’s on there? I hope your doing good enough financially. I have no idea your prices but don’t sell yourself short.

    • @ahandywomanandherdog
      @ahandywomanandherdog  ปีที่แล้ว

It is! But it’s usually pretty simple and I’m out of there quick. If the TV is 55” plus, I usually need someone to help me hook it onto the mount. And I do ok, financially. I’m definitely not starving haha and I really like the clientele that find my rate to be reasonable.

@@ahandywomanandherdog that is great. I’d definitely hire you to mount my tv I know you are professional. It’s bonkers what some people do . My new co worker spits his dip every where and listens to rap music without censoring in front of familys in there front yard
