    I used to have a mini van a Toyota sienna but it broke then I used a Subaru Impreza car and now I got the f150 because I had to be able to tow but I miss the gas mileage and the easy way to park the little car and people were always surprised how much stuff that a car can fit .

    I’ve tried taking a square sample from site to go match up at Home Depot, looked exact but once it got mixed and everything, it was just noticeable after applying it. I have a new profound respect for painters after that . And btw, when is sugar gonna get a small brother? He’s an only child

    • @ahandywomanandherdog
      @ahandywomanandherdog 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yeah, they can only match it so closely. Even if it’s the same can, with time and whatever else is happening in the room, it still sometimes won’t match. I learned that the hard way a couple months back. I totally agree with you on respecting painters though, that’s an art, even for those in the trades. And unfortunately not adopting another dog until Sugar passes. I can’t handle taking care of 2 dogs on my own. 😢

    Cans are very inconsistent but ive had the most luck with the single shot cans. Those craters you see is usually too much build up or too much pressure. Either way prime and 2 coats of paint help blend that out for me. Goodluck!

      you're so right, that last one actually made a bunch of pocks appear when I used it today. My work truck is a Honda Fit and it's everything I need. Forget about the van. Get a roof rack and you'll be amazed at the capacity it adds to your little car.

    • @ahandywomanandherdog
      @ahandywomanandherdog 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      someone recommended that to me too! Do you have a lock for the things you put on the roof rack? and that's awesome that you work out of a Honda Fit! Such a cute car!

    • @timbrelig4170
      @timbrelig4170 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      So when I strap the load down, I tie a slip knot into the loose end and close the door on it. This keeps the loose end from flapping, but effectively locks the load down, too. A thief would have to cut the straps. Mostly I'm hauling materials or maybe a ladder to a job. It's usually not just sitting around on the side of the road. And if someone wants to steal a door or some 2x4s or a couple sheets of plywood off the roof of my car, well.... ok, I guess? Opportunistic theft is stupidly common where I live, but it hasn't been an issue for me.

    • @ahandywomanandherdog
      @ahandywomanandherdog 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@timbrelig4170 that’s smart to close the door on the straps. I guess since it’s mostly materials, I’m sure it doesn’t look as appealing to thieves as tools or ladder. But yeah, a roof rack for large lumber would be so helpful.

    Detest pocket doors. Great if they work. I will never, Never, NEVER buy Dewalt again. Love Home Depot, Waaay over Lowes, for they sell wood trim by the linear foot. One of my customers gives me gift certificates to Home Depot for Christmas, and my B Day. I only buy Ryobi tools, Dewalt Batteries would only last me about 2 Years. Never yet, knock on wood, had any issues with any Ryobi batteries, and you can purchase Naked tools. with just the tool, and no batt. or charger. What a deal. I own 18volts, and a couple of 40 volts. The concept of task rabbit is great however i ran into two issues, 1. The actual app itself is garbage, I was in the middle of negotiating with a client to see what he needed to be done, but when i tried to click the tab to set a schedule it kept logging me off and kept saying that i needed to log in. Then it proceeds to say i have an incorrect username/password even after i tried resetting it. 2. I did 3 hours worth of moving work for a client and havent been paid yet. They say wait until friday well but nothing. If there were another app that i knew about I woudl definitely take it because they have small issues that turn into big issues when not taken care of. Im losing money because of it.

    I use the same caulk gun and I have many levels and utility knives from husky. I'm always told from box stores they only have a 90 day warranty until you have to go to husky directly. Called the husky warranty program and they've never called back once.. I'm glad it was easy for you, but it's a pain here.. It's like they intentionally don't call back on the callback program.. lol

      @@andrewbargo1 I didn’t even need to show proof of purchase. Just brought the old one back, maybe it depends on the employees at each HD . Sorry to hear it hasn’t been as easy on your end. Good to know though. Thanks!
