    This was a banger but that ending to the death we seek hits me deep.

      I think I pick The Death We Seek, but Vengeance is also crazy good.

    Chris Wiseman is absolutely brilliant guitarist in both his band Currents and Shadow of Intent (and in Our Eternity, but they only have 2 songs and it's more of an side project). I highly recommend checking out SoI. Their 2 first albums are deathcore with halo themed lyrics while the last 2 are more melodic/symphonic death metal. They are my two favourite bands and I love them so much. :D

    If you've been seeing people "say hey check out Shadow of Intent", one reason is not only are they a damm good band, but also cause Chris Wiseman, the guitarist of Currents is also the guitarist of Shadow of Intent. The man is a machine and at this point its hard to pin point which project is his "heavy" one and his "chill" one. Highly recommend doing a reaction to any of Shadow of Intents last 3 stellar records. :)

    • @evanblake5252
      @evanblake5252 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Neither Currents, nor SOI are chill. They just have different approaches to heavy. I'd say Shadow of Intent is generally heavier, though it remains to be seen how heavy the other stuff on this upcoming Currents album is, because I feel like between Vengeance and The Death We Seek, they have significantly upped the heaviness.

    I haven’t watched the whole video so idk if you felt the same but at minute 2:15 in the song (or minute 5:38 in your video) it’s basically Humanity’s Last Breath’s formula, with the chugs and tempo reminding me of HLB’s song Ocean Drinker. And I am not complaining. ❤
    Update: the whole song is definitely Meshuggah/HLB inspired and I can’t wait for the album.

    Everyone seems to be giving this song high praise, and I'm not saying it's horrible but The Death We Seek and most of the way it ends are far better tracks in my opinion at the very least.
    Could be the lack of a catchy chorus from Brian, But also by the end of it I even got tired of the riffs from Chris and he has to be my favourite guitarist/writer in metal.

    You MUST give Lorna Shore another run. The Pain Remains trilogy might truly be the most incredible music that I’ve ever heard, and it’s certainly the best thing that I’ve ever heard come out of Deathcore (but Lorna Shore is kind of its own genre at this point lol). It’s very different from To the Hellfire / Sun Eater.
