    Great review Roy. Ive just purchased the mini fumpa and did my own tests and had similar results to yourself, test 1: 4 road bike tyres to 100psi, and test 2: 3 MTB 29 inch tyres to 40psi. I know these are a little pricy, but you are correct in describing it as the Rolls Royce of mini electric pumps, so you are paying for a quality bit of kit. I did initially buy it as a bit of a novelty, but so far im really amazed at just how good it is.

    I just ordered my Fumpa mini and Tyre Pressure Guage, so I will report back when I have done my own test!

    I always believe in paying for quality, would sooner pay double for something that lasts than half the price and it breaks after a few uses, you used it on my bike on the ride to the woods, and it worked well after I must have got a puncture in my tubeless rear tyre, and lost too much air

    • @RideWithRoy
      @RideWithRoy  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, that was the first time I used it for real, Michael. As you will have realised, I tested it for a long time before making the review. On another occasion I came to the rescue with both the Tyre Glider and the Fumpa, so a double whammy 😀

    Looks like a great pump👍Have looked at some others but seems there’s a heat issue with most of them🤔Fumpa seemed to have overcome the problem with their design👍very informative Roy, thanks for the “heads up”😊

    Hello Roy - Your reviews are spot on and I purchased the pump and tire gauge. No discount code available when purchasing from the US, but that's ok. A belated thank you for your past review on the tyre glider. As we all age, our hand strength is not what it use to be. I very much appreciate your recommendations that makes life easier in a pinch. Have a terrific summer and look forward to your future videos. Cheers mate!

      Thank you - that’s the nicest comment I’ve ever had from an accountant 😀 The discount code should have worked but it’s only on the mini model I reviewed. I also understood it was on the tire gauge but they say the margins on the Nano and Gauge are too tight due to high costs. I wish you a super summer too, and thanks again.

      @@RideWithRoy My cost benefit analysis is - You have a nice dinner out with a companion which cost GBP 100. If everything goes well, you may even get lucky. Buy the pump, you have a companion for a life time. :D Cheers.

    Thanks for the review, Roy. I bought the large Fumpa Pump last year as I ride a Semi-Fat MTB (27.5" x 3" tyres) and was ridiculed by my friends when we set out on the King Alfred Way tour as they asked "What's wrong with a normal pump?"... The Fumpa was used on several occasions for my friends needs - all of them favouring using the Fumpa over their mini hand pumps. Many have now bought one having been very sceptical at the start.
    I have also been told that CO2 canisters can cause problems with latex on tubeless tyres, whereas the Fumpa would not have the same 'freezing' effect of the CO2?
    Worth noting that the connection to the valve head can get very hot - the body of the pump does not. This may affect those using TPU / Tubilito style inner tubes.

    • @RideWithRoy
      @RideWithRoy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for that great info, Gareth. In the additional tests video I linked at the end I did mention the hot nozzle as I hadn’t noticed it until later. Good point on tubeless as well. Some brands of sealant aren’t CO2 friendly.

      A bit sweeping to say ‘absolute rubbish’ Keith. The one thing it isn’t is ‘absolute.’ It very much depends on the country, airline, size and amount. Most people can get away with taking a couple of small ones in the hold baggage. Unless going to some remote outpost, probably easier to buy supplies at the destination.

    I am just wondering, if you can seat the tubeless tire with this little one, if so it would be actually really strong argument to buy one. Very good and interesting video as always thumbs up.

    • @RideWithRoy
      @RideWithRoy  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I experimented with it on a badly seating tyre and the mini Fumpa didn’t help at all. This is one occasion where Co2 would have popped it on instantly. I now use Schwalbe G-One Allround tyres that have Tubeless Easy Technology which enables fitting with a standard track pump or the Fumpa. Hopefully this tech will spread to other tubeless brands.

      I demonstrated how many inflations per charge in the video and a follow on. They claim two, but I got five on a 700Cx25 road tyre and four on a 700cx40 gravel tyre. They obviously claim only two to cater for those that want to go to the full 120psi. I would carry a pump in any case as I’m very belt and braces.
