Love the videos! just starting out myself. have 1 client for 10+ yrs I just started working nights and started buying equipment last year. Definitely crawling but I enjoy it and am hoping to get going soon. I would rather make the world more beautiful than destroying it and that's all part of lawn care and landscaping, you guys and others have inspired me!

thanks for sharing your journey. It took a lot of courage and hard work to walk away from the FT job but I'll bet your making more than 16 dollars an hour now. You deserve it. Geek to freak had a similar story and he is doing well. He doesn't shoot videos anymore but had a pretty good following. One thing that stuck with me was I believe it was him who made colored fliers with prices right on the flier. He would do a curbside estimate and hand the appropriate flier depending on price. I would think homeowners would respond pretty well to that tactic. Johnny mow has some useful info as well. It's great to hear all of your stories. thank you for making videos after a long day at work

I understand where you are coming from, wherever you originally worked I'm sure it was a great job, might had paid good "Most 12 hour a day jobs do" I started my own lawn care businesses recently. However whenever I was 14 I was mowing lawns for people, my next door neighbors my dad would drive me other places during the week, I was actually making insane money for my age at the time. I remember getting my first part time Minimum wage job and wondering how anyone could think that it was worth the money they were getting paid "I was making a 40hr minimum wage check in a total of like 6 hours or less of push mowing peoples yards and I was in-experienced lol.
The moral is if you're smart working for someone else sucks, because a majority of people running manufacturing plants a complete idiots that think they are highly educated. Spoiler, anyone who is highly educated has learned that working for someone else is a waste of time.
I've started my long road to being independent, however the pay off is insane, people where I live are driving around new trucks every year that are doing lawn care and I can see how. I've been push mowing yards once again and making a killing off of people. I normally just ask what the last guy did their yard for and I feel bad for all the old lady's, people where I live here in Arkansas are charging pretty much 450$ a acre with no obstruction, just for the lawn. So these old lady's with little lot yards that I can pretty much weed eat were paying like 75$ a week for lawn care. Lol I knocked it down to 65$. Easy money, I get a nice wake up call when I clock back into work.
Every single day I clock into work, I want to clock right back out and go grab more yards, however due to where I'm living and a couple of other things I need to stay with my company right now "No where to store 16-20ft trailer.
