So you booted the pc up into safe mode with networking at have no internet access while in safe mode? don't worry, I will show you step by step on fixing safe mode with networking no internet. After trying my quick fix, if you are still having no internet connection in safe mode with networking then make sure WLAN Service is running, make sure drivers for your network adaptor is installed and working.

Thanks... However, WiFi disappears in Safe Mode, leaving you only with Ethernet and the other options.
When I go to network and internet there are no available networks to show. I'm losing my mind right now.

What if the globe icon in logout screen pops up airplane mode? Only this option is available, completely no internet access.

The part at 3:35 doesn't work for me. Instead of seeing network options, there is a greyed-out square that says "airplane mode" and nothing else. Help!

At last someone has answered my prayers. I have been struggling to get this issue resolved since I moved to Windows 11 and when I Googled for this exact issue, you would not believe the responses I got, none of which worked and even some were somewhat shady and only tried to sell some software fix software so I gave up looking. You have given me the answer and it works a treat. Why Microsoft can't even be bothered offering a permanent fix for this issue is beyond me! When I asked some of the Microsoft forums it's as if this issue had never occurred or nobody had ever had the problem in the first place. 😇👍👍

I am trying to access wifi on Win 10 in safe mode on my desktop. When I go to the login screen and click on the internet icon, the only option I get is Airplane mode. I am not able to connect an ethernet cable to the router.
I have a Steam game that started crashing after a Steam update. They say it's not on their end. The only troubleshooting option I have left is trying it in safe mode with networking to see if it still crashes. But I can't access the internet via WiFi in safe mode.
Can you please help. When I try troubleshooting wifi, windows says it can't troubleshoot my network connection in safe mode.

I have done all of the "Windows Way" startup options, but no matter what, it still boots me into safe mode without networking. Love your lateral thinking to get around this issue. Great video!

All I’m getting is airplane mode on the sign in page WiFi button. As for the settings I’m not getting WiFi options at all. It’s only giving me Ethernet connection options. I even tried to search for the WiFi connection settings but it didn’t pull anything up.
Found something on my phones google search. It’s absolutely stupid that safe mode with networking turns off the WiFi drivers. Does anyone know how to turn them back on?

Hey there Britec! I wonder if you have a video on the following: I am trying to backup a secondary HDD. Disk Management shows it became RAW. Chkdsk /f was able to bring it back a couple times (so I backed up half of it), but now it won't work anymore. After running chkdsk it says it is ok, but in fact it is not. Folders and files must be still there. Funny is that this problematic HDD makes the whole system become sluggish (even not containing Windows 10), When I unplug it, system becomes smooth again! I appreciate any help!

Hi can you help I have a minisforum pc stick s41 I updated the intel graphics and now its pretty much just stopped working cant access advanced option I get error codes when booting up the 0000098 one it also says your pc needs to be fixed only thing it will do is start in safe mode but then cant really do much when I am in safe mode its driving me mad its happened a few times now and I have always been able to access the recovery options or use cmd to format the drive and reinstall windows but this time nothing only the error codes and safe mode thats it can you help thanks in advance

This not working for my issue, I have a USB WiFi adapter and the driver does not load in Safe Mode with Device Manager showing "Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware" and "The request is not supported". Is there a work around?
should we try this option when we cant connect to wfi?

Well, hello there 😊 I tried what you suggested without success. I'm running Win11 ver. 23H2 build 22631.2792 . Some of the options you showed were missing such as logging off and selecting a Wi-Fi connection in Safe Mode. The only option was Airplane mode (??). Apparently, the MSI Tomahawk MB's Realtek Gaming 2.5GBe adapter wasn't recognized at all and dead in the water. I solved the problem by connecting a Linksys USB3GiG adapter to my Pc. Windows 11 installed the drivers and then I rebooted into SM with networking. At that point I had a connection to the Internet. Thanks for your suggestions and love your channel.

Hej Brian thanks for the video very useful my internet connection works fine and I haven't had any problems connecting wirelessly in my laptop I run Windows 11 pro but I remember when I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 in 2015 then I had a lot of problems connecting wirelessly to my computer. So it was clearly drivers for the wireless network card that weren't loading as they should or something else then it ended with a clean installation of Windows 10 then everything worked as it should. But it's nice to have several solutions to problems you may have and a clean installation of Windows is a lot of work take care have a pleasant day.

Nice one Brian I do like this type of video being only semi-savvy - if only you had a magic wand to make my 50Mbs download quicker but my ISP is so pedantic about speeds. I have to say though that broadband speeds here in Australia are abysmal, especially in our rural areas.
I used to get good views from these types of videos, now not so much

pls can u solve my problem my computer freezes when ever i use any application. but it works perfectly in safe mode and all apps work smoothly.
for me it doesn't le me connect t wifi or ethernet cable unless i put it in public network + disactivate all firewall options
thanks for this. I've literally always had this problem be it windows 11, windows 10, windows 7, it always does this and I just figured that when it said safe mode with networking that you had to have a ethernet connection.

I have win 11 dis the same but nothing worked until I just held left shift hit restart and held until log in came . Then it was out of s mode. That's crazy. No bootlog just out.
Hi there, this solves issue if you have access to desktop, entered into safe mode with networking to resolve problem , unable to move from screen displaying something happened and your pin isn't available, click to set up your PIN again. MS password won't work as no network. Password However HP laptop has no lan socket only WiFi which won't connect as in safe mode, Any ideas on how to resolve this. One slight correction - you don't need to hold the shift key down continuously. You just need to be holding it when you click on restart.

After I sign out and click the little world icon at the bottom right corner, it shows I'm in Airplane Mode. I try and click on it for options but nothing else shows up. Won't let me do anything with it.
My dad's got a cheap HP, and his windows updates are downloading extremely slow and i know 100% it's not my internet speed. So I wanna put it in safe mode with networking to see if that would help with the updates.
I miss Windows XP lol
@Gamer_ Gentlemen I still never got that issue figured out either. I needed safe mode with networking to install updates bc it was super slow in reg mode. Had to wait hours to load any window.
But I just bit the bullet and waited the hours to get it done.

Open run>> type>>>… msconfic… a window will open then choose>> boot tab>>> tick on >> network then restart pc. Now your net connected

I currently have a issue of when transferring a large file to a network drive (usually over 1gb) my connection to drive drops out. I have to turn off and then turn on for the connection to be re established and start the whole transfer process again. Do you have tutorial on this issue or could you do a video on this issue (windows 10). Thanks in advance.

@@Britec09 laptop connected to WiFi and the storage is connected to ethernet. No issues on both networks just the file transfer

@@bharathyadav1589 sadly did not, eventually I realized that I could use a different device to download what I needed online to a USB drive and then transfer it over

My pc is connected via ethernet and have not been able to go into Safe Mode with Internet and the internet work.
Very strange, are you connecting to Safe Mode with Networking and have you check to see if services are running and if driver is loaded in device manager?

This doesn't work. First of all there is no "sign out" option (I am also on Windows 11) as it loks like accounts are not set up in Safe Mode. Secondly, the globe (which I can see if I don't sign in first) has no options for connections in it, just Airplane Mode. Indeed, "Safe Mode with Networking" seems to be totally without networking.

thanks brian but it didn't help the network list don't even appear for me useful video though ;) wlan services seem active by the way the error code is 53 failed to intialise in the device manager thanks anyway ;)
another things I saw by search the net is that some people had to load the wi-fi driver through usb for it to work in safe mode can you make a video on that? that would be interressting? ;)
