My advice to new investors: Buy good companies stocks and hold them as long as they are good companies. Just do this and ignore the forecasts and market views which are at best entertaining but completely useless.

The key to big returns is not big moving stocks. It's managing risk in relationship to reward. Having the correct size on and turning your edge as many times as necessary to reach your goal. That holds true from long term investing to day trading.

I totally agree; I am 66 years old, recently retired, with approximately $1.2 million in external retirement funds. I am debt free and have very little money in retirement funds compared to the total value of my portfolio over the past three years. To be honest, I didn't do all this alone, but with the help of a financial advisor. Having one is currently the best way to trade in the stock market, especially for people nearing retirement.

Is there any chance you could recommend who you work with? I've wanted to make this switch for a very long time now, but I've been very hesitant about. I'll appreciate any recommendation.

Well, there are a few out there who know what they are doing. I tried a few in the past years, but I’ve been with Melissa Terri Swayne for the last five years or so, and her returns have been pretty much amazing.

Thanks a lot for this recommendation. I just looked her up, and I have sent her an email. I hope she gets back to me soon.

Thanks for the analysis on gold and oil. It's always great to hear a contrarian view.

Great pod gents. MBI, interesting take on the co. Kaoboy has made some comments on Fannie and Freddie in the past( on other pods).
It would be good to get him back on the OTT to hear what he has to say about the GSE's.

Perhaps gold is rallying because a sufficient number of asset allocators are starting to doubt the survival of any flavor of debt regardless of the promised interest rate. At some point the dynamics change and we simply do not know the tipping point until we are within 500 years of the bloody waterfall when the roar of the drop has become sufficiently loud to awake the slumbering. Thanks for the video, I am grateful.

Massive difference between USD in 1997 and 2024. Relative rate differentials no longer dictate how desirable USD is - that's why gold's relationship with US real rates broke down. Furthermore, the global investment portfolios are already overweight USD assets.

Why would they apologize? You're the fool for listening to finance mafia, they not here to help you make money man, how can you people not realize that by now?
