Telly died 4 years after this was made Was too young to watch originals about 5 or 6 But now seen most seasons and the 5 films Just awesome Telly played the part brilliantly he's probably my favourite tv cop ever closely followed by Starsky and Hutch I'm 56 now so of that age of that brilliant time for the American cop programmes that came to our nation Rest in peace Telly Savalas George Savalas Kevin Dobson and the chief Dan Frazer Oh and from this movie Andre Braugher sorry if spelling wrong ♥️🕊️🍭
While filming in New York, Telly lived in the Chinese Pagoda house on Upper Mountain Ave Montclair NJ. We used to sneak through his backyard on the way to Kips Castle in Verona...Kips Castle is a replica of a Medieval Castle! Located in Verona and Montclair New Jersey
@@Kali4Action That's an amazing story Cheers Tales like that is why I love this format So ta for posting that You'd never expect Telly to live in a house like that ! Sorry went all THROUGH THE KEYHOLE THERE David who lives in a house like this ? Erm is it Telly Savalas ? 😂😂⛩️
Who loves ya, baby? I used to watch Kojak all the time when it was on TV. Loved that show. I thought I recognized Constanza's character but wasn’t sure who it was. She's played by Puerto Rican actress Cordelia González, very good actress and a great human being. So happy to see her. Thanks for the upload.
The hat its a shame Telly didnt keep the long black overcoat with the Fedora is was HIS IMAGE bless him because he was an absolutely brilliant giant of a man..there were moments the old Kojak shone through and its a terrible loss he passed 4 years after this movie..a wonderful character they just dont make em like Telly Savalis any more ❤
This is a completely different world!!!!! Privileged enjoying their privileges and the super rich protecting their riches! And the dregs of society performing a last act for their friends! Theo, you said it "It's always something"! You are the greatest!!!!!!!
Thought for a second there it would be great to have a crossover episode where Kojak has to deal with Kolchak! And then, just as I'm reading the intro credits, there's Darren McGavin! Lol
Love Telly Savalas, a real gentleman. I wish actors and directors would realize that you shouldn't wave a supposedly full coffee cup around. If you have a cup with liquid in it, you would gesture with the other hand.
Is that Marylebone Library behind the producer credits ? By Jove they stored some books in there. Good place to stop on the way to Paddington or King’s Cross
This NYPD office building and Kojak's office look quite spruce compared to what is shown in The Seven Ups, with broken down offices, 4th hand furniture, walls in need of paint, depressive colors and all that. Here we're almost in a Plaza like surrounding, probably to encourage young Master degrees to start working for the Police Dept ? Kojak as the Tom Cruise of the Navy pilots
Used to watch it last year with my lovely sister in the US
So happy to see it again in Spain
Just miss the margarita we drunk together
Funny time

@@davidandrews8963 this was in the 69-70s era, Janet Jackson was rumered to have moved in after Telly letter...
WHY do you HAVE to write that!?!?!!
WHY some people are enjoying the show
If you are sssssssoooooo sickly obsessed with death -- KEEP IT TO YOURSELF
A superior TV film from long ago.

The plot is predictable, but it is quite entertaining to see how they developed the storyline. I might watch it again, one day.
I wish we could have gotten a spin off of Crocker as a DA.
I was listing to this and with the voice of the man talking on the phone I thought I was listing to night stalker.
Savalas was almost 70 years old at the time of the filming. It's bit like with Horst Tappert playing Derrick until he was 92. Well, kind of :0)))

Crocker was a similar character to Kojak as Danno was to Steve McGarrett (Hawaii 5-0)

Obviously in the television NYPD there is no mandatory retirement age.
Actually there is one. Bad senario acting film critic early retirement age
