the 1950s are just revered as an absolutely remarkable time aren't they?so different than the 1960s,70s and 80s.just always absolutely incredibly atmospheric!just such a special time!

If you can overlook the hoaky adversary, it had pretty good dialog, and the cast was above average. Excellent Twilight Zone type opening.

This is perhaps my favourite of your always superlative stories. Absolutely superb in every respect, brilliant, captivating, suspenseful, expertly paced and plotted, I think this is utterly *perfect*. And what a delight to hear your narration. I enjoyed it very much indeed. Thank you, Mark. I will be eagerly awaiting your next story or They Got Away with Murder episode. Finding a channel that always provides such consistently excellent content is a next to impossible on this platform and you are head and shoulders above any channel here (though your talent would shine brightly in any medium).

they didnt care about animal cruelty back in the day...just run over a alligator then say they didn't do any harm...lol, however they did sorta cut to a definitely fake "Bump" scene so hopefully they didn't really run it over

two things annoy me right off the bat in the opening. One. I'd be thrilled if I woke up and everyone was gone, that sounds like paradise to me. Just empty streets, no noise...perfect world for me. two. Why do men, in these types of movies, always got to close the gap? Let the B run. Eventurally they'll come to you when they realize on their own they can't make it. But don't chase them and thus allow them to make you out to be the bad one. Boy how times have changed.

Angela Lansbury was the perfect person to play Mrs. Pollifax. When I read some of the books, I always pictured her as playing the role.

Since i 1st found this movie there have been a lot of cuts out of it ...making it not as fun!

I didn’t like the spy guy at first, he felt so full of himself, but the way he behaved around Mrs Pollifax just made me fall in love with him! Im close to the end of the movie and i am gonna be devastated if he turns out to be bad! I just love their dynamic!

Great fun, Lovely women in classic, smoking fashion, and great pegs. Two hard boiled toughs that use the same tailor, slightly dangerous robots and stellar stock footage! Got ya some RAF Mosquitoes, a Japanese radar dude, US Navy Panthers taking off, a fricking USAF B-47 with RATO rocketing a STO, a squadron of USAF B-26 Marauders darkening the ground. Topped off with a bunch of AAC B-25 Mitchell's, an a 1911. AI before AI: stock reels. :D Virginia Grey, was a treasure 50 years movies and TV. She worked with a ton of Stars. I remember from TV, a Queens M..F in the 70's lol. Pretty darn sassy in my opinion, her accent in this is wonderful. I need a pack a Lucky's, a 6er of Stroh's and a nice RCA console with a 3 button clicker. Slainte!
