@@rockinHurley777 The only videos that have the words broken or OP in them is if something is literally broken and/or OP. Which is to say it's either a literally broken exploit or it's kill bosses in one attack/in seconds level which I have achieved multiple times.

@@dramace11 you can only get one per run but it from a body near the gravity bull if I remember or you can ask a friend to drop one for you. It's not common for people to use them, I used the build it's pretty good I'm not that great but it work really well
This was a really clever build considering the occult instead of blood and the quad aerial animation from the sword, good job! I missed rivers of blood and wanted a cool bleed build 👍
Yo, anyone who is wanting to do something similar to this though isn't in NG+ here are some tips. Early game use the Bandit's Curved Sword as a secondary through the entire game. Magma blade is good, though it doesn't scale with arcane because you cant apply Occult, since you need to augment the Ashes of War on a weapon to make it Occult. An easy ashes of war to use/get blood blade as seppuku is not obtainable until much later in the game, and it meshes very well with the bleed play style. For the talismans, since the ones mentioned in the video require you to go to "late" game areas, the green turtle talisman, claw talisman, radagon's soreseal and winged sword insignia all are very good pickups for this character until you can get the ones mentioned above, gl!
The funny thing is, bleed build up on Seppuku (or bleed grease, sleep grease, etc.) does increase with the weapon arcane scaling, so Occult infusion actualy does more bleed than blood infusion if Seppuku is on. You get more AR and more bleed.
So have blood on or occult?
@@stevenmilnes7556 seppuku have been nerfed for a long time now, the base blood buildup of seppuku is less than half(85→35 maybe?), so even with arcane scaling it does not make up the difference.

Now that’s a powerful bleed build. I have been using 2 giant crusher colossal hammers. One is bleed, and the other is heavy with prayerful strike to heal myself with it, and I put bloodflame buff on it to help out with bleed buildup and adds a bit of fire on it.

@@rcaygumicabk8072 I basically have 1 giant crusher have blood affinity while the other is prayerful strike heavy giant crusher so I can put blood flame on it to have some heal and help with blood loss proc.
I wanted to give this one a test run before I committed to fully upgrading the weapons, and even at +24 and only about half of the items this is still a pretty damn good build. Looks like I know what I'm doing in NG+ now!
It’s honestly easy mode in new game plus I just finished my play through and only died to a couple bosses beat melania my second try and radagon and elden beast on my 3rd try

Small hint: if you already have the rotten winged sword insignia from Millicent's Questline, you don't actually need to get to the Haligtree again to get the Millicent's Prosthetic Talisman, if you kill her at windmill village or a later point in her quest, she should also give you her Prosthetic Talisman, no need to run through the "Fuck You"-Tree again

I figured this one out a couple days ago too! I didn’t have Millicent’s prosthesis, so I used the poison proc talisman & did cold & poison damage on the swords with occult scaling.
How's that in comparison?

It’s really a jumping attack/successive damage build with bleed as a bonus. Definitely awesome. Nice work. Subbed.
I used to play dual curved swords in D3 and gave them a go in ER. They preformed amazingly well especially with the bleed stacking bonus items. However, YOUR build brings it to the next level. I've rebuild my char to be in line with this video and I used it to complete the later 1/3 of the game. I just beat ER and I can say that this build broke the game. The final bosses all went down super fast without and took little effort. Even Malenia's first phase was over in just secconds. It's really nuts.
So I've been messing with this a lot and have found that there is only a very slight increase in damage with seppuku active on one blade vs two, blood loss would always trigger on the same number of attacks (maybe this is different for bosses and enemies with vary high resistances). So I tried using Chilling Mist with seppuku and with both active the damage increase was around 12% on the first attack, after that it was even more due to the 20% damage increase from Frostbite. Keep in mind that I don't have Millicent Prosthetic and I only have the regular Winged Sword talisman and there were no active buffs outside of items and weapon arts.
I've been messing around with different builds to be able to get Malenia down. Double seppuku really helps to make sure you proc bleed and keep her knocked down; cold might be more dps, but since she can dodge like a mf'er, making sure every hit does additional bleed is really helpful. I was able to actually bleed proc stun her out of her dance once or twice. Also since I don't have double scavengers, I need to make sure both blades have as much blood build up as possible. Certainly against bleed resistant bosses (elden beast?) I can see where cold would be better, but since Malenia is such a brick wall, I think double bleed is the way to go.

Once I realized arcane applies to 'discovery' i made an arcane blood build and set out to farm all the weapons/armor sets off mobs. Along with the item find charm, the bullet head helmet, the silver bird foot consumable and 75 arcane im over 305 discovery. Item hunting is actually really fun in this game.
Thats how i farmed everything i could find on the wiki now im just running around swapping between npc cosplays
This is a joke about my luck, but it's actually blind faith that raise item discovery. I switched my build to 80 faith and everything I was farming for just dropped back to back
I'm slowing building up my Arcane to help with farming now. My item discovery is 190-low200 because I don't always use the foot or hat. The hat throws off my outfit lol
I farmed for the thorned whip. Well worth it and plus it reminds me of the abyssal whip from Runescape.
Same here. I sorta just naturally went into the OP arcane direction from the get go without knowing it simply for the item discovery. Once I started learning how powerful bleed weapons are, ARC builds have been my bread and butter.
For anyone who is not in new game plus, for the 2nd curved sword along with scavenger I recommend the magma blade, and for the extra talisman since you can’t get both milliscents and rotten winged talisman in same play through, I recommend getting rotten winged and green turtle which will boost stamina recovery which you will need for all the jump attacks.

I’m doing a strength/arcane build with a focus on poison/bleed
Bleed to take chunks of HP
Poison to pressure them when they are low on HP
Strength so that I can use great shields to stall them out

I know it wouldn’t be nearly as strong but this has me thinking of another dagger build. I just love the move set.
This is the weapon that carried me through NG+7 when everything else failed. It's fast, does a lot of damage, can be boosted in many ways, and that passive bleed just destroys most enemies. I can see how in a new game + 1 it just destroys bosses.

Yeah I’m running these in ng+3 but I’m using Alexander’s shard instead of Millicent’s prosthesis, my question is which is better Alexander shard or Millicent’s prosthesis?
FYI, I haven’t got Millicent’s prosthesis yet as I didn’t know about her quest line in my first run through.
@@Pieces93 well I guess that depends on how much you use the weapon art. I personally prefer Millicent's prosthesis when power stancing fast weapons, and the shard of Alexander when using powerful ashes of war.

this build is awesome I took on mohg with it yesterday and the only thing I'm missing is the second copy of the curved sword and the incants but pretty much have everything else and he just melted mimic also helps 😉
Swapping out the swords and everything with bleed for Astel’s wing and the eclipse shotel (now that it’s fixed) and Alexander’s shard and a carian filigree crest has made my new favorite pvp build when using destined death from a black knife, and death lightning + death mist is great against invaders. All in all nobody expects the crazy damage from “non meta” weapon options, and those ashes in pvp from the wing and the shotel are great in pvp. They do some real work

@@thediabolicalraisin8953 it had a bug that killed by proximity that was patched out, so now it works as intended, as which is actually pretty good in pvp because it has an ash of war with death blight
Man. I thought my dual occult cross naginatas was good, but the curved swords jump attack really does push it over into "coo coo bananas" territory.
cross naginatas are better in PvP for sure. They apply a lot more pressure than curved swords because of the range difference.
The curved swords are good for their running L1 attacks, dual godskin peelers are better for jump attacks IMO

Bandits curved sword in one hand and scavengers sword in another also works really well. I used blood blade ash of war on bandits sword so both inflict bleed damage as well as giving me an option for ranged attacks

The grossmesser works well too...very fast and convenient farm also...Tombsward Catacombs behind the fog wall(stonesword key)

You my man feckin rock. With this build (on first playthrough) did it with the same and bandit blade. No resist and still did it first try.
I've been using this for a bit and love it. I still love the twinblades but the non jump attack move set on these is so good. The sprinting L1 attack is also an instant 4 hit attack and the swords have really good follow up.

The Godskin peeler black flame is highly affective to the final boss . It melts his health bar , it’s also really good against his second stage .

I've been running this for a while. Was melting Maliketh in about 5 seconds with it. Fun build when you just wanna help someone delete a boss.
I watched this video the day you released and I loved it, but I was working a Blasphemous blade build and loving it. However, just 3 days ago I spent 4 hour fighting the Elden Beast and dyeing over and over again. I had to take a break from it for a day. That is when I came back to this video and I decided why not give it a try. I got a respec to stats and Got the Scavenger's sword and had to use the Grossmesser with it. But with this set up, I beat Radagon and the Elden Beast first try yesterday morning. Thank you so much for this idea, you helped me beat the Elden Beast!

Been saying for months occult infusions are the way to go, high arcane/ occult, so I use the hoslow whips, 100 bleed per with over 500 damage, very nice, the cross naginata, scavs, grave scythe also as long as is has that built in blood loss you can use occult/rotten winged sword insignia/ lord of blood/ Millicents prosthetic/ and the claw talisman, I prefer radagon seal instead and the whips/cross naginata. So the bleed is just an added bonus, will never forget getting to radagon first playthru and hitting a wall since I had depended on bleed so heavily to that point, that’s when I discovered the occult infusions, very good stuff. Nice build.

I’m on new game +3 fixing to start and I’m thinking about running this bleed build!!! The first play through I went straight strength build the second Playthrough I went faith build. I figured that the bleed would be nerved so I never did the bleed build yet . But it survived the nerve so now it’s time to try the blood build love your videos my brother

I used a minor bleed build whilse using my shield during my first playthrough, while also using mostly guard/guard counter talismans. After that, I felt like I was "cheesing" most of the game if I did anything related to my build with bleed. Also using it to conquer roadblocks didn't give me the same satisfaction as beating them with pure damage. So now my new goal is to go through using a single weapon by 2-handing it, and that weapon is the +25 Unsheathe "Heavy"Uchigatana with me buffing the damage further through golden vow with either Vykes lightning or Bloodflame depending on what I'm facing. Maybe not even use them. Unsheathe is also great because it negates enemies' defence against the "slash/Pierce" weapon type. No more bouncing off rock men! Against groups? Darkness spell stops them from overpowering me, and crits give insane damage with dagger talisman. As well as Shard of Alexander to make my Unsheath to do even more damage. Ghost of Tsushima build baby! Technically still using bleed, but it's very mitigated and much more focused on pure damage instead of relying on blood procs. The only summon I'll be using is enough willpower to go through the whole game again with such an unforgiving setup.

Well, there is something else that deals a lot of damage too. Maybe not that much, but it's safer as it's from the distance.
80 Int (or 80/80 Int/Fth if you have Prince of Death staff for a little less damage than double Loss, but you don't need to get 2nd) + Golden Vow (15%) + Terra Magica (35%) + Magic boosting Flask (20%) + talizmans (+4/8/12/15%) + Staff of Loss (+30%) + 2nd Staff of Loss (if you don't have Prince of Death staff and stats).
Charged cast of Night Comet. Bonuses are multiplicative so that Night Comet deals 360% of its base base damage with. That's 4500 damage on enemy with no magic absorption. 2nd and 3rd to last bosses of the game changed phase after just 2 casts of it. And they don't dodge as it's invisibility sorcery
Just to understand. Night Comet is boosted by Staff of loss, due to invisibility sorcery, and Prince of Death is mentioned because while it doesn’t boost the spell it has a super high sorcery scaling?
So what is better then of the combination of Staff of Loss, Prince of Death and Lusats from your experience?
@@toms1782 If you're gonna use other sorcery, not just Night Shard and Night Comet, Prince of Death Staff would be better (but it'd require to level up Faith at the same level as Int), as it'd be good for all Sorcery. Better scaling than Lusat, without increased FP cost.
But if you don't want to use other damaging sorcery, then double Loss would be better.
Damage of non charged cast without Golden Vow, Terra Magica, and Flask (so just staves + talismans) with 85/85 (80/80 + Great Rune active):
Double Loss: 1801
Prince of Death + Loss: 1767
Lusat + Loss: 1697
Charged with all the buffs:
Double Loss: 4646
Death + Loss: 4520
So, if you'd level up Faith and Int at the same time, you can forget that Lusat exist, as then it's just really bad. Higher FP cost for less damage.
And like I said, with such a big numbers, difference between Double Loss and Death + Loss is small, so it depends what spells you use.
For most of the game (until I leveled Faith) I was using Double Loss and only Night Comet. Later I decided to sometimes use other spells for fun, but Night Comet was still the best. Then I was using Prince of Death for all Sorcery, so I wouldn't have to change weapon all the time.
My loadout at the end of the game:
Right hand: Prince of Death Staff + Magic Miséricorde (Bloodhound Step ash of war)
Left Hand: Staff of Loss + Golden Order Seal (scales with Int and Faith)

I believe you actually end up getting about 3.25x your base damage if the buffs are all multiplicative. Crazy
i dont think Multiplicatives work that way. additives it could work on the other hand.
This was already the exact setup I was running right down to the wondrous flask tears except I was mainly using it with the executioner sword and dual beast curved swords as back up set. I didn’t know this was a secret build 😳

Yeah, this is the strongest build in the game.
You could have given some tips about how to actually use the dual curved jumping attack (delay the attack when jumping to hit human-sized enemies, since the upwards swing misses if you attack too early in your jump), but yeah, insanely broken damage output.

I played around with a bunch of similar builds, and the one I liked most was the following
///Weapons:
Main hand - Scavenger's curved sword (Cold) with Freezing Mist
Off hand - Bandit's curved sword (Blood) with Seppuku
Main hand 2nd slot - Bandit's curved sword (Blood) with Bloodhound Step
///Talismans:
- Lord of Blood's Exultation
- Millicent's Prosthesis
- Rotten Winged Sword Insignia
- Radagon's Soreseal
///Armor:
- White Mask
The rest of the armor is up to preference, but try to hit the poise breakpoints of 56, 61 or 66. This will be very important in PvP, since it will help you get your running L1 attack off without getting interrupted by most weapons. You can one-shot most enemy players if you land both hits with Seppuku and Freezing (or is it Chilling?) Mist weapon buffs active.
///Stats:
50 Strength (Radagon's Soreseal gives 5 to hit the softcap of 55)
45 Dexterity (Radagon's Soreseal gives 5, Millicent's Prosthesis gives 5 to hit the softcap of 55)
Endurance to allow med roll with your armor that hits the poise breakpoint of your choice (remember to subtract 5 when you respec, since Radagon's Soreseal gives you 5)
The rest into Vitality, with a minimum of 40 and a maximum of 55 (Radagon's Soreseal gives 5 to hit the softcap of 60)
Investing into Arcane is not worth it unless you have extra points after hitting 60 Vitality. Even then, investing into more Dexterity is probably better.
///Notes:
Make sure Seppuku and Chilling (or is it Freezing?) Mist weapon buffs are active when you start attacking. When Frostbite procs, switch to your main hand's 2nd slot. The enemy will take 20% more damage from then on, including your bleed procs. This, combined with two talismans raising your attack power after every hit (twice, since you are dual wielding) is absolutely DEADLY, and I enjoy it far more than just doing two swords with occult and arcane. I can almost gaurantee it does way more damage. In PvP, it's just plain unfair, especially with your running L1 attacks. A single running L1 attack will proc frostbite and bleed (if weapon Ash of war buffs are active), instantly killing the enemy player in most cases.
Against bosses, it's almost not even fun, they die way too fast and there is zero challenge involved.
This is a level 150 build.
You could even experiment with using Fire's Deadly Sin (and not using the 2nd slot main hand weapon), possibly allowing you to proc frostbite over and over along with bleed.
That's interesting... at least to a complete Souls beginner like me. I understand the switching of the RH weapon to output more actual damage after frost procs. Are you switching to LH two-handed to use an Ash of War as well? Cheers!
You dont do more dmg with this older build dude. Not without the dmg buff from raptors chest, and the 2 invocations.
And for occult waepons is arcane to 80 way more effectiv than dex
@@druidjuicer636 just to apply Seppuku. It lasts way longer than Chilling Mist - it usually lasts me the whole fight, while Chilling Mist has to be reactivated sometimes if I didn't manage to get the frostbite proc (in other words, if I didn't manage to hit my opponent lol)
You'd think that using Seppuku before Flame grant me Strength would be best, because it lasts longer, but that's not the case - drink your wondrous physic, then use Flame grant me Strength, then switch to the Bandit curved sword (2h) and apply Seppuku, then you go back to dual wielding and apply Chilling Mist.
The reason for that order, is that Flame grant me strength lasts 30 seconds, while the 30-32% buff you get from Lord of blood's exultation + white mask only lasts 20 seconds. Chilling Mist lasts 10 seconds. That gives you a 10 second window in which all your buffs are applied. That's a 50-52% damage buff, not including the bleed and frost buffs on your weapons, and not including the spike in attack rating after you land the first half of your running L1 (that you get from the 2 talismans and wondrous physic tear that buff your AR with consecutive attacks). I think you actually get to 2200+ attack rating per sword after a few hits. The enemy is going to take 20% more damage from frostbite, so that means you could be doing over 5280 per normal L1 attack, or 10560 per running L1 attack when fully buffed. And that's excluding the frostbite proc and bleed procs, which probably do more damage than that

So they don't scale with arcane nearly as well
Putting points into arcane for extra blood build up is not worth it, as you proc bleed on your first L1 attack and your second L1 attack anyway
Also, remember that arcane doesn't increase the damage done by bleed procs at all, the only thing it does is increase the bleed build up, which is literally pointless in my build since its already so high
Try it out, the frostbite makes a massive difference

I tried a Lifesteal/Bleed build and it's really fun.
Talismans:
-Godskin Swaddling Cloth (Successive attacks restore HP)
-Lord of Bloods Exultation (Bleed Damage +)
-Takers Cameo (Restore HP after kill)
-Rotten Winged Sword Insignia
(Successive attack damage +)
Main R: Occult Scavenger's Curved Sword with Sepuku, then 2 hand so L1 is on your back.
Main L : Blasphemous Blade (Restores HP after Kill)
Great Rune: Rykard's (Restore HP after Kill)
Now build stats in Arcane/Dex/HP and Stamina and mana/faith dump the rest for Incantation Buff.
Past 45 arcane you get severally lower bleed proc build up, though more damge is always nice
Sure, but with this build you have incredible Arcane scaling on your attack damage too, on top of all the bleed scaling.

@@chadadams2338 Well I made kind of quality build on my first playthrough, focusing mainly on colossal swords and weapons and I had a lot of fun. Especially dual welding jump attacks, staggering almost everithing, were doing a job. But I agree - this might have been playing the game hard way, compared to other things avaliable.

the crouching sprint in attack also does a nice speedy 4 hit. i use this setup in my bleed/poison build with rot gods tallisman naked with blue dancers charm. not as effective as this but probably more fun

the gargoyle twin blades are actually better. they're identical damage wise when they arent buffed but if you apply sepuku to both the gargoyle twinblades do more damage because they come with bleed and the godskins dont have an affinity. still a great weapon though and i much prefer the design of them.

Setting up to run this build in NG +7 and I decided to try out Malenia with it before starting the next NG. Holy shit this build even destroys on NG +6. Even with regular Winged Sword Insignia the attack increase is insane. Thanks for the build!
That high of arcane is playing around in soft cap territory. You could easily sacrifice 10 arcane put it in faith and get roughly 22.5%-30% damage boost from stacking golden vow/flame grant str. Plus you would unlock all dragon breath atks besides laser one and other miracles and would only cost about 20 dmg probably.

@@onse8982 Golden Vow boosts all damage, not just holy, and Flame Grant Me Strength boosts both fire and physical damage. So they work just fine.

And using those talismans plus incantations and the tear flask i got up to 1700 per blade. Although at that point its just over kill for pvp.

I prefer this build, but there is one more powerful, but it requires you to be down at next to no health, commanders standard, double seppuku, flask, poison self with mushcrown swapping to white mask and be on crack with your dodging to make it work. Can beat any boss within a few seconds, but too much work for it.

Im actually going blood with poison and instead of lord of blood talisman i just use white mask effect and kindred rot talisman stacking prothesis and rotted winged insignia and claw talisman with raptor armor , making me deal so much mixed damage and its insane

Out of all these builds, this was the best. I'm even low arc but high dex and it balanced out, so I messed with the spec but still cam out on top. Just started run 3 and already 3 jumped the scion and tree sentinal.

I've been running something similar with 2xGreat Knife since arcane scaling was fixed. It's fun seeing just how far the build can be pushed/refined. =)

I've been doing this with the Grossmesser swords that you find on a Skeleton in a catacomb. it's absolutely devastating. I'm hoping they won't nerf this. I use it for PvE. I wished they'd stop nerfing stuff because of results shown in PvP

Coming back to say I ended up building this (mostly, used the turtle charm instead of the prosthetic because I didn't have time to go to Ng++ for it and the stamina Regen was really nice) to carry my dad from Maliketh through Final Boss. It's his first soulslike completion so it was pretty special. :)

There is a curved sword you can get from a wagon chest but it doesn't have innate bleed. The beasts in Farum Azula also drop a curved sword but same problem.

You know, a bit more in-depth detail about the things you need would be cool. Like the fact that you can't get two scavenger curved swords unless someone drops one for you, or you're in NG+, or that you can't obtain the white mask if you already killed mohg cause the invaders won't spawn if you do. Maybe those are important details. Maybe, idk. They just seem kind of important.

If you're using this build, I STRONGLY recommend the fully upgraded Mimic Tear Ashes to go with it. Having a clone of myself running around with bosses is incredible with this build.

Quick tip instead of going into ng+ to get the Millicent prosthesis and other scavenger blade just grab the Dectus halves use shortcut to liurnia to skip stormveil go to Altus and grab the sword . Then do Millicents quest line up to where she appears in windmill village and kill her there. Then just get a friend to help you transfer both items to your main

Forget about bleed for a second, what if you tried powerstanced magma blade curved swords on a faith or str/faith build with all the successive damage, jumping damage and fire damage buffs...
EDIT just tried it, same jump spam technique and massive damage with magma everywhere. Crazy thing is I think you can do it with flame art infused scavenger swords aswell, can someone test?
I did this with flame art falcions, fire cracked tear+thornycracked+firescorpion+powerwithin+rottonwing+milicentsprosthetic+clawtalisman will remove radigon.exe from the games files

You can also do this with fire and I haven't tested it yet but I'm sure there are other OP combos you can do with these buffs.

I used godskin peelers with bleed mainly because the amount of bleed buildup is insane. I have 132 on both before buffing everything up

Wouldn't putting frost on your offhand be better for the chunk dmg and debuff and since offhand weapons have a dmg penalty it wouldn't lose much DPs? Either way this is nuts

the double bleed buildup gives way more damage than a one time frost proc, even with the debuff
@@azu1394 you sure? The frost proc will do dmg and then every attack for 20 seconds does 20%? More dmg. Seems weird bleed would do more. Plus you can reset frost proc by hitting the enemy with fire
@@lacunarikain2 every attack would bleed with this set up, and as such taking frost would heavily reduce the damage of the first hit due to a lack of bleed, you also wouldn't get that first frost proc for a while. you would also be using a frost weapon, which arcane doesn't scale too so the weapon would do less damage. nothing survives 10 seconds against the build anyway, so heavily lowering your damage for 20 seconds of 20% more damage isnt effecient
It has been common knowledge from almost the game's release, that dual Scavenger's are the highest DPS weapons in the game against enemies that can bleed, and dual Bandit's curved swords the highest DPS weapons in the game against enemies that don't bleed.
How do you get dual swords? Do you have to get the other in ng or have it dropped?

@@bkdv It depends on the sword. Some of them you can farm them, some of them you can get only 1 per playthrough. Bandit's curved sword drops from skeletons wielding it so you can get multiple. For Scavenger's, you can only get 1 per playthrough, unless you have a friend drop one for you (and then revert his save, so you will both have it).
That being said, highest DPS weapons does not mean THE BEST weapons, or the easiest to use by any means. They just have the potential of dealing the highest DPS if optimized. For example these 2 pair of swords that i mentioned might have the best DPS in the game if optimized, but they have disadvantages as well, like short range, no projectile or AoE attacks, not able to stun as effectively etc. Don't get too excited by youtube videos or comments saying that this is OP, the other is Broken etc. Experiment for yourself.

Basically my build but I was using 1 seppuku and 1 blood hound step. I also use this with keen Bandit curved swords
I did something similar with claws/fists just because i prefer them thematically over swords but the faster curved sword attack + animation makes them obviously far better.
