- Today we will be visiting Limerick city. Limerick is the third-most populous urban area in the state.
It is located at the head of the Shannon Estuary, where the river widens before it flows into the Atlantic Ocean.

Lovely place..I wish I could ever go there
I’m from Chicago. My dad’s boss of 41 years, Maurice Nelligan, was from Limerick, Ireland. A true Irish man through and through. We lost him due to COVID this past Friday. This September I plan to go to Ireland and visit Limerick to honor him. I owe that man a lot for all the help and guidance he gave my dad over the years. It’s the least I can do to honor his memory.

Yes that's wonderful you plan to go to Limerick to honour him. Hope you will enjoy it it's my hometown 😊 make sure you visit the king John's castle and the Hunt Museum. Also if you fly into Shannon airport you have Bunratty castle to visit. A nice local pub in Limerick is the Locke pub. I don't know of any good restaurants as i am living in France a long time now and the city has changed alot. It's a great city very welcoming. 💚🍀

I am planning on visiting Ireland! Should I first go to limerick or Dublin first?
Well, depends on hotel's availity, but what I would do is to visit the closest place to the airport on your last days is better so you don't need to travel long distance at the end of your trip, so if your airport is in Dublin, visit Dublin on your last days. Also check for weather conditions and plan around it, visit the official website of the spots you visit, some places don't open all year round.

Hello Piyush. My family and I only went there for a day and had a great time :-) we have friends living in Limerick and they love it.
I'm from Limerick and it's a very safe city for families as for entertainment there are the usual cinemas and opening soon will be an opera site which will give Limerick another theatre we are also home to Munster Rugby and Limerick football teams, we have many venues used for concerts so come and judge for yourself and ignore the idiots that dare to slur our beautiful city
