Camping is very common and popular in Ireland because of its beautiful scenery. There are a lot of campsites around the country so we decided to camp for the first time in a family-friendly campsite, so we chose Wicklow, a place with endless natural beauty and captivating history.

Sorry to hear that's there's so much rain in Dublin.....I live in the south of France, up a mountain in a lovely village 45 mins from Nice....weather is wonderful, sunny and temps are very hot.
It is sunny now, this is Irish weather, unpredictable :-) but Ireland is amazing. I was in Nice two years ago, and it was lovely there. Thanks for your comment.

I visited Trim castle just before Lockdown. Well worth the small fee and the gide was very entertaining and knowledgeable.
Cork city a beautiful city compared to shithole Dublin
I'm descended from the de Lacy family through both my maternal grandmother's father & my paternal grandmother's mother. Both were descended from Irish immigrant, Michael Lacey, who departed from Dublin & settled in Maryland in the early 18th century.

@@JustVisitIreland Genealogy is my favorite hobby. Additionally, I was fortunate that my parents were 50 7 40 when I was born, & 3 of my grandparents were still around when I growing up, & 1 great-grandmother, plus lots of great aunts & uncles. I also had a much older cousin, retired from the CIA, widely traveled, who was a family history buff. Also most of my family have been around this area for over 240 years.
Sorry about the spelling & grammar. My spelling is generally pretty good, as is my grammar; however, I'm a lousy typist, especially when distracted - My daughter & her Mom came in from running errands, just as I was responding to your gracious comment.

During my 3 years living in Ireland, I often visiten Trim for walks and atmosphere....lived in the neighbour town Athboy. Great little introduction <3

Really? this is good, we haven't been in Limerick for a while, I would like to go back.
Unfortunately the aquarium is closing down which will have a knock on effect on the neighbouring coffee shop and ice cream shop which all combined with the promenade walk to make for a pleasant day out for the family.
