Hello Strumelia!, I am very glad with yours dulcimer lessons. I am from Spain, and I did not find lessons for dulcimer here, neither in youtube. I have a litle problems with the english lenguage, but I can understand you very well. Thanks four your kindness and for give us your time. Saludos from Spain and again thank you very, very much.
Thanks so much for these videos. I've had my dulcimer since fifth grade and I just started thinking about playing it again. These videos are helping me rejuvenate my skills and it feels amazing to hear the sound.
Thank you for posting these great lessons. I am just a novice with this instrument and although I am completely unfamiliar with it - I play old woodwinds - I do like it really a lot. Your videos are a great tutorial and help a lot. Thanks!!!!!
I appreciate your help with learning to play my dulcimer. I have a 6 string dulcimer and am just beginning. I would recommend starting with a 3 or 4 string. I do enjoy playing what little I can.
I have another question for you if course you're going to get sick of me LOL so what is the difference between a three and four string and why would I want one of the other and what's more traditional back in the 1800s early 1900s or don't you know thank you
Doesn't matter how many strings if you are playing noter style- it's either a single or a double melody string that you fret with your noter...and then all the rest are drone strings that you leave open and let ring unfretted.
Really like your style of teaching
