I love to watch and learn from Tim Pierce. First off, his passion and love for music and teaching really comes through. He has an infectious smile that just tells you he still has a great time playing music. The ideas he teaches aren't complicated but his feel is incredible. He gets so much out of so little.
Man YOU are FUN...I put down the guitar for 23 years to be a DJ...now at 70 I am longing to get back an learn what I should have back in the day...I see where with repetition I can really up my game. Thank you. Sooo Much!! loving it.
Oh, if Tim was anywhere near me I would beg him to take me on as a student. As much to be in his company as to learn guitar. What a stellar person/teacher. Thanks for doing these!
Tim, you are an awesome guitarist (obviously), but a terrific teacher as well. The way you demonstrated two ways to play the same phrases but with different tones and touch was fantastic. Thank you.
Hooray papastache for having Tim along. I got so many tips from you.Now having that knowledge got me prepped & ready for LL Mr. Tim Pierce. The hardest thing for me was breaking old habits. I'm so looking forward to more.... .
My god...I wish I had guitar teachers like you here in France. Your videos with Tim are really great, every time time i watch one of them it helps me a lot, and makes me progress really fast. Papastache, you are really special, your videos look great... you gays are just wonderhendrix good! keep like that!!!
Tim you have a way of showing and explain what your doing and how your pick the notes, that I find easy to follow both love the shows keep it up ps please remember not all of us can play well 😎👍🏻
Am I the only one who is finding that, even with the volume turned all the way up on my speakers, that the audio is very, very low? Also, how fantastic is it to be able to have a guitar lesson with Tim Pierce? Thanks, Papa!
thanks Tim and Papa... yet another brilliant lesson.. finally starting to get a grasp on and integrate this Hendrix style.. love it... you are both great teachers... I have learnt so much!!
Great lesson Tim, love the Sunday school vibe when talking about going from a D to a C. But, thank you Papastache for clearly recognizing "I assume by the name of the video" that this is not "a little country, a little rock or r & b" this is straight up Hendrix all day long! Tim mentions the stones, which you can hear in the choice of a two finger G. But everything else is pure Hendrix and I am surprised he never mentions that. Not complaining, just odd, I loved the video and was surprise he never mentions that the piece he is playing is pure Hendrix from touch, style, tone, everything! With a little yellow led better (but that is Hendrix all the way as well.)
This is so amazing! Exactly what I am working on now. Love the tasty licks and how to adapt them to different styles. Thanks for making it so clear and easy to learn.
Yes, that was awsome, Papastache. I will practice this one until I can play the style with the smooth touch of Tim's silk fingers, and delightful notes, then have one, what I'll call to be my Guitar shop show off riff when I demo new equipment at the store. :-)
Nice lesson, I wish I could repay you by sending you the 12 inches of rain we have had down south this week. I just picked up Get On Up, the James Brown story CD, love that Mo Town sound that Hendrix used at certain times. Side note, tell Frenchie practice guitar and spelling.
LOVE the Tim Pierce - Rhythm Guitar Lesson!! Any thoughs on doing a lesson- FOREVER MAN - CLAPTON ?? Just dug this tune out and would love to master it the PapaStache way :)
hey there you guys. love learning from you both :) thanks much for all your time amd greatness. I have a really tormenting video I've been trying to learn by SRV and there is no lessons on it anywhere. it is called SRV lost acoustic blues. that is something I know you guys would love to do a lesson on....well hopefully will I love it. it seems like a mixture of almost all of his guitar playing in one song...I'm sure you get a lot of these but this one has been driving me crazy trying to figure out what he's doing throughout this song. some parts I can get but %75 I'm just lost at what he's doing.
Thanks! I was wondering but I'm not at all surprised. I like Tim's video teaching approach.... Full lick, slow version, then broken down. Putting the context up front gives more advanced players a chance to skip the finger-by-finger breakdown and makes it easy to know where the break downs fit.
Loved the lessons!! I´ve been trying to make these hendrixians embellishments over minor chords in other shapes ( with the root on A string, for example ), but i've found they're not so natural to "melodify" as the major chords. Would anyone mind giving some tips?
If anyone could answer this question I would be so fucking over the moon, I've been trying to find out for ages. Is he playing in the key of G and using the major pentatonic scale to riff between chords? What's the theory behind it!
+Josue Albavera It doesn't matter everything Tim does ,As in how it come's across is in his fingers and right hand, It would sound the same with a strat of the same quality, Stop chasen guitar and amp and play, This is the problem with so called player these days they want the easy way out, There is no easy way, You have to do the work, There is no way around it, There is no simpler way, If you try to find one you and your guitar playing will Suffer, True Story!! And yes today im a TH-cam cop..
+Pistol Walker I know that, I know players can use the most cheap guitars and sound really amazing and if you aren't good no matter how expensive the guitar is you will still not be good, it was a simple question I was asking but I totally agree with what you are saying, never did I say I wanted it to sound like him I just like the guitar he was using and wanted info on it, I know it takes time and practice and a lot of discipline and dedication
+Josue Albavera just for your knowledge about finding the easy way off I'm a sax player since 6th grade and been learning theory and jazz so I know there is no easy way off I have learned my stuff countless hours and practiced plus I'm a teacher so I know buying certain stuff others play and use won't render the same everyone has their own tone and should find theirs, yes I'm that one guy who just ask normal questions
Josue Albavera I'm sorry for coming off the way I did, That's my problem in the world we live in today, I think everybody is living so fast that all of them are looking for the Easy way to obtain what they find valuable. In doing so I forget that there are others out there in the world that are thinking feeling beings that don't subscribe or belong in the category that I place them in. Something very strange happened with in the last hour that made me rethink everything that I thought I new. I've come to find everything is in fact very simple and we are the one's that make the hardships in our life's. Wow Bet you didn't expect that reply. In other words I've got something to pass along, But my delivery has been completely mar'd. Take care..
+Pistol Walker it's all cool like I said before I get what you mean people trying to find the easy way in many things, glad we could both not bash at each other and talk like mature people take care
No disrespect to Tim P, But that's not Hendrix or the stones, Take a listen back, You nailed the tone and style of the Black Crows, You guy's aren't hearing what your putting out, Your forcing what you think will sell, Not a good practice to do so. IMHO...But what ever pays the bill fella's
I love to watch and learn from Tim Pierce. First off, his passion and love for music and teaching really comes through. He has an infectious smile that just tells you he still has a great time playing music. The ideas he teaches aren't complicated but his feel is incredible. He gets so much out of so little.
Although a complete beginner, I love the way such an accomplished player like yourself breaks everything down systematically. You are truly talented.
Man YOU are FUN...I put down the guitar for 23 years to be a DJ...now at 70 I am longing to get back an learn what I should have back in the day...I see where with repetition I can really up my game. Thank you. Sooo Much!! loving it.

Tim has that effect! Thanks for watching!
Those pickups sound amazing. I wonder what they are? Anyone know? Tim's lessons are the best. Really.
GeroLubovnik Lollar S Series. That is what comes in most of the 60's style Nash guitars.
Thanks! I was wondering but I'm not at all surprised. I like Tim's video teaching approach.... Full lick, slow version, then broken down. Putting the context up front gives more advanced players a chance to skip the finger-by-finger breakdown and makes it easy to know where the break downs fit.
How do I play with such awesome rhythm and clean sound.
Besides the awesome lesson, I'm wondering where to get the shirt papastache is wearing. Anyone know where to get this or similar shirts?
Lucky jeans store
It feels good to finally start understanding what y’all are sayin’. 😂
Way to go!
how long have you had that strat? it is sick!!!
Loved the lessons!!
I´ve been trying to make these hendrixians embellishments over minor chords in other shapes ( with the root on A string, for example ), but i've found they're not so natural to "melodify" as the major chords.

Go to papastache102 and check out the playlist how to play like Hendrix.
pleasure lesson
“…. jus come ta Papa…” 🤙. Bob Seger
Lol!
Niceeeeeeee
Hear so much of Steve Cropper in there
Yep Steve is one of Tim's favorites.
If anyone could answer this question I would be so fucking over the moon, I've been trying to find out for ages. Is he playing in the key of G and using the major pentatonic scale to riff between chords? What's the theory behind it!
Hey there Drew - pretty sure you're onto it, it's pretty much just Gmaj pentatonic with a few extra notes thrown in here and there.
thanks so much
13:20 More licks in G
I hear all of those personally and to critique Tim Pierce I'm amazed at the size of your ego having totally missed the concept who are you
Anyone know what kind of brand that start is????
