Forget the clothes washing kit! In Europe campsites and Hotels have showers! Get in the shower wearing socks, boxer, shorts , jeans and tee shirt. Get nice and wet then soap your clothes before taking them off and walk on them as you shower. You wash the sweat, dirt and soap out. Put your fresh clothes on and leave the wet gear to dry overnight. If you have a tent with inner and out skins, the clothing will dry well between the two layers😉 If you travel in dry warm weather a small net bag takes little room and wet clothes will dry well in it if you place it on top of your baggage😉
Take some puncture ‘screws’ with you. They are screws coated in plastic substance which you screw into the puncture area. Cheap as chips and have saved me on a couple of occasions.

My lock works on brake discs and a chain together. The lock also has an Alarm that makes a horrible noise loud enough to wake the dead. If you're leaving your bike in a risky location, no one would want to suffer the noise 🤣
great video - we have done allot of touring but usually stay in hotels, we plan to try out a long trip camping, having done a couple nights testing so far we need all the tips we can get! What sleeping matt or blow up bed do you recommend?

I've read the comments here. Obviously after watching this "dont do this" video. Makes me laugh. This is aimed at those generally middle aged,overweight men that pass their bike test, buy a huge capacity "adventure bike " open the pages of the Tourertech catalogue, cover the bike in unnecessary, over priced gadgets..... then....... load it up to go round the world and then ride to Costa for a coffee. The real overland adventure riders have seen it all. The majority of the "tips" here are only relevant to those described above. I could go through each part and explain how it's wrong. But cant be arsed. I've got Costas to ride to.
Another reaction to this great video , now in English, what to skip bringing on your motorbike vacation when riding like Roland? Do not put 21 pairs of socks in your luggage for a 3 weeks motor vacation in Europe, or even underpants. You don't want to wash that stuff during your way or even carry the dirty textile home anyway. This saves you at least half of one side case. Cheap textile like socks can be bought everywhere on your way, so just dump the dirty socks (in a bin of course) and buy a new set of 6 instead of washing that shit while camping :)
Yes, that’s also a great option. I bring 2 pairs of socks but I kinda like the washing. My problem is I keep them hanging in the rain as seen in many of my video’s😬
I would say who cares, as long as you have your bike, your keys, you wallet and your phone, you don't really need anything else. As you say, you're not going to meet your new partner while out motocamoing, so who cares if you smell a little foisty 😂 Just have fun and enjoy the moment.

A heavy chain to loch the bike, I prefer a brake lock or similar and a motorbike cover.

Vast ritueel: maak een plan wat je mee wilt nemen aan spullen en geld. Laat 2/3 van de spullen thuis en neem eens zoveel geld mee. Altijd goed😁
