Just found you videos and they brought me back to reality! I’ve been increasing my weights, bulking up and gaining weight! I “forgot”, more like ignored, my nutrition. Getting back on track TODAY!
Weighed myself yesterday. I'm 8.3kg down (I've lost 1 stone 3 lbs). Thanks for your videos. "You're probably not in a calorie deficit" was / is great advice! I've really had to purposely overestimate & round up my calories to ensure I'm not using wishful thinking and deluding myself. I'n now back in a healthy weight range and want to lose another stone. Really feeling I can do it now. Thank you!
I lost 30 lbs by intermittent fasting and eliminating as much sugar as possible. I also lost muscle and was weak. Now I’ve improved my strength but have more belly fat also. I don’t fast much and I eat more protein. Still trying to find the right foods.
Yep, I expected results too soon last time I tried to lose weight + shift belly fat. This is a lifestyle change, not a month of 'being good'. Doing better now, thank you :) meal-planning a set protein-rich breakfast and lunch, and then having varied, moderately protein-rich dinners has helped a lot. Also upping my exercise so it's manageable and even enjoyable has helped too. It's important not to dread your routines. Your videos have helped a lot. Thank you!
She's right but getting NEAT high is key to creating the calorie deficit. If you get 10k steps, and get 300 calories of off your food, it's a total of 800 calories deficit. NEAT is very key!
To me, realizing thay belly fat is the last to go helps. I know to look at other places. My face, my thighs, back fat etc. I know that these places are likely going to show signs of progress first, before the gut significantly shrinks. In the old days, I would just focus on the stomach and think that nothing was happening!
That was an excellent presentation. Thank you so much! The first part was pretty easy for me. I quit drinking and cleaned up my diet and went from 194 pounds down to 168 pounds. I am a 5 foot 10" 58-year-old male. My goal is to get down to 155 pounds and about 15% body fat. I have plateaued and have realized that this last 13 pounds I want to lose is going to be a hell of a lot harder than the first 26 pounds! I am doing it, but I have had to really re-adjust my calories so I continue to stay in a deficit.
I ate a too few calories, and needed to increase mine in order to be able to live healthier and to burn belly fat. I could not cut calories from the place I was at before I started exercising. And that has been a trial and error journey ❤ and getting there. I am healthier, stronger and feeling good. Going to start tracking a bit more closely now as I am in a better place physically, and know approximately what food I eat now that sustains me in a good way. I have about 5 ounzes of chicken/fish/meat lunch and dinner and about 30grams of whey for breakfast, or some eggs if I feel like cooking. And of course carbs and fats added to that. It is a learning curve. I often end up eating too little fat, and need to add in a but extra so I dont go crazy 😅 I actually become a bit antsy and stressed out when my fats are too low 🤷🏻♀️
Hello! Awesome video, thanks for this! I did feel I was stuck in about a 6 week period where I was trying to be in a deficit, took a bit of a break and in 2 weeks I saw 1 kg come off! But I also introduced l-carnitine, is this what is also helping?
I love your videos and I’m learning so much!!! Thank you! Where do I get a fat measuring tool like you show on video? Can you suggest one please? Merry Christmas 🎄
when I started my journey to get back into shape this year, the first thing I did was to set my daily calorie targets. I kept my calorie intake to 2000 and my expenditure to 3500 on gym days, 3000 on non-gym days. ( I would use a Fitbit to track calorie expenditure) I would record all of this including my weight. Over a 3 month period I found that my estimated weight vs actual weight tracked very closely. Only A 138 calorie/day difference between the two, which was quite surprising.
Great video. I've subscribed. i saw one of your first videos a while ago about when you should be seeing visible abs. even though i only care about losing the fat from my belly first and foremost, i do engage in core exercises to eventually see the visible abs when i lose the body fat. i am currently at about 21.8% body fat and i am 5'4 sitting at 120 lbs. i hate when people say i look so skinny and that i shouldnt lose any more weight... but they dont realize i am trying to lose the remaining fat, therefore getting to a lower body fat %. my goal is 110 lbs and i am hoping it will finally be gone by then. from that first video i watched of yours, i did the math and i should be around 15% at that time. as we all know, women carry more fat than men. 10% is the minimal essential fat needed for women, whereas 2% is for men. so i am hoping to achieve that 15% body fat by 110 lbs! thanks for all the great advice, no bs. love people like you!!!
Thanks for sharing such great info. I do have to disagree on winter walks. Although they are cold but they also help to burn more calories 😂 thanks again
I’m 4’11 and weigh 99-100 lbs (from around 128 lbs). Lost my breasts and butt but the belly fat is here to stay 💀 I did both cardio and weights but now I’ve begun to feel significantly weaker at the gym, have trouble lifting the same weights I could lift with more ease before. I’ve begun to increase my calories (I eat intuitively, don’t track anything) and have tapered the cardio. But my motivation is slipping away slowly. Getting more inclined to binging as well, which was how I had gained the weight that I have now lost. Would you have any advice for me?
@varsha8592 You're not adding more calories. You're just changing where the calories are coming from, so add more protein to each meal. If you are trying to add strength and put on muscle two hundred extra calories a day coming from protein will not add any body fat plus if you get all those steps and it will negate The extra calories I aim for One gram of protein per pound of goal body weight, so if you want to weigh one hundred and ten pounds, you would try to eat one hundred and ten grams of protein each day. I hope this makes sense Check out mind pump podcast those guys are brilliant
@varsha8592 I can't lose belly fat either, no matter what I try. I always had belly fat, never had a really lean stomach. I think it's just genetic combined with insulin resistance for some people. I suspect liposuction will be it for me eventually unfortunately. 😱 Good luck to you.
Good evening Mrs. Chapman and how are you? I understand you're busy, however, was wondering if you wouldn't mind recommending a 5 day lifting schedule for myself, 37 y/o male?
