    I am watching this video now for a 2nd time, now that I have visited the town of Los Lunas While I only saw a small part of it due to time constraints, I must say that I liked the walkability of the town near the train station I found a gem of a store and some places to eat. I plan to go back and spend more time exploring I would love to visit the Arts and Heritage museum and maybe some parks the bus ride through Bosque Farms Peralta and Valencia was really neat and I saw the A Frame House where you once filmed Not sure when, probably in the spring, I will for sure be back Your videos sparked my curiosity in these places. As always, thanks for sharing your adventures and Happy St Patrick's Day and may the luck of the Irish be with you 😊👍☘🍀

    Love the music in this one, thanks for sharing the area, I still have not explored down there yet, but there's a strong possibility I will travel by train to Belen next Wednesday to see the Harvey House museum 😊

    The drive to Los Lunas down Coors/45/314 is beautiful. I used to take that route when I felt like some peace of mind on my way home to LL from Albuq. When you get near the river lots of cattails and at the right time of year, red winged blackbirds all over the cattails. My favorite drive to there. :D

    No no turn around, stop.. find i40 or i25 and run.. land of entrapment....LOL enjoy ...I do believe they will start building that new city west of 98th street. It was approved but with COVID-19 we will see, NM takes forever to get new stuff like in and out. El Paco loco should be here in 2 yrs. Also a bullet train from Denver to springs to Santa Fe to ABQ to Las Cruces to El Paso...I remember they said LA to Veges in 85mins.

    You passed the guy selling jerky in his car! Wow I spent 4 years in NM and had a delivery route that went through Isletta, Bosque Farms, Los Lunas, Belen, and then Socorro! Brings back good memories! NM is a live and let live kind of place. I left in 2018. Meadow Lake out by Los lunas was the scariest place I've ever been delivering.

      I would like to know what was scary in Meadow Lake and is that a problem when living in Los Lunas ? I am planninmg on buying a house in Los Lunas, that is why I'm asking

    • @progkast
      @progkast 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@hentertheplanter1998 I've heard that there's gang activity there. I went up to Meadow Lake a few decades ago to check out the "lake", it was a private hole that the contractors built to get people to buy there. It was abandoned, gross, dirty, and toxic. I was looking to live there and changed my mind. Looks like the "lake" was drained and the area cleaned up for a regular park? Driving around like 10 yrs ago, the area looked trashy. Maybe the odd nicer home sprinkled here or there. I think the nicer area in LL is probably Las Maravillas on the East side? Or West of I25, or by the LL High School, if you want a neighborhood, or near Tome if you plan on having horses and some land. I don't know, don't live in the area anymore, just guessing from my drives around there. Used to think Belen was garbage and LL was up can coming. It grew really fast and well for a time. Then it just stopped. Hear talk all the time on how it's become a drug/gang banger hangout. Belen may be your better bet.

    not sure where there is an aerospace museum down here in Los Lunas, the Harvey House museum is in Belen, another 10 to 15 miles south

      I'm from Los Luna's. Was raised there and witnessed the first traffic light at main st. and Hiway 85 (which is, I believe, called 314 now). I grew up there, moved away, then returned in 1997 and bought a house on the hill near the freeway. It was nice enough but was burdened by lack of planning and infrastructure. Mainly, only one main road up the hill, through town and over the bridge at the Rio Grande river. Being on the hill, away from the business district, if I went into town to do errands, if I returned after 2:00 in the afternoon, I better have not forgotten anything as the one road would be jammed with traffic 'til way after 6:00. First was school letting out, then returning commuters from work. Seriously, your trip would literally take you 5 times as long. I sold the house and moved out in 2010 and haven't been back since so go there and see if there is anymore access. Good Luck 🤞

    Moved to los lunas year 2005 , and now I have children and the fentanyl n meth other drugs have gotten really bad out here and I just don't want my kids to b stuck n a small village where everyone knows each other practically n drugs are easier to get then a city . Cus it's right next door down street everywhere it's not like a big city where the hoods n drug spots are separated from suburbs or certain neighborhoods. Everything is just so close

    Nice video but your timing on Peralta and Isleta were off by quite a bit. You were still in Los Lunas when you placed the Peralta label and Isleta doesn't begin where you had it listed. Im just saying. Not trying to be rude just accurate for your viewers 🙂

    No. Years of research and a descendant, Luna did NOT obtain the land in 1718. History is not what has been told.
